Was talking to my mate who stays in Manchester, he said the McTominay to Celtic rumours are hotting up down there too.

1.) 25 Jun 2018 00:45:28
We just don't need him imo.

2.) 25 Jun 2018 01:33:56
I'm with you partly on that shug. Added to that the sources are questionable. IF he was to sign there would probably be an appearance clause, maybe? It wouldn't do the dressing room any favours but that's football . We have plenty of lads going for the cm slots. If we do bring someone in for cm he has to be exceptional or worth it financially with a resale.

As a swap for SA there's no harm but SA barely featured last season. We need mfs that can carry the ball. We missed that dimention last season imo with Roberts and SA out the picture . Its an option we didn't have and in many games we were stagnant. If given the choice of having a loan or buying I'd opt for the latter. To be kind to contracted players is standing still. If any player comes in and cuts the mustard then that what has to happen. We have a cracking domestic squad but we will need to put a few noses out of joint and be ruthless if we want to move up a level.

3.) 25 Jun 2018 09:02:54
I really like McTominay. A loan deal without an option to buy though wouldn't make a huge deal of sense to me. Unless, there is a possibility to sign McGinn for free next summer?

4.) 25 Jun 2018 10:57:15
No more loans mourinho rates him so there would be no option to buy just go and get mcginn simples.

5.) 25 Jun 2018 11:01:11
What questionable sources are they rglen? The scotsman? The bbc? The manchester evening news?

6.) 25 Jun 2018 12:18:17
He seems a decent player but why sign him on loan and potentially send out Kouassi who plays in the same position? Doesn't make sense.

7.) 25 Jun 2018 12:41:25
So it's your mate who stays in Manchester now makes a change from your usual rubbish about your mates on the coaching stuff or mates son that plays in the youth team. jamesbhoy you've never got a single prediction right in all the time I've been reading here

8.) 25 Jun 2018 16:50:03
I'm with bravetart on this. Would rather give Kouassi a shot. And who would we drop to fit him in.

9.) 25 Jun 2018 17:15:40
I don't necessarily see McTominay as a CDM either to be honest bhoys. Yes he plays deep for Man U. But so does all of Mourinho's midfield because their CBs are suspect and can't control large areas. You can see McTominay used to be an attacking player because he likes to carry the ball when he gets an opportunity. He's dynamic enough and has the skill set to be a box to box midfielder for me. We need another option at CM with Armstrong away. All my thinking was, is if McGinns agent is given an indication that we'd be interested next year, then getting McTominay on loan for a season could save us a few million. Plus McGinn would play every game for Hibs, he wouldn't for us.

10.) 25 Jun 2018 18:58:08
Jamesbhoy67-I read it early from some dark corner of the internet in a blog. At the time I searched everywhere and couldn't find it anywhere else. None of the papers or websites you mentioned had printed it at that time.

11.) 25 Jun 2018 19:37:31
Well spotted finny. James Bhoy talks absolute nonsense on this on a daily basis with his make believe pals.

18 Jun 2018 16:46:06
Dortmund sniffing about big Moussa.

1.) 18 Jun 2018 17:35:42
After this season, I think Moussa would do well to stay with us another year. Realise the club might want that to be dependent on signing an extension though. If him Ed and Griff are all here in September I will be a very happy Bhoy.

2.) 18 Jun 2018 17:43:38
U sure it wasn’t Morelos 🤔🤥.

3.) 18 Jun 2018 22:35:01
He was just starting to pick up last 6 games but think you also need to factor in we are in a strong position we are currently in to sell with 2 years left on contract atm. Keep another year and we are in same situation as Armstrong were he goes cut price as he can sign free contract in January. I'm not massively fussed with money but the more young stars we develop and sell for massive fee does give BR another example to use while in discussion with another top talent.

Perfect scenario would be to get him to sign up for another year or 2 then as you say sell next year. But tbf with Moussa, he enjoys it here. We know he'll be away at some point but he has waited for the right move and never made a fuss. Dortmund could potentially be the right move and if he does go does so respectfully and with my best wishes.

16 Jun 2018 15:51:45
Got a wee nod today that we are in talks with a centre half.

1.) 16 Jun 2018 16:09:00
riddle me this, riddle me that.

2.) 16 Jun 2018 16:14:37
Any names or any more information jamesbhoy?

3.) 16 Jun 2018 16:38:32
His names Dedryck 😆.

4.) 16 Jun 2018 17:17:35
Hope he comes back from the WC stronger than ever Stan.

5.) 16 Jun 2018 17:51:51
Of course we are going to be in talks with a Centre calf. We need two so talking to one would be kinda normal.

6.) 17 Jun 2018 11:29:53
As usual i got it from coaching staff member.

7.) 17 Jun 2018 11:28:37
There's speculation MP and actual facts, i have been told by someone on the coaching staff who is a friend of my family, i have two family friends on the coaching staff.

8.) 17 Jun 2018 12:36:33
Good to see Jamesbhoy67 doesn't hide his light under a bushel. One thing I always thought a nod wasn't worth repeating, if the nod didn't say anything specific .
Are we going to live in a land of nods .

9.) 18 Jun 2018 00:58:56
I haven't even told you half of it Chris, nod nod, wink wink.

10.) 18 Jun 2018 07:37:07
Can you give us a name?

11.) 18 Jun 2018 16:37:24
Never got a name i was only told we are in talks with a centre half, and that the guys agent was being a pain in the arse with his demands.

14 Jun 2018 21:36:49
Jamie McCart away to Inverness on a two year deal.

1.) 14 Jun 2018 22:32:27
That’s another 4/ 5 players brought up by Celtic in the youth, taught how to be professional and sent on there way to decent Scottish clubs. Sadly not all make it at our club.

2.) 15 Jun 2018 08:00:21
Good player. Quite surprised by this maybe the boy wanted to play first team. Good luck to him.

3.) 15 Jun 2018 10:45:00
We produce players mostly for the wee diddy teams. It’s been a feature for years. Very, very few of our own young players establish themselves. I have the feeling this situation will continue as I haven’t seen anybody who is equipped to be in the team we want to be next year.

We can kid ourselves on, as many do year on year about this young guy or that one, the facts remain that apart from KT, it’s none since McGreggor and Forrest. I would wager at the end of this season, the only young guy who has a chance of that was bought from St Mirren.

4.) 15 Jun 2018 13:20:23
Mikey Johnston will be a wonderful player for Celtic.

5.) 15 Jun 2018 15:45:05
I will believe it when I see it Stan. Too many false dawns. mickey looks too fragile to me. He has technical ability but his stature isn’t strong enough.

Jury is out for me.

6.) 16 Jun 2018 19:45:58
How much do we spend on our youth set-up? £2m per annum maybe?
Since Tommy Burns set it up properly - 18 years ago - we’ve had 12 player in the first team squad:

So that equates to an average of 1 player every 1.5 years - at an estimated average cost of £3m per player - not a bad return, especially when you think we got the guts of £10mil for McGeady and would get £20mil+ for Tierney, so we’d make our money back if we needed to.

Of course, we do produce a lot of players for other SPL sides, but that’s part of the selling point isn’t it? When trying to persuade a parent that Celtic is the best place for their talented kid, the club sell the “good grounding” leading to either breaking into the squad (like those above) or finding a good level club to take them on., and the potential of being a Jackson Irvine - didn’t quite make it with us, went to Ross County then the English Championship (for a decent wedge) and today is playing in the World Cup.

Big Erik away on a permanent deal.

dundee united in for aitchison on loan.

1.) 30 May 2018 08:24:41
For some reason i don't think BR has seen it in him. Could have been in lots of games last season but Johnson and Henderson seem to be more advanced now.

2.) 30 May 2018 09:08:53
Think this would be a good move as the lad needs game time.

I'm not sure that Rodgers does not fancy him.

What we need to remember is Rodgers is trying to keep Dembele, Edouard and Griffiths happy, which is the priority as Aitcheson is not better than any of them at the moment. That is not to say he won't develop into a good player for us.

27 Mar 2018 20:27:42
leigh griffiths has just tweeted he is going to have his testimonial in lourdes against progres niederkom on st patricks day, lol.

1.) 27 Mar 2018 20:39:13
Couldn't with of abetter venue, fantastic date, as for the opposition not agood measure their a bit below us maybe sevco would give them a game this time.

2.) 27 Mar 2018 20:45:10
It's a parody account mate.

3.) 27 Mar 2018 22:07:06
It's not griffs account it's a fake one.

4.) 27 Mar 2018 22:12:23
aye but it was funny.

25 Mar 2018 13:21:57
the latest rumour is this international break nonsene has halted my hunskelping, roll on the next few weeks.

16 Feb 2018 18:51:06
thats the way we should play all the time with the traditional high tempo celtic way, instead of that boring tippy tappy 95 passes across the back four.

31 Jan 2018 17:30:33
i know we have enough in the tank to win the domestic treble but im uderwhelmed at the signings, a back up keeper and a back up centre half, where is this quality rodgers promised us for europe? i know we signed musonda but i can't see him starting away in europe.

1.) 31 Jan 2018 18:07:31
The window isn't shut yet. I'm
Also hoping for a RB and CB and I hope it's a better one than Hendry for the game against Zenit. Here's hoping.

2.) 31 Jan 2018 18:23:54
Magicpole no chance of anyone more apart from back up centre half.

3.) 31 Jan 2018 18:40:23
It was very unlikely we would get that kind of quality in a January window when our priority seemed to be holding onto our best players; however, I do agree that we will need to act pretty sharply in the summer (probably when we have more cash) to improve our CL squad.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 21:04:11
Why would we have more cash in the summer? Maybe better players were not available but not a bad window with 2 decent players to add to the squad.

5.) 31 Jan 2018 21:52:59
I know Johnny.

there's no way lawwell wouldn't take a 6 million profit on boyata, he would hire a private jet out of his own obscene salary to get boyata to rome.
