This has been a strange one. It was in the papers one morning and then apparently the next day we had made a bid. Ever since that there's been absolutely nothing.

West Brom had their bid knocked back.

Other than the boy from Israel, does anyone know of any real interest in any player?

The only concrete offer we've apparently made for sawyers was 1.5m that got knocked back a few weeks ago, don't think there's been a bid since.
West Brom had a 2.2m bid knocked back today according to sky so don't know exactly how much Brentford are looking for.
He has a year left on his contract and a few sources say they're looking to keep him but would consider bids of 2.5m-3m but total speculation.
Elhamed is pushing to get a work permit before he's allowed to travel over to complete a medical, personal terms supposedly already agreed so everything going well he should be signed in the next week.
Apart from that it's how we were, new names linked but total speculation.

Sly said we bid 2mill a few weeks ago.

Yeah we made a bid for £1.5m and refused to go any higher as he is in final year of contract with them wanting double that we left the negotiating table.
Now West Brom have had £2.2m deal rejected can’t see us paying the £3m they want so will be interesting to see if West Brom come in with £2.5m to see if they accept it and if we then match it.
Scores a lot of goals from outside the box I think he would be a good addition personally.

Haven't seen him play tbh so don't know if he would be a good addition or not,
I personally think we have enough quality attacking midfielders and should be looking to offload ntcham or kouassi and using the funds to buy a tall physical box to box midfielder who has the attributes to cut it against the top teams if we get to the group stages.
Brown and mcgregor play well together in the league but I think we could be doing with somebody else in there to make it more compact.

GGGG, You say he scores a lot outside the box, but wiki shows him as only scoring 6 in 3 years. As I don't know anything about him is wiki wrong and he's actually scored more?

Use brown sparingly cal Mac is made for broonys position we played our best football when he was in there yes me may lose a bit of grit but calmac 1st touch is on the front foot love that as for box to box Christie has that in his locker he’s more consistent than Armstrong ever was ad prob the nearest we’ve had in that position since Petrov. Jamesy has earned the rh side slot but hoping Shved and arzani push him as for the left (sorry Kev not sinky) is have eddy in there so for me it’s another striker we need not midfielders.

If we do get through to the group stages I can't see us playing the same formation with the same players against all the top teams who will just run over the top of us.
We do have a lot of midfielders but we're still missing something there if we're going to try and make a game of it in Europe.
McGregor is suited to browns position but what if he gets a bad injury?
Christie, great engine and will run all day but winning tackles and breaking up play isn't his strongest point, it's getting the ball and running with it and making a pass.
I wouldn't want ntcham in the team after his performances last season and his attitude recently so that's why I'm saying we could be doing with another quality midfielder who will bring something different, let's not forget as bad as it sounds saying it, sevco ran all over the top of us at ibrox last season because there midfield were playing together, even though with the quality we have it should have been the other way around so there is clearly something missing there for us.
If we played 4-5-1 in Europe with brown mcgregor and another solid player in the middle with forrest and christie on the wings and edouard up top I think that would make us far more difficult to break down.
