With hearts asking their players to take a 50 percent pay cut during the unplanned downtime I wouldn't be against us asking players/ higher earners too take a small paycut (10-15 percent) and the money being put into a fund for the non SPL clubs we should remember the origins of our club at times like this. Our wage bill is over £1million/ week according to our accounts. Teams like Raith are crowdfunding for 25k when we have individuals earning more per week. I don't think the government should have to bail them out when they've got many more deserving causes/ sectors. Tin hat on.

Perfectly sensible and noble idea.

2.) 18 Mar 2020 20:56:03
It’s all fine and well bailing out the other clubs and then the Spfl ask them to vote on the outcome of the league because they have no backbone. And we know what the result of the vote would be.

3.) 18 Mar 2020 22:06:48
It wouldn't be about "buying votes" tho. It's not inconceivable that the majority of teams will fold without some sort of stimulus. We can't play in a league by ourselves at the end of the day.

I'd rather we used the money to pay the staff who work in the shops stadium restaurant and such during this time whilst they're not able to go to work.

5.) 19 Mar 2020 08:45:49
Take care of our non footballing staff. Our money will dwindle very quickly.

6.) 19 Mar 2020 20:13:16
If some of the wee teams folded, like Forfar, Brechin, Arbroath and Montrose, they could resurrect as Mearns United, have a brand new ground central to them all and plenty of money in the bank. There are far too many small teams in Scotland.

I think it's likely the euros are going to get cancelled/ postponed as is the Scotland v Israel match. Think the league should be looking to fit 2/ 3 league games into that period to ensure the season gets finished and fans can attend while they still can.

I think the league will be stopped within he month if things don’t get any better. I’d be massively disappointed if we get awarded the title and don’t get to pump them on our own merit over a season. We need to try to make it mathematically impossible before that happens which starts by humping them at Ibrox. On another note the club don’t half know how to pull at our heart strings when selling season tickets. A cause, a culture and a calling introduced by TB. ‘They’re there and they’re always there’.

2.) 10 Mar 2020 22:19:59
If we don't win on Sunday and they have their game in hand, it will not be awarded or conceded this month. That's why it's imperative we get three points and follow it up on 21/ 03 at home to St Johnstone with the victory that will make it mathematically secure.
I am sure the appointment of the gruesome twosome to officiate at ibrox is to try and hamper this scenario.

3.) 11 Mar 2020 06:51:57
spot on JFB I felt so emotional reading the article for season ticket renewal. a cause a culture a calling.

4.) 11 Mar 2020 12:23:52
Surely just playing behind closed doors would be the solution at this point? I don't want to undermine what is a serious virus to certain people but it is a media field day at the minute and until the whole country is on lock down I don't see why two squads plus officials can meet up for a game of football.

Looking at the starting 11 for our 4 away league defeats and their is a glaring similarity in the sides. Need to be more pragmatic and less self indulgent with all the passing about for the sake of it at the back. Played hearts away (when the grass was too long to play football) and won easily. Bring in a target man, only rotate for home matches and bring back the hunger! Ralston won our first 50/ 50 today and he came on at half time doesn't matter how much better you are if you don't match the workrate first of all.

We seem too have gone quiet on the recruitment front since this deal has gone quiet as much as I don't want it too happen if it facilitates 4 of 5 first teamers coming in thenit has too happen 🙁.

These sort of managers get all the plaudits because they are basically the only English one's in the EPL Burnley (ha ha sky TV) have double Celtics wage bill play absolutely brutal football then get hailed as a Messiah for finishing 17th-10th please no. Aberdeen played better football than them.

Think they would get £10m plus quite easily he's been their best player and this is a league where waghorn Hanley and Murphy have gone for 5+. Pukki being mentioned for 15m it's nuts down there.

No one getting in the box to cross it too all waiting on a cutback. When did you last see Christie McGregor Ntcham Forrest Elyanoussi or even Brown run into the box with the intent of scoring a header. Not often enough!

It was like his early appearances he wants to drop off and get involved in the play rather than be the focal point. The problem is we already have 6/ 7 players dominating that area. Could do with a dembele/ Sutton type up there helping him out and occupying some defenders for him. Might score from a cross as well (that's not Julien from a corner)

We need more bodies in the box everyone waiting outside to shoot from distance. 5 centre midfielders in the starting lineup lots of possession but no penetration it was like watching a Rogers team rather than a Lennon one. We'd figured this out from January onwards but seem to have forgotten hopefully Ajeti will be the answer when he's fit.

They're struggling with the volume of matches at the moment so I wasn't that disappointed to see them go thru especially as the next round 1st leg is 3 days before we play them. I'd rather that than they have a free week leading up to that match. They're will be very few if any teams in the last 16 weaker than sevco.
