That’s the boy Romano reporting we’ve open talks with Spurs about Hart. He’d surely be an improvement on what we have just now but would I be saying he’d be a good choice 18 months ago.

We were linked last season and no one wanted him. He's played at the top level for both club and Country so for me it's a no brainer. He might have the odd mistake in him but so did Gordon yet I see a lot of posts saying we shouldn't have let him go.

It’s a no brainer considering our current options and I don’t think we’d have to pay much if anything.

Listen he would stroll it up here, sometimes a change works.

Its a no brainer for me, we have to get him or similar. Experienced and a voice at the back. What worries me about Barkas is his acceptance of the goals. No reaction no voice no anger. Not good enough.

Although Hart hasn’t played a league match since Boxing Day 2018,
He must be still half decent to be the number 2 keeper for Spurs last season.
Hart has played in plenty of European and cup games since his last league match.
Joe has loads of experience and he would be a major upgrade on our current keepers.

Hart doesn't tend to save shots that come to his left hand side, surely we can do better than him.

He kept 5 clean sheets in 10 games for spurs last season when big Hugo was injured.
The problem that we have is that he is on £50k a week which we wont/ can't pay but he could get that from any mid table teams down there.
If he is interested in the money we have no chance, if he is interested in winning things and playing in Europe again then we may have a chance.

Keepers have longevity and can aye till there 40 look at sevcos.

I think Hart will be more interested in playing reg.

Not hugely excited on this one, but anything like that is an upgrade on what we currently have.

Would much rather see big forster back though.

Far better than Barkas who is the Rafael Scheiidt of the goalkeeping world .

He's an upgrade that's for sure but I wasn't keen when we were linked at the start of last season, he's certainly got a few blunders in him. but maybe the last few years being 2nd choice has gave him his hunger back.

Hart is better than what we have IMO but surely we can do better than Hart? But we do definitely need a new goalkeeper for sure.

He should have been signed this time last year, no question about it. I remember actually making a post on here last summer saying we should go for joe hart and most people laughed at it due to the fact he got released by Burnley.

I'm not saying this because of the way it has turned out for barkas so far but I genuinely believe we should have went for a British keeper instead last year when going for the 10 instead of spending the money on a foreign keeper who would most likely need time to settle never mind in the middle of a C.V.

Apparently Lennon was the one who decided against a move for hart but that decision has massively backfired, people can say what they want about hart and how his career has went downhill but the main point to remember is a footballer be it a goalkeeper or striker, the ability is never lost it's always there, a loss of form over a period doesn't make you a permanently bad keeper.

This is a guy who just needs somewhere settled and a bit of confidence back to get where he was before and I've no doubt Stevie woods can help him if we did make the move for him, he's 34 got bags of experience and knows the British game inside out and played at the very top and was arguably the best keeper in Britain for a few years.

With the way our squad is just now an experienced keeper and a leader is exactly what is needed because barkas and bain aren't going to offer that, of course it needs to work both ways and hart will need to see something to want to come here but if he's keen then this is a no brainer of a move.

I can remember your views on hart last time mark, you were all for getting him in mate.

Signing hart for me is a no brainier. Yes he’s got a mistake in him but this could be a chance for him to get himself to a club that’s screaming out for a No1, not a 2 or 3 and sitting around warming a bench. Barkas couldn’t lace harts boots that’s for sure, probably to scared to touch laces given he’s the same touching a baw. This will come down to harts ambition. If it’s down to his no doubt hefty wage he’ll stay south, but if at 34 he decides it’s not about money and more about game time, being a No1, winning trophies and playing some sort of European football then it’s there for him to do so.

Hart will be a good signing. Right now, a Scarecrow with a wide brimmed hat would he a feckin step up.

Hart is a shocking keeper. Ask the west ham or Burnley fans their opinion of him.

This is set up to be a spectacular failure of a signing. What we need is a confident reliable keeper not somebody who has a howler in them and is well past their best.
Seriously underwhelmed I’d this is road we go down makes me even more gutted that we aren’t making Forster our priority signing!

We should be trying to sign the guy Ward that plays for Wales.

Spectacular failure signings are the norm at us. 4 out of every five, intil recently, have been utter duds. Happens when you have the worst recruitment team. and tight fisted, ditgering bosrd in world football. Last night makes it 10 out of the last 13 attemots in the CL failed all down to never being prepared. Im. more concerned our board of bell ends are staying, more than Hart coming. Barkas Bain or Hart? That isn't even a 5 milisecond consideration.
