I have read a few posts on herethinking we are just going to cruise the oldco game this week. it may be an unpopular opinion but I think a few of you are getting carried away. I think they are going to play the same counter attacking football they played in Europe. They are a very well organised side and this could be a big test for the high defensive line we have been playing. I am hopeful of a victory but it is still early days. Oldco away is a lot more difficult a game that St mirren or Dundee at home.

I’m inclined to agree with you SOS.

Psychologically the next Old Firm game is massive for us - a positive result at Ibrox is a marker that we up for a title challenge. Confidence stays high.

A negative result sees them push away from us early in the title race but more than that tells them they don’t have to be firing 100% to beat us. The media start to criticise us for not beating the bigger teams and the feel good factor slowly erodes. Ange will need to draw on all his experience to ensure heads don’t go down.

Being caught on the break concerns me, as does getting dragged into a dog fight in midfield. However, if we get Rogic and Turnbull threading some balls through to Kyogo down the middle I can see him tearing their centre backs a new one. It'll be intersting to see if we adapt our approach slightly or not.

I think they are down at the minute and if gerard needs to motivate them to play against us then we will run riot. AZ are the best team we have played and the only concerns are exactly what you Bhoys are saying. I would have liked to see new rb and lb well bedded in before we faced them but If the manager gets his tactics right then I’m hopeful that we can win both this weeks games.

Said earlier a draw would be decent, it's a huge test, ange doesn't get carried away when we win so we as supporters can't get too negative if we get beat which could happen. sevco have a few goalscorers that chip in.

With what I have seen so far of them our wing play and a high press will have them on the back foot. Their full backs like to roam forwards which will leave them exposed for our pacey players to take full advantage. Im quietly confident.

I'm hoping for a win. But they are going to play very compact and disciplined. Its going to be hard to break them down. When it comes to these games form can go out the window. Even a loss isn't the end of the world. The league is a marathon not a sprint and we are only going to get better the more time Ange has with the team. I don't expect a loss but do fear vulnerabilities may show as they are very good at counter Ttacking football.

The venue, toxic environment and pressure is new to a few of our players and the manager. All we can do is play to our strengths and protect the back four when necessary.

I would take 2 draws this week tbh. AZ were unlucky not to score last week and game was closer than scoreline suggests. If they have their shooting boots on it could be tricky enough to get thru. The tribute act aren't at full speed yet and will hopefully be drained from their travels this week but with 50k of their lot in Ibrox it could be a hard game for us.

I just wish we had some cover in central defence. I am still to be convinced by Starfelt and if an experieced left sided defender was there it would give us options. An extra body if we get a dodgey desision or injury. I would hate to rely on Bitton.

Jonace, liam Scales will be signing shortly. There are options for him to play in. Left side CB, LB and LWB. As I said before Liam might not be a ready made fit for us just yet. But I've watched him a lot for Shamrock Rovers and for UCD. It will take him time to settle and when he will settle and gets used to the fast tempo Ange plays, he should make the grade. Ange's style of football will suit Liam.

I think it'll be a high scoring derby but I fully expect us to win. Hopefully a wee Hattrick for Kyogo too after this weekends events!
