I think it could be an incredible 8 years since Celtic last benefited from a penalty miss in a league match.
It might be Stevie May for St. Johnstone in the 3-3 draw in May 2014.
It was the game, Celtic were leading 3-1 with only 5 minutes to go.
Zaluska saved the 1st half penalty due to Fraser Forster being rested, with the title already being wrapped up early.

Recent penalty misses :-
Bain saved against Lille in the Europa League.
Bain also saved against Hibs in the league last season BUT Murphy scored the rebound.
Forster saved Morelos penalty in the League Cup Final in 2019.
In August 2019 Hearts missed a league penalty at Celtic Park BUT they scored the rebound for a late consolation.
I remember Craig Gordon saving a penalty in Israel, which secured Champions League football for Celtic.
Craig Gordon was our keeper from 2014 until 2020 and maybe the crazy stat from above could be correct because his record at penalties was horrendous.
Fraser Forster had a brilliant record at penalties for Celtic before Craig Gordon was signed.
It's hard to believe it's 8 years, I've probably missed One or More but I will double check at lunchtime.

I had a quick look on Transfermarkt stats and I did miss One.
Fraser Forster saved an 85th minute Alan Power penalty in September 2019.
Celtic were leading Kilmarnock 3-1 at the time of the penalty.
The Hearts penalty miss last night, was the First Crucial penalty miss the Celtic fans have enjoyed in a league match for a long, long time.

Bain must have decent stat for penalty saves.

Scott Bain’s career record at saving penalties isn’t good.
He’s only saved 7 from 49 attempts.
His penalty save from Jonathan David of Lille, was his first penalty save in 4 years.
Scott Bain’s record for Celtic is okay.
He’s saved 2 from 6 attempts, although Hibs scored the rebound from one of his saves.
