has anyone you heard anything about a big boardroom shake up in the summer?

1.) 17 Mar 2017 11:44:13
No, you?

2.) 17 Mar 2017 15:27:02
Heard the peter lawwell is off and to be replaced with the managing director at Glasgow airport, can't remember her name. It might actually have been on here I read it now that I think about it haha.

3.) 17 Mar 2017 21:16:19
yes, heard desmond thinks things are a bit stale and stuffy at boardroom level and wants some new blood to give it a jag.

4.) 18 Mar 2017 18:08:16
Heard D King is interested in investing.

5.) 18 Mar 2017 23:36:03
did he finally find his cash benny? lol.

09 Mar 2017 23:52:13
was reading an australian football article they were saying rogic is nearing full fitness, i remember rodgers saying april so he can't be far off returning.

1.) 10 Mar 2017 11:16:31
Hopefully be back playing and fully fit for the semi final.

04 Mar 2017 12:27:50

1.) 04 Mar 2017 20:19:52
confirmed online now for the disagreeing person.

2.) 05 Mar 2017 10:52:19

27 Feb 2017 18:28:23
efe ambrose having medical at hibs, emergency loan.

1.) 27 Feb 2017 18:50:51

2.) 27 Feb 2017 19:50:52
i wouldn't lie about that dud leaving lol, also reports he's joining bastia in the summer.

3.) 27 Feb 2017 21:32:17
Hes out of contract in the summer i think. Wish him all the best at hibs.

4.) 28 Feb 2017 11:18:53
Don't understand how a club the size of Hibs needs an emergency loan signing, surely they have a a young player they can promote to the first team squad.

5.) 28 Feb 2017 11:48:41
Good luck to him. Nice guy, and Hibs possibly better suited to his current level of ability etc. Will probably do a job for them. Given that's he is away in summer and needs to play to be seen i wish him the best of luck.

6.) 28 Feb 2017 12:28:06
its hibs that need all the luck with him playing for them lol.

7.) 28 Feb 2017 18:41:51
Celtic need plenty of luck with fans like you . The abuse that Efe got from the fans on forums and loud mouths from stands must have affected his confidence . Surely a player lacking in confidence is likely to make more mistakes rather than less .
How can a Celtic fan claim to be a supporter when instead of encouraging all Celtic players they do their damnest to erode the confidence of players they take a dislike to.

8.) 28 Feb 2017 19:34:50
the guy is just shite get over it, its clowns like that that have held us back in recent years its time to spend money to put us back where we belong in europe, you'll be saying next that biggins muggleton cascarino miku etc etc didn't make it at celtic because they were berated by fans, no it wasnt it was just that they were crap.

9.) 28 Feb 2017 21:42:59
Old boy I think you used the same argument to defend Ronnie. Think changing to Brendon was a better move. Fee is not a bad player but obviously BR does not see value in him. Your opinion or my opinion won't alter that. I think he will do well at Hibs and good luck to him.

10.) 28 Feb 2017 23:24:23
I thought that when Efe, first came he looked a really good player, then he went to the Africa cup, and when he came back Neil Lennon, more or less through him, travel tired and all straight into a European game, Efe had just came down from the plane and there was a taxi waiting to take him straight to the game, (ok, that's an exaggeration, he had to go through passport control first) , (ok, that was a joke) , but the point was he played that night, and he should never have, the mistakes he made in that game ruined his confidence, and sealed his fate with some of the Celtic support, Neil Lennon's is probably doing a 'my name is earl's, cos he had a huge part to play I. Efes downward spiral.

11.) 01 Mar 2017 00:10:52
Probably the first time ever but i agree with aindoh it was scandalous how efe was treated by lennon and commons and a large selection of our support which destroyed his confidence good luck to him.

{Ed007's Note - The same fans that booed Johansen our POTY off the park while trolling the internet screaming that Scott Allan should be playing.... I'd have Efe playing at CB or CDM before Mulgrew who was let away with murder by the support every time he played.
Johansen would be running amok for us in the No.10/ CAM position under Rodgers and with Rogic still struggling for fitness.}

12.) 01 Mar 2017 13:53:43
Ed, Armstrong is a better player than SJ.

{Ed007's Note - Armstrong doesn't play as a CAM though. And Johansen would have been a better player than Bitton. Having a midfield 3 of Brown, Johansen, Armstrong would be better than having Bitton in there as has been happening the past couple of matches when we've played more a 4-3-3. Then when we do play 4-2-3-1 Brown and Armstrong are the two anchors and Johansen would have been in the CAM of the 3 seeing as Rogic is out injured again.}

13.) 01 Mar 2017 18:22:11
i liked johansen he had that bit of nastiness that's needed in the midfield battles.

14.) 01 Mar 2017 19:34:01
No he doesn't ed but he is BR 1st choice in that position when Rogic injured.
SJ for me didn't score enough to play that position (a discussion I had with a few here with the Commons v SJ debate. ) SJ also had the silly habit of making rash challenges and getting booked needlessly.
Armstrong is much more reliable.
I really believe it will be Brown, Armstrong, Eboue. 2 from 3 and BR will buy a No 10.

{Ed007's Note - When has Armstrong played in Rogic's position, in the middle of the attacking 3? People seem to say that yet it's simply not true, Stuart Armstrong is not a CAM and without Rogic we've mostly been playing in a 4-3-3.}

15.) 01 Mar 2017 22:32:55
He hasn't ed its a slightly different role tho same as SJ who didn't play it either.
Both play similar but its Armstrong for me all day long.

{Ed007's Note - So where did Johansen play in Ronny Deila's 4-2-3-1? You're comparing players that play in different positions, Armstrong is nothing to do with it and I've explained why - this is up there with people that want to play Tierney at LW.
I really can't see the point you're trying to make.
Celtic playing 4-2-3-1 with Brown and Armstrong as the 2, with Johansen playing as CAM role COULD have potentially been better than having to play 4-3-3 with Bitton in beside Brown and Armstrong. I think Johansen's energy could have been useful and I think Rodgers would have got him back to playing the way he was in his first year and if he did he wouldn't have been any threat to Armstrong's position in the team, Armstrong's competition comes from Bitton, Johansen would have been competing with Rogic for a starting spot.}

16.) 01 Mar 2017 23:42:53
Point is simple ed, SA or SJ its SA for me all day long.
SJ didn't play CAM all that often it was a makeshift postion for him just like it is for SA.
SJ for me is a DM player like he is for his country.

{Ed007's Note - This is just pointless, try actually watching games.}

17.) 02 Mar 2017 07:47:50
Completely agree. SJ would have flourished in this team. He would be scoring goals and we wouldn't need to sign another no.10. As ed said SA ain't a 10 so can't compare. Efe was different class until that juve game, guy tried to dribble with the ball and play the celtic way, shame he made mistakes. No matter what the guys always got a smile on his face and he loves celtic.

18.) 02 Mar 2017 10:32:52
Its too easy to say he would have done this or that, the fact is he didn't.
He was never a goalscorer and people are forgetting the sitters he missed.

16 Feb 2017 13:12:35
ciftci in poland for a medical, loan move.

1.) 16 Feb 2017 14:31:39
a bit light up top now ed if griffiths or moussa get injured again. i know griffiths is in the squad for the weekend, can you see commons making the bench for the run in with ciftci gone (assuming commons can shrug off his back injury) or do you think rodgers will prefer young aitchison?

{Ed007's Note - LG isn't in the squad and Ciftci flew out to Poland this morning, God knows who's going to be on the bench - I'll be amazed if Commons would be involved as that would be some backtrack by Rodgers - but fingers crossed Dembele doesn't pick up a knock or anything worse during the game.
Without starting a fight with anyone, Rdogers could fancy one of the the youngsters we've never thought of playing in position so we might will see a surprise on the bench.}

2.) 16 Feb 2017 15:24:18
We've already seen that he'd rather go no out and out striker than play ciftci so I don't think he is a big lose.
The young lad that scored last season and won the penalty this year will most likely be on the bench?

3.) 16 Feb 2017 16:13:54
or desmond might have been in rodgers ear saying "i don't care if he shagged your mate gerrard's wife we're paying commons 18k a week get him in the squad don't take any chances up front we're going for the treble" lol.

{Ed007's Note - So Desmond's interfering with team affairs and dictating who plays? I can't see Rodgers standing for any of that nonsense.}

4.) 16 Feb 2017 16:31:50
big dermot pays 45k a week to rodgers ed so i think he would have a say on every matter, though not picking the team, my point was he may have suggested to rodgers seeing we're paying the bugger put him in the squad, if we're light lol.

{Ed007's Note - Celtic pays Rodgers wages.}

5.) 16 Feb 2017 16:58:17
in saying that ed desmond probably pays more than that a week berthing his yacht lol.

6.) 16 Feb 2017 19:23:19
If ciftci gets this move we are indeed down to the marrow. Give the skelper 60 mins for his hat tricks and throw rogic, lg, Armstrong and paddy in oxygen chambers to speed them back. Would we qualify for an emergency loan now haha? Pl should be right on the phone to Real (zaragoza) inquiring about a fringe player emergency loan for thier pacey winger/ cf eh ed? 😅.

7.) 16 Feb 2017 19:37:51
Why are people still going on about that waste of space never has been commons.

8.) 16 Feb 2017 22:31:09
because we are down to the bare bones up front and he's sitting there on 18k a week doing nothing, get him off his arse to help the cause, say what you like about him, he knows where the goal is.

9.) 17 Feb 2017 08:46:47
I'd rather give aitchinson his chance than have him in the squad.

10.) 17 Feb 2017 20:05:49
Sooner we see the last of that clown the better.

21 Feb 2017 18:57:54
will this hotel and museum nonsense take cash away from the most important part of celtic buying decent quality players to take the club forward?

1.) 21 Feb 2017 20:31:38
You make a fair point regarding funding for both this project and the investment in the team. Early days yet but I would suspect both requirements have been considered and funded appropriately.

2.) 21 Feb 2017 20:39:49
Would think in the long run it will bring money to the club and team.

3.) 21 Feb 2017 20:53:40
Speculate to accumulate.

18 Feb 2017 13:42:04
just read about jim brogan and his sad battle with dementia there, its really sad i remember jim playing for celtic when i was at primary school.

1.) 18 Feb 2017 14:09:10
Aye, he was a real stalwart post-lions at left half and left back and a great servant to the club. 'Brogies gonnae get ye' was a popular anthem reflecting his tough tackling, battling qualities on the park. However like so many of that generation - a real gent at supporters rallies etc.

18 Feb 2017 11:14:06
wim jansen a guest of celtic at the game today.

14 Feb 2017 19:31:36

3.) 14 Feb 2017 21:14:53
4-0 now.

4.) 14 Feb 2017 23:32:58
Theres a way to play barcelona, and its not to sit back and admire how the best players and the best team in the world play, (because, they are not, but if yu sit of them, they might look like it) , hopefully the next time celtic play them, they will get stuck into them, (whay youmean and get beat seven nil,!, exactly) .

5.) 17 Feb 2017 11:08:29
There is a way, it's also handy having a team valued at £400m +.

the boy will need to get up to the speed of frantic scottish football, after the league is won he will probably get a run of games from the start to give him experience of the league, and probably the more promising youngsters will get a run out too, the hard work is done in the league now, hopefully the sharpness will return for the semi then the final.
