United Ireland and Cork Paul

Update on the young hoops as requested.

Massive difference in class between Celtic B team and Berwick who we're packed with honest journeymen God bless them some of whom were several pies past their best so hard to judge.

Bosun Lawal had a very good game. He surrendered nothing to nobody stayed on his feet and read the game well. Rocco Vata looks promising and scored a peach from an excellent Owen Moffat through ball who also has potential. Adam Brooks was another that caught the eye and scored the second to make it 2-0 to Celtic. Leo Hjelde also looked tidy.

One midfielder I saw that caught my eye when leaving the stadium who had a fantastic left foot was one John Collins. Oh for Collins snd McStay in the middle of the park!

Our day will come again.

Sounds like a good night JFP. Young Rocco lives 10mins from me and I read that he recently signed a new deal.

That's a great report JFP. As I said when we signed Lawel that this guy will become a first team regular sooner rather than later. The report on him doesn't surprise me as I know a lot of him. It seems a youth players are in good hands and we are producing great young players. Hopefully with Ange now at Celtic are young players get the path to the first team they deserve and we see an end to our youngsters leaving the club.

Pedro

Rocco looked very much the part and undoubtedly has potential. He was hitting the byline for fun.

Paul

Lawal was at a canter and looked like he could step up a level. He didn’t break sweat.

thanks for the update JFP. that's what i noticed about lawal to mate he surrenders nothing and gets stuck right in when challenging for the ball. big lad to and has that physical presence.

Young Moffat comes from a good Celtic family so fingers crossed he can make the jump up.
