For our Buzzbomb

Buzz you said that this season Celtic will play more away games against Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts than the new club.
But surely when the Split comes around end of April, Celtic are due 3 home games as we only had two home games last season and the protocol, as far as I am aware, is to balance fixture anomalies out over two seasons.
Are the SPFL ignoring this protocol?

Your right Tim, Celtic will play 3 home games after the split this season.
But Celtic will be due to play 4 clubs at home after the split, which is too many.
If Sevco, Aberdeen, Hibs and Hearts all achieve a top 6 place, then Celtic will be forced to visit Pittodrie, Tynecastle or Easter Road for a 3rd time this season because Celtic can't play 4 home games after the split.
Also Sevco will only visit one of those big clubs Once this season and that same club will be forced to visit Ibrox for a 3rd time this season.
The argument Tim is that the Scottish Football Authorities had a 50/ 50 choice to send Celtic to Tynecastle or Dens Park Twice before the split and they chose to throw a spanner in the works and send Celtic to Tynecastle Twice.
If they had chosen Dens Park Twice, the fixtures after the split would've worked out perfectly and certain clubs wouldn't need to visit the same ground for a 3rd time in the same season.

Why ain't our board asking questions, especially when there's 40m big one's at stake, and our board like money, mainly ours.

Since Sevco played their first ever season in the top flight in 2016/ 17,
Both Celtic and Sevco didn't need to play at the same ground for a 3rd time until last season and it was probably due to Livingston unexpectedly finishing in the top 6.
Last season Livingston came to Celtic Park for a 3rd time and
Sevco only went away to Aberdeen Once and Aberdeen visited Ibrox 3 times.
So it should be quite easy for the peepul running Scottish Football to predict who has a better chance of reaching the top 6 and then the fixtures will work out evenly.
That's why the disgraceful 50/ 50 decision they made this season before a ball was kicked is absolutely shocking.

Sevco did go away to Aberdeen twice last season.
Livingston went to Celtic Park 3 times and Livingston also hosted Sevco 3 times, to level the fixtures out.

Get rid of the split, go back to an 18 team league.

Does it really matter? If you want to win the league you have to beat them home and away anyway.

royjac,
Yes you do need to win home and away.
But playing the same club 3 times away from home whilst Sevco get to play that same club 3 times at home isn't fair play.
The point of the argument is that Celtic should've played Dundee twice before the split instead of Hearts because there was No chance of Dundee achieving a top 6 place.
That was the logic choice and the fixtures would've worked out fairly after the split.
But now that won't be the case due to a farcical 50/ 50 decision.
