Cant say I'm overwhelmed with this. The boy has only scored about 8 senior goals would've rather we went for a more developed striker and not another project as it's too tight to call in the league. Hopefully he hits the ground running.

Many on here wrote off elhamed without havin even seen him. this boy has been recommended by big Jackie and zurawski and they'll know a hell of a lot more about him than anybody on here.

Injuries aside ed he's looked the part.

{Ed007's Note - So did Derk Boerrigter, Simunovic & Kouassi look the part when they're not injured and some would say the same about Rogic.
I remember reading NL saying that when he was watching videos of Elhamed he kept asking himself what the catch was, getting a player like that for £1.6 million - maybe now we're finding out what the catch was. It's no use looking the part in a couple of games if you're going to spend the majority of your time out injured or on the bench struggling for fitness, don't forget he was benched in the league to keep him fit for the EL.}

A don't think anybody is writing the boy off mally, he could come in and bang them in or head down the same road as bayo last January, I personally think it'll be the latter just for the sheer fact it's a young boy coming from another country who will probably need a lot of time to settle and that's not what we need right now.

I wouldn't have any qualms about this signing being made in the summer as it's the start of the season and it fits our signing policy of buying with re sale value but like or not we're in a title fight and need someone right now who has been about the block a bit and can come in and score goals and help edouard out as Griffiths and bayo just aren't cutting it this season otherwise lenny would have played them more.

Signing a young lad in January with 8 goals to his name and expecting him to help fire us to the title is a bit too ambitious imo, hopefully he proves me wrong tho.

Fully agree preferred the other boy From Slovenia Bratislava who’s going to Portugal for £5m, he has been banging them in and would expect him to hit the ground running.
The Polish boy I expect will be better next season, if I’m honest If prefer Glen Murray or even Shankland to help out Edouard at least Murray was capable one BPL of finding net with side who don’t score many goals and Shankland is low risk with great goal record albeit in second tier, he’s a natural Goalscorer and would get plenty of chances.

Agree with comments above it is the fact we can't be doing with projects we need experience. Lennon wanted experience. Just reeks of the cheap option to me when you think the 3 strikers mentioned was Sporar, Kadawere and Klimali and the one we go for is the cheap option as per. Zurawski said it was a risk as he's by no means the finished article.

He's also saying he's 1st choice he won't go and sit on the bench anywhere. I would've expected a higher quality of striker if Edouard is for the off in the summer for what's being quoted as £30m.

totally agree with this as a matter of fact its rather puzzling looks to have great pace going in behind but personally think we need more of a hold up striker.
