With gms and Armstrong been key signings from anothr Scottish team who else in the Scottish leagues does everyone think would make a good signing once we get rid of all the deadwood.I think Christie from caley thistle Rooney from Aberdeen and at a push Wilson from heart's but they we only be squad players imo

gordybhoy87

1.) 25 Apr 2015 10:25:29
Ut is at a push gordy for me. But from the SPFL I'd say Ryan Jack but we have Henderson. I know he's off to Aberdeen but G.Shinnie has been great this season, particularly against us.

2.) 25 Apr 2015 11:10:49
Rooney would go missing in our squad! Christie has potential but I'd like mcginn for back up for Scott brown I think he could develop well with our coaching staff!

3.) 25 Apr 2015 22:14:42
Develop what we have and if we can sign young players of a higher standard than is in the SPL

Fellow hoops I urge yous to cut rd some slack yesterday we had 27 (I think) shots on goal 10 on target there keeper making brilliant saves fair enough we should be hammering team's week in week out but you just need to look at man United's problems we are going through the same transition difference is they have spent big money on world class players but there's something missing for both we look a much better team with Scott Brown in it we need more leader type of players that give 100% every game

gordybhoy87

1.) I think that Tonev, Guidetti, etc should be brought off the bench for the las 30 minutes or so rather than start matches at the moment.
By doing this they will be up against tiring players, so would have a better chance of making an impact, which in turn would boost their confidence.
The have been out injured for quite a while, and don't really look fit enough to be starting matches right now.

2.) He has to go now there already is a long and growing list of mistakes he is totally out of his depth if Delia and Collins remain in their jobs we will be a lot more than 5 points behind come Christmas.

Although i'm far from happy from performances of this current Celtic team apart from Craig gordon, denya, McGregor and somewhat commons we seem to have the exact same problems as man United although they have brought in world class for there manager and players new systems new techniques new life styles but needs time i'm all for this new change and wish everyone would get behind rd because what he says makes a lot of sence once his players are in and all the deadwood is out! we might see a better product saying that who would want Ambrose, kayal, izzy, stokes, mulgrew if they 5 go tomorrow I'll be one happy bhoy but can we replace them

gordybhoy87

1.) Getting rid of the list of players may be the easiest part but bringing in new that play better would be a lot harder .
Deila's formation is wide open for managers to counter . Full backs left without cover are easy targets to be beaten . United have spent big but also have got worse £60m for a player who neither made a tackle or hit a shot doesn't look as he will set the heather alight .

how about this for a pole ed are you impressed the way rd goes about his buisness?i for 1 i'm very happy the set up of the team, givin youth a chance just the way he talks about us CELTIC, attackin style of play, pukki turnaround the list goes on ano its only been 2 cl qualifiers and might be getting ahead of myself but is refreshing none the less

gordybhoy87

{Ed007's Note - I've left the poll for Ed001 to use in the Poll of the Day, Gordy. I've been really impressed with Deila so far, since the first time I heard him speak I said he showed more positivity in that interview than NL had in the last two years - at least, his entire demeanour is night and day with NL.
The way things are looking, and when you hear Deila speaking, any player who spends any length of time under RD is going to improve, and if they don't it's the player's own fault, he's offering every player every chance they need to succeed, coaching, fitness, conditioning, nutrition etc. That's the difference in having a coaching orientated manager compared to a more traditional Scottish (even British?) style. Deila is more like your Arsene Wenger/AVB type of manager, the articulate, thoughtful, meticulous type with an almost scientific approach compared to an Alex Ferguson/Neil Lennon type, whose tactical know-how wasn't their strong point.
LVG has went into Man Utd's training complex at Carrington and changed the surfaces on the training pitches to be the same as at OT, installed proper floodlights to allow training at night, fitted specialist sleep pods, for the players to rest in. He's even looking into ways to block the wind so that it has the feel of playing in a stadium! AF would never have came up with any of that.
Under NL we ended up back training at Barrowfield because of problems at Lennoxtown - can you imagine Deila doing that?
If Pedro gives Deila his backing, and not just in the transfer market, we could end up with strong foundations that will serve the club well for years to come.}

1.) That kind of reminds me a bit of my AFL team Essendon and their new traning facilities. Everything being state of the art which you would expect, but they have two different ovals to train on that are identical in size and shape to the MCG and Etihad Stadium, as they play on these ovals most often, it gets the players used to the angles and dimensions. Any advantage is a good advantage.

{Ed007's Note - It's definitely the way forward MB, clubs are starting to realise the value of raising their own players rather than buying all the time, even Man City have heavily invested behind the scenes because they want to produce their own players in the longer term. The clubs's who were famous for producing players, your Man Utds and Liverpool's have seriously dropped the ball in recent years and gave way to clubs like Southampton who have a fantastic set-up. Crewe is another club that has consistently produced top players over the years and warrants a mention anytime youth set-ups and coaching is mentioned. For the amount of time NL spent watching and studying Crewe he never really implemented anything he learnt, if he did actually learn anything.}

2.) I'm with this all the way. The man seems to have the right attitude and ideas but will need the board backing. This is their chance to prove they mean business and are in it for the long stretch.

3.) How will trying to sort out Mother Nature (the wind) make better players? It's an outdoor winter sport in this part of the world.

What about the away teams you have to visit who don't have stadiums that 'help' with the weather?

Bring back the boot room and running about down the beach :-)

4.) 24 Jul 2014 08:32:58
Brilliant as always ed

{Ed007's Note - Cheers Gordy.}

5.) @Mrs E I think I would rather go with the opinion of an internationally renown manager (LVG) than the opinion of someone who greets on this page and accuses individuals of having multiple logins, all because that person has a different view.

@Ed I've always been a great believer in the view that having a good off the field set up is priceless. Its all good having multi-million pound superstars in a team, but if the right tools are not there to help them gel/develop its pointless.

{Ed007's Note - The wind blowing across open spaces like training pitches is different from the wind blowing around an enclosed space like a stadium.}

6.) How long do you think it will be until we can stop putting in wee digs about Neil Lennon . I am very impressed with Deila, but wait a while he hasn't won anything yet . Hopefully with everyone's help he will become our most successful manager since Jock Stein .

{Ed007's Note - Nobody's forcing you to read it.}

7.) I can just see the conversation the now: AF "hi Louis I have won 4 european trophies, how many have you won?" "Eh well . none but I have changed the grass and altered the wind at the training ground".AF "eh well done Louis, how long is his contract again Boss"?

{Ed007's Note - I think you're getting a bit confused with your Louises there.}

8.) Ah come on Ed007, surely its good that people read all comments . I always look forward to your comments as they are usually precise and accurate .

{Ed007's Note - I know they're precise and accurate, I write them ;)

9.) It's a banter page and differences of opinion are healthy. What a boring place it would be if we agreed all the time. Truth, fibs, ridicule, honest, sincerity and when it gets down to it, genuine sorrow across all divides. I feel sorry for the poor referees (Eds). sometimes lol. hail Hail

10.) RD is looking to hire from the Timmaloy franchise. He has earmarked 6 big bruisers from the Calton tae staun at the the training ground and give the players pelters with such terms as "ye cannae see the goals wi yer heid up Yir ers@, " "The milk in am fridge turns faster than you, " " brilliant step-over, noo try it wi the ba at Yir feet."

Loans can work out better would have been better if screpovic was brought In that way rather than spend what we did in the past thete have been plenty to be bought and flop big time balde.pukki.the tampon so the board are doing what's best in the long run.the loans we did make agreed only 2 worked out but i'm glad JG is only a loan.are you not glad we never signed wakkaso or tonev can't even think who the 5th loan was.I don't know what's the problem with our own youth players once they get in to the first team have a few good games they have a few bad and become terrible apparently just look at Forrest and McGregor
