Right important stuff now. Rumour is that Odds on will be signed up, fee 4.5m rising to 5.5 with add ons. Wont believe it till i hear from you ED!

formerlygreenjhedi

{Ed007's Note - I don't know if anything's agreed but we have spoke to PSG about Edouard in the last couple of days, I thought they might be extending the loan.}

1.) 04 May 2018 07:04:37
At that price it would be a bargain considering the cash we spent a few seasons back on utter dross. Edouard loves it at CP, playing well, potential to be even better, and a real bond with his team mates. It's a no brainer. To go into next season with Edouard, Dembele, Griffiths and Aitchison would be fantastic. You just have to look at how we played against Hearts at CP it does not always have to be one striker so we can keep them all happy, competition for places is healthy. Let's hope we get this deal done asap so we can spend the summer looking at other areas. Be great to get our business done early.

2.) 04 May 2018 07:35:09
Thanks ED. maybe PSG are not too happy about extending? Who knows but this boy has something. maube develop into a better version of Moussa. That would be nice.

{Ed007's Note - PSG are happy enough to loan Edouard to Vitoria de Guimaraes next season so they would probably be happy for him to stay on loan here and next summer he'll only have a year left on his PSG deal.}

3.) 04 May 2018 12:09:08
I thought we had a loan to buy option on the bhoy.

4.) 04 May 2018 12:38:54
I see the lad Thomas Isherwood is going in trial to the huns. We read we were looking at him or was that just paper talk?

{Ed007's Note - It was probably when the press linked us with him he ended up on Mark Allen's radar.}

5.) 04 May 2018 13:32:44
Shame would have been nice to see him on trail with us.

6.) 04 May 2018 16:05:41
Ed i understood we had an option ti buy Edouard for 7mill or was that speculation? BR said earlier that we could sign him if we wanted to at end of season or have I been on the cider too often?

{Ed007's Note - There is an option to buy but it's not £7 million and it doesn't mean Celtic can't ask to extend the loan and the option.}

7.) 04 May 2018 18:45:48
EDs what's your thoughts on next years transfer window I think definitely defence needs sorted but after that reaction to who goes will be looked at.

{Ed007's Note - Next year - as in 2019? I have no idea mate.}

8.) 04 May 2018 21:09:19
🤣 older and wiser ED!

Happy birthday mate

HH

Chris1888🍀🍀🍀.

9.) 05 May 2018 11:58:49
My birthday today as well Ed, 38 today 🤦‍♂️ Will be enjoying my day with the wife and a few friends 🍷

Thought on nitcham? Some player in my eyes, was it his pass against Rosenberg that had me dripping? He’s come come on leaps and bounds and in my eyes is loving the club as paddy does and think will go for mega money in a few years and good luck to him 🙌

Looking forward to next season and hope comper gets some time watched him a few times and he looked decent in the bundesligue, apologies for spelling I’m on the wine already 🤪.

{Ed007's Note - Happy birthday mate, have a great day. I love big Ntcham, I said the first time I seen him that he was a cracking player and he just seemed to get better as the season went on, he has got everything in his locker to be a star for us and no doubt he'll go on to play at a higher level giving us a tidy profit on our outlay.
Compper is a different matter, he never stood out to me in Germany and I think he's far too slow, there's some murmurs that he could be heading back to Germany this summer.}

10.) 05 May 2018 13:20:02
What's the talk about Musonda is he just no cutting the mustard ED?

{Ed007's Note - What talk about Musonda are you talking about? What he does with condiments isn't something I'd be interested in.}

11.) 05 May 2018 14:18:30
Very funny but all this talk about him maybe going back to Chelsea. Has there been a bust up of words between Rodgers and Musonda or is Musonda just not fitting into the team?

{Ed007's Note - No.}

12.) 05 May 2018 14:25:05
Too much Fanta yesterday ed? U been on an ed night out with timalloy? As poor a joke as I've seen on here never mind from u. By the way has anyone seen the video of Gerrard meeting the kit man? I'll try n post it now but a can almost say for sure it won't work.

{Ed007's Note - You know the old saying - ask a stupid question (or one that's been answered umpteen times) get a sarky answer :)
Just cut n paste the URL of the video - without the http// part - and I'll sort it out.}

13.) 05 May 2018 16:14:00

14.) 05 May 2018 18:33:58
Right cheery guy not. Looks like he's thinking av made a right arse of this.

James Mclean? Rumour doing the rounds that he is a target. No doubt the boy would walk here in his bare feet, but for his own sake stay away son.

I realise the boy would not flinch, balls of steel that young man, but his and his family would be under enormous pressure. Why? I think we all know the 'greatest wee country in the world' is still riddled with anti Irish dissenters that's why. And if you think he would not be targeted by plenty then i admire your optimism.

formerlygreenjhedi

1.) 03 Apr 2018 11:03:20
I can't see him being a target.
Look at the amount of attacking minded mids we are going to have on our books by the end on the season.
Rogic
Armstrong
McGregor
Young Charlie fae Chelsea
Hayes
Sinclaire
Forrest
Christie
Morgan
Benyu
And every Celtic fan wants to see Roberts signed up permanently tae.

2.) 03 Apr 2018 11:22:05
Why give in to the hating cretins get him up to CP.

3.) 03 Apr 2018 12:07:22
it's not giving in Stan, more common sense. Would run till he bled for us but too much off field stuff for him and a young family.

4.) 03 Apr 2018 13:34:39
We can't allow the bigoted cretins to dictate who we can/ can't sign mate. If it winds that lot up so much that they are crying into their coco pops that is a bonus. I'd have 11 Macleans. Sometimes a club is as good a fit for the player as the player is for the club and players like Maclean would thrive at CP.

05 Mar 2018 16:40:50
@ED. Rumour is Boyata might sneak it? The left side is going to need a worker to back KT could big Odds On be disciplined enough? Sinclair does track back to be fair to him.

As i said earlier it will be interesting to see who BR feels is up to it. Maybe shock murty with two big men, both good at taking it in, up high?

Gamboa? Very quick but careless, but you know BR and his squad! Tried four teams and still can't get one to sit!

formerlygreenjhedi

1.) 05 Mar 2018 21:06:09
I think we really need to put on a show, Murty has a decent record against us.

An early goal is a must for me and then we can pick them off all day long.

2.) 05 Mar 2018 21:39:17
I would like to see gamboa get a run in the team he's quick poweful and can get up and down, he will never be up to speed with our game if he doesn't get a run, failing that punt him cause its a complete waste of wages.

3.) 06 Mar 2018 10:39:12
@KevT, minky (murty) has a decent record against us? 2 draws? Jus sayin

HH

Chris1888🍀🍀🍀.

4.) 06 Mar 2018 11:40:26
Gamboa is torture can't defend has pace but very poor defensively.

5.) 06 Mar 2018 20:00:32
2 draws with teams that are Shoite is a good record Chris

Is it not?

Just saying! But that makes his record read as unbeaten in old firm games.

6.) 07 Mar 2018 10:19:08
What i'm trying to say is, there's a few bhoys on here and online giving this blue mob too much praise and talking like we have already lost the game! Come on who cares if they have won 5 games in a row! Those bitches are acting like world beaters. wasn't so long ago (last year) we were winning all the time and those from the dark side were slating us cos the league is piss poor, but now they've won a few games they're invincible. 😂😂 roll on Sunday btw!

Any heads up on this story on CQN re what looks like proof of bunging. The dunfermilne lie down game seems to be hinted at.

formerlygreenjhedi

1.) 08 Aug 2017 07:24:22
Got sent the link this morning GJ but even if true the smsm would still tell us it was won fair and square on the park.

2.) 08 Aug 2017 08:04:19
They're no going to wriggle out this time. Is there no lows they won't steep to?

3.) 08 Aug 2017 08:38:46
this would open up an entirely diff can of worms lads imo.

4.) 08 Aug 2017 08:53:17
Anyone got a link?

5.) 08 Aug 2017 09:02:30
I heard it was not rangers playing it was barcelona players wearing masks an disguised as gers players too.

6.) 08 Aug 2017 11:34:06
Dontbuild your hopes up it'll just be another crime tbe beaks sweep under the carpet.

7.) 08 Aug 2017 15:59:17
I guess Big Chris was right all along.

8.) 09 Aug 2017 13:50:26
the clue was the dunfermline manager at the time having a rangers themed room in his house which was photgraghed by estate agents and has since been shown in newspapers.

Excellent shout out fro well respected french footie dude Philipe Auclair. Praising Odds On and Olly for choosing Celtic and playing 'real football'.

Questioned, respectfully i might add, by a french fan what real football, is he claimed real clubs need the connect with the fans and can't be to close to the corporate identity. Nice to see us being talked of so well over there. Going over to see friends in a week or so looking forward to seeing the reaction from PSG fans.

formerlygreenjhedi

1.) 30 Apr 2018 09:44:24
Olly is incredible and we have Edouard saying last night he loves the club and wants to stay. Build our team around these 2 stars. All you want from any player is to fall in love with our great club. Anyone who does not want to be at Celtic let them go they will find out like many before them the grass isn't always greener. Broonie is a fine example to all our young players what kind of career they can have at CP.

2.) 30 Apr 2018 10:10:09
I think it's great edourad saying he wants to stay, by the looks of it he's completely bought into everything celtic which is great to see, so he will go that extra mile for us.

3.) 30 Apr 2018 10:21:29
Me too Steve really hope we can get a deal done for him. He already looks like he can have a huge future in the game if we can be the club to get him tied down for a few years great. Also love how he has never complained about not gettig game time he has been the exact opposite. I think most players are enjoying working and developing under BR.

4.) 30 Apr 2018 11:02:15
I agree Bhoys. Ntcham looks to have the lot and should only get better. Would I be sticking my neck out by saying that Edouard's overall game makes him a better prospect than Dembele?

5.) 30 Apr 2018 11:31:27
Jim if Dembele does decide to go and we get big bucks for him i would be more than happy with Edouard and Griffiths with Aitchinson the 3rd striker, although i would rather see him out on loan next season as i just don't think playing against the same kids year after year is development at his age.

6.) 30 Apr 2018 13:45:03
Ideally, Stan I'd like MD, OE and LG all here next season in some capacity. But given what's been said on here I can't see it. If we don't trigger a permanent deal for Edouard then he could be off to Portugal. Would we buy him without selling Dembele? Can't see it myself. Like you, I'd be happy with Edouard. However I feel we might need two players, for Europe anyway, that are focal points like Dembele and Edouarde.

7.) 30 Apr 2018 15:10:16
No swaps no deal, buy the boy he a goal scorer and with a 5 year contract.

8.) 30 Apr 2018 18:16:33
Bhoys, look at the team. Hendry 20 yrs old. Ajar 19. Tierney 20. N’tcham 22. Edouard 20. Forrest 23. Then we have Ralston, 18. Aitchison 17. There are 8 quality players who all have the potential to be great. Then we have Koussai Mousonda who I believe will come good. Then add in Brown, Griffiths, and we have a very young team that will improve, so if we can add some new faces we should be on for 8 in a row.

9.) 30 Apr 2018 19:28:39
Not so long ago certain posters on here were discounting wee EO and stating not good enough even though he hardly started and even though when he did his goal ratio was excellent. I am just enjoying the "told you so" and that he is beginning to change a lot of peoples opinion.

10.) 30 Apr 2018 20:26:42
Kwaj it wasn't that long ago (Mongengladbach) people were saying the same about McGregor. Look at him now one of our most important players. Infact i would go as far to say that bhoy is world class we are lucky to have him.

11.) 30 Apr 2018 23:13:44
Wait a moment did we not get from a good source that Dembele wants to get a new contract and he and Edouard signing plus Griffith's we really will be strong up front . The next few months may be completely different from the last few years. In the last few years we have had almost daily contributions marking out Dembele's pending departure . IT seems we can all sleep contentedly .

29 Apr 2018 17:50:38
In my fifty years as an active Celtic fan there have been enormous highs. I just about remember Lisbon, on the telly of course, and leeds at Hampden spring to mind. The recent 5-1 defeats administered to sevco and the Scottish Cup treble clinching win are also uppermost in my thoughts. There are so many, but today was a memorable triumph for so many reasons.

In the cup semi walkover we played well, maybe as well as we have ever played, it was that good. Unless your a press reporter, because sevco were bad, we were not good. This was utter garbage. Today proved one thing, the chase they welcomed so much is over. From minute one we were at it. They never had a chance.

Some special words for certain players. Boyata, jesus big man we need this every game, outstanding. Broony and Olly, pulled the sevco three all over the place and lost them with really clever reverse passes. Odds on, and some doubted this boy, Moussa's apprentice stood in for him. But the thunder from down under. Wow. Fittest and freshest i have seem him, just raw ability and feet like a ballet dancer. jamesy, at last. But every Celt stood up to be counted.

Sevco? All is well. An under eighteen coach with no managerial experience after that? But he's box office. Not really, as a player deffo, wonderful talent, but what a risk. Those papers tomorrow will make interesting reading, night shift for jabba methinks. What a beautiful day.

formerlygreenjhedi

29 Apr 2018 11:08:26
Bih Eboue on the bench. Given that BR always says he picks subs intending to use them that's interesting i think. Early running at them with big Odds on, space for Tommy Bhoy and Cal Mac in the hole.

By the way. Jamesy, go and rip halliday a new one, you really should mince him.

formerlygreenjhedi

29 Apr 2018 09:26:43
A hundred miles an hour start, players touch tight and no doubt some solid/ reckless challenges. But enough about sevco, because that's all they have.

Keep the ball and cut out the risky silly passes, and goalkeeper chips to the wing, and we will be fine. There is not one player who i honestly i would swap into our team from theirs. Remember Celts this is just another league game, with the added spice of a league title wrap up.

This team, and it's followers are scared. Scared of a real beating, by more than four clear goals. Something early to lift the place and they will not know what hit them. They have a defence who just will not cope if they go behind early.

Just play football the Glasgow Celtic way.

formerlygreenjhedi

1.) 29 Apr 2018 09:57:22
Exactly GJ. They should just be another league side. That's all they are. Yes there's the added spice of a league winner against Rangers but we've shown more often than not that this group can rise to that occasion. Do what we can do, and it's sure to be a memorable day.

2.) 29 Apr 2018 11:15:34
we just need to go and be professional, play to our potential and show our qualities and their frailties. If we go easy on them 2-0, if we open up 4-1. Job done.

28 Apr 2018 20:05:58
Listening to snyde in the car and almost had a crash. Some sevconian moaning about the fact that no one is talking up the Scottish game re Gerrard. Any question of inexperience or tactical nous is deemed a critique of our game.

This will be the same people who have been saying for years our game is crap, that's why we dominate! Oh, and we are running scared. Apparently.

Thanks ED. maybe PSG are not too happy about extending? Who knows but this boy has something. maube develop into a better version of Moussa. That would be nice.

formerlygreenjhedi

{Ed007's Note - PSG are happy enough to loan Edouard to Vitoria de Guimaraes next season so they would probably be happy for him to stay on loan here and next summer he'll only have a year left on his PSG deal.}

Never doubted he would face it up, as i say this boy has steel goolies, and with the support of his family it might be okay. Always nice to see a dream come true for a proper Celtic fan.

Of course the sad fact of this is the shocking neglect of our fan base in Ireland going back twenty-thirty years. Sheedy, Keane etc all Celtic fans who were let slip.

If, and it's a big if, we could be sure off field matters would be taken care of then yes. But can you guarantee it? he would be a tidy addition that's a cert. As i said earlier the boy would shed blood for us.

formerlygreenjhedi

{Ed007's Note - It's all water off a duck's back to McClean and his family, do you really think that the player would turn down a move to Celtic because of other people's bigotry? Only last month he said:

"It's always been a dream of mine. If I retire from football and never get to pull on the green-and-white jersey and run out at Celtic Park, it will be a massive regret for me. It’s a dream I have never shied away from expressing. If that dream did come true, which I hope it does, it would mean a lot to me and fingers crossed it can happen.}

Where are you on Mclean ED? I posted earlier no for me, for various reasons.

formerlygreenjhedi

{Ed007's Note - It's a no-brainer for me. McClean would be a step up from Jonny Hayes so there right away he'd improve us and give us a different option on the left. He's better defensively than Sinclair and will track back a lot more, he's a better tackler than Sinclair and has a better engine. A couple of seasons ago he was one of the fastest players in the EPL even beating the likes of Hazard some weeks with his top speeds during games. The fact he's a supporter is just a bonus, you know he'll go that extra mile for the Club.
If certain low-life scumbags have a problem with McClean signing for Celtic because of his politics then it's their problem, McClean and his family will just do what they normally do and ignore them and the Club will deal with any security requirements.}
