Norwich quoting teams 40 mill for the boy Godfrey just relegated. so if eddy goes and kets hope it's bext season let's get as much as poss. still think kt went cheap when you see some bang average players down there.

Pretty sure arsenal will agree.

If Godfrey is valued at 40m then Eddy is easily valued at 70m, absolute madness, the lads a good defender and has plenty of potential, however he has played 3 times for England U21 and he is same age as eddy, eddy has played double the games and scored 11 goals at u21 International level, so in my eyes he's easily valued at a much higher price.
I actually think we should accept nothing less than 40m, and I would try get eddy signed onto a new contract with that as a buy out figure, that way we know if he was sold it would be for the right price, a price we can't really knock back, then invest 6-9m on the next eddy and carry on the glasgow ajax model.

{Ed007's Note - Transfers don't work like that and neither do buy out clauses. If Peter Lawwell met his opposite number from a potential suitor and started quoting other players prices he'd be laughed out the room and do untold damage to the Club's reputation in the transfer market.
Would you be happy if we paid £9 million for say Turnbull because of the prices of players in England? Why should Celtic play hardball but Motherwell shouldn't?}

I think 50-60m is not a ridiculous estimate of the price clubs would be willing to pay for Odsonne. The reaction from sevco fans would be utterly priceless though.

Why shouldn't Motherwell? Unfortunately our teams can't afford to turn down big money like the whores in England can.

But if we received 50m say for eddy we would be massively tight fisted not paying 9m on another player when we had just made 41m profit.
