I was thinking about this Lapadula, rumour, even at that age and that price, if he is one of these guys that have kept themselves fit, it could be a shrewd move, I confess I don't know anything about him apart from that he was third highest scorer in the Copa, and scored a few in Italy last year, so is obviously a talent.

He's a good player, I know he's played for a few clubs in Italy but that is common in Italy for players to move between clubs frequently. He was at AC Milan for a spell, I can't see us paying what would be our 2nd highest transfer fee for a 31 year old where we wouldn't make a return on. If he was out of contract then that's another matter and would be worth a punt imo. It's just a rumour anyway👍.

For the same price we could get nesbitt and the guy thomas hendry i mentioned and barring injury get treble the years of service out of both. lalapalas record is bang average to poor . hopefully just a lazy paper story. not having a dig malky but how many times have you atually seen this guy . remember our left back from last season was also at Milan. These guys who have been passed around on loan like an old scud book usually tells a story of a player not good enough.

He's 31yrs old, played at something like 15 different clubs in Italy and 50% of the time he was loaned out to clubs in Serie B.

Milan apparently paid 9M Euro in 2016 and then to Genoa for 13M euro 12 months later 🤔.

None of the above means very much, I just think it's highly unlikely.

I said it would be worth a punt if he was out of contract but not worth £8m or so. I've seen him plenty of times as I'm a huge fan of Italian football. He's not world class but he's not dug meat either.
