Have we signed Ben Davis? Lots of words saying he's coming. I don't know who's left in the scouting/ operations side who would be pushing him.

Nope and won't happen in my opinion Ben Davis will end up at EPL or Championship side.

Read one story Mal suggesting Davies is currently in talks with two clubs but no names were mentioned.

I personally think we can attract better than Ben Davies IMO.

{Ed007's Note - According to Ed002 Celtic have certainly considered Davies as an option but are looking at others. Middlesbrough offer an option but see the asking price as too high while Blackburn, Fulham and Stoke have been sniffing around.}

If the price is circa 4M Ed, as has been muted, I don't see that as good value for Davies. Chances are his wages will also be on the high side.

We need a capable CB in this window as cover and to challenge CCV and Starman, particularly if Julien is away/ unfancied.

Neither Welsh or Lawal, for different reasons will do, but I'm hoping for better than Davies especially at that kind of money.

{Ed007's Note - It was reported that Davies signed a 6-year deal with Liverpool on February 1st 2021 and is on around £60k a week which he has no chance of getting with us or any the teams that are interested. He will need to drop his wage demands to get any permanent move away from Anfield and it could come down to a pay-off from Liverpool. There's always the possibility that Davies could go out on loan for another season and his wages will be supplemented by Liverpool but they want him off the books completely this window.}
