Paper talk this morning that Celtic in talks to sign big Fraser on a PERMANENT deal, this would be great news if true but I would imagine, even if Southampton lower their asking price we are still talking £6m and then hope the big guy will accept our wage structure probably highest we could offer would be £30k weekly.

1.) 29 Jun 2020 10:29:09
So we could end up wi Big Fraser at one end and Wee Frazer at the other if recent speculation is correct?

2.) 29 Jun 2020 15:51:22
Every football club in the world is strapped for cash at the moment, otherwise Ryan Fraser would have signed for a PL side
Southampton more than most need cash as the owners are desparate to sell.
We have a good enough squad to win the first two rounds of the CL and the games at the start of the SPL remember the old firm game is unlikely to be early.
Therefore we should hold out as long as possible for FF if he really wants to return permently.
The money we saved from the players released could have ammounted to £1 million whist with southampton paying FF wages until the beginning of Sept. could be nearly £650,000.

3.) 29 Jun 2020 17:13:02
I think we seriously need to start getting active in the transfer window. this season is a big one and we need really good quality to add to the squad especially now we have lost 3 at the back.

4.) 29 Jun 2020 17:16:14
Juve just spent 72 mill on Arthur.

5.) 29 Jun 2020 18:54:41
I would like to think celtic have sounded out Fraser and mo about joining before trying to sign them.

6.) 29 Jun 2020 19:45:53
Regarding juve/ Arthur, that's just a Dodge on the ffp for Barcelona n prob them. Barcelona sell Arthur for £72M ( the accounts will see that as income) but they buy pjanic (from juve) for £60M but the accounts will show that as spread across a good few season, which will then allow them to buy more this season and stay within FFP rules.

11 Jun 2020 14:42:10
ED007 apparently big Fraser was at Lennoxtown today, should we read anything into this, maybe another loan deal on the cards?

{Ed007's Note - His loan deal runs until the end of June and as he wouldn't have been allowed to travel south during the lockdown he's probably back to get his health/fitness checks done like the rest of the squad.}

1.) 12 Jun 2020 06:31:52
Does anyone know if Elyounoussi was there as well then? Surely hisbloan deal would also be end of June.

{Ed007's Note - Elyounoussi's loan ended on May 31st.}

2.) 12 Jun 2020 13:04:44
Cheers Ed, hopefully we can get him back. Before his injury he was unplayable.

{Ed007's Note - If he hadn't got injured I'm sure he would have been a contender for POTY, Buster. I was really excited that we had got him on loan and I'd be happy if we could get him on another loan or even better as part of any deal for Ntcham.}

3.) 12 Jun 2020 17:53:24
exactly the player we need takes us to another level the guy is class.

4.) 12 Jun 2020 19:45:22
I think he is class Ed. Hopefully something can be sorted.

I'd be sad to see Ntcham leave, he is a baller on his day.

If it was up to me I'd tell all key players they are going nowhere until the end of next season.

{Ed007's Note - Unless Ntcham has changed his mind he'll be looking to move this summer. He's also in the same contract situation as Edouard with two years to go on his present deal so if he stays on his transfer value will drop a lot over the next year.}

5.) 12 Jun 2020 23:32:53
What would u say would be a fair deal for forster and moi to come in and ntcham to go. I would swap ntcham for forster and take moi on loan for a year free of charge. Sound reasonable?

6.) 13 Jun 2020 09:28:39
Would be good to get done. Ntcham is worth far more than Forster in my opinion. Money wise anyway. We aren't a club who would swap a sellable asset for someone with no resale value. Maybe 8m plus forster on loan for Ntcham.

{Ed007's Note - I think £8 -£10 million + Forster on a permanent deal would be a better deal, if it was only a loan I'd looking for £12 - £15 million in cash.}

7.) 13 Jun 2020 17:47:00
Don't think we would get any more than 10m for ntcham in the current circumstances, he's a talented player yes but he looks as if his mind is elsewhere and will want to move on, and let's face it it's much harder to replace forster than it is to replace ntcham.

We might not get re sale value on forster that's granted, but with his ability and presence there's a very good chance he'll be a massive boost to get us back into the champions league which as a result will bring in the big bucks.

I've mentioned it previously on here that if finance allowed the best case scenario for us would be to get him on loan for another season and sign him permanently next year when he has a year left on his deal, he's got at least another good 5 years left in him.

{Ed007's Note - What current circumstances?}

8.) 13 Jun 2020 21:18:17
The circumstances of the current market, where finances are tight and players values won't be as high as they usually are. That's what I mean when I say we would be lucky to get any more than 10m for ntcham just now with 2 years left on his deal, do you honestly think southampton or anybody else for that matter will pay over that for someone who's been in and out of the team for us?

{Ed007's Note - Why are finances tight - what has has happened that will have any serious affect on the Pub League's finances that come from their TV money?}

9.) 14 Jun 2020 00:17:14
It's not just about Tv money though is it? There's a general misconception that TV money down south is the saving grace and as long as there's tv deals teams will funds to splash, if tv money is so secure and they make enough of it, why did liverpool recently opt out of paying timo werners release clause, why have man Utd and spurs taken out loans if they have this TV money to rely on?

I'm not an expert but the point I'm making as due to the effect of this C.V. and the millions lost due to gate receipts, teams are probably less likely to buy players and pay the money if it can't be justified, every single players value is likely to take a drop which is the point I'm trying to make in saying we will be lucky to get over 10m for ntcham, even though i do think he's worth more in this pub league.

28 Aug 2019 12:07:53
It was reported this morning (Wednesday) that Peter Lawwell was thinking of spending £20m, yes TWENTY MILLION POUNDS, on strengthening Celtic, but he retreated to his darkened bedroom and waited until the panic attack stopped.

04 Aug 2019 13:05:27
Do not know the source of this story, but apparently Lennon has said Tierney faces another 4-6 weeks on the sidelines. Anybody else heard this.

1.) 04 Aug 2019 13:50:24
Everyone haha.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 14:01:00
Aye Tim.

3.) 04 Aug 2019 16:04:30
Posted a few ago about this injury, I had it about 15 years ago, I said he won`t play to new year and I`ll stick to that, very slow recovery .

27 Jul 2019 17:41:25
On the Izziguirre rumours

Rumour I heard was lennon's "contingincy plan" was IF Tierney was still our player and Lennon wanted to give him extra time to recover, hence the 6 month offer.

Make of it what you will.

1.) 27 Jul 2019 19:28:46
Would Boli not be his cover? them Hayes and Miller.
I think we will bring in Izzy When KT leaves which would be a total joke.

2.) 27 Jul 2019 20:32:02
It’s now being reported that no such offer was made to Izzy and it was all nonsense.

3.) 27 Jul 2019 20:32:04
It’s already been rubbishd. We have not offered Izzy a contract.

4.) 27 Jul 2019 21:35:20
Beat you to it by 2 seconds Kev 😂.

5.) 27 Jul 2019 22:02:37
People need to stop wetting them selves over every story in the press. It happens every year surely everyone has learnt this by now.

{Ed007's Note - Learnt by now...... 😂😂😂😂😂

6.) 27 Jul 2019 22:32:24
Learnt by now? It gets worse with every trophy we win.

This is NOT a paid commercial

As the regulars on here know the girls bought me 2 Celtic face masks a while ago and I have been wearing them constant since then.
At the time I thought they were a tad expensive but I have to admit they are very good quality and give a double layer of protection, so much so the girls now have their own Celtic masks also (Mrs T refuses to wear them lol)
We wash them in hot water after every use and they are ready for use next morning.
Out of ten I would mark them about an 8 ( I am hard to please and never give a ten lol)

1.) 03 Sep 2020 11:19:03
It’s good you feel protected and that’s the main thing Tim.
I’m glad your masks passed their first wash test,
That’s more than can be said for the new Sevco away tops. 😂.

2.) 03 Sep 2020 11:19:48
Tim I don’t wear a mask during this plandemic mate lot of nonsounce.

3.) 03 Sep 2020 12:16:00
Aye like your spelling.

4.) 03 Sep 2020 12:53:19
Me bubs?

29 Aug 2020 11:05:02
Ha ha ED007 I see you had to do what I do all the time, ask the younger generation in family to keep you connected, may your laptop always be charged lol.

{Ed007's Note - She's a wee star lol.}

1.) 29 Aug 2020 12:53:49
Your family know the passion you have for this site after more than a decade.
We really appreciate the time and effort you put in to make it a success Ed.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks for that mate 👍 I'll need to come up with something for when she goes away.}

2.) 29 Aug 2020 17:45:19
Nice one ed007. Make sure you sign back out when giving her laptop back. 😃.

{Ed007's Note - One of the conditions of the loan was that I "better not be watching dirty films or talking to dirty women" 😂😂

3.) 30 Aug 2020 09:12:36
Bet that didn't work hh.

{Ed007's Note - At my age mate I'm not wasting a Viagra on watching porn 😁

As a Kinning Park bhoy it is sad to hear that the one remaining Tim pub in that area The Stanley Bar has closed as of Friday. My memories are of the supporters bus leaving from the Stanley and all us weans standing outside, coach driver would never let us onboard, waiting on the adults finishing their drinks before boarding the supporters bus. We were ALWAYS late getting into match.
Kinning Park was vibrant back then with the Gray Dunn's biscuit factory around the corner, my mum worked there and us kids got lashings of "broken biscuits" Across the street was St Margaret's school with it unique roof top playground, the school is long gone but the building was saved because it was a listed building.
Paisley Road West had lots of shops and there were tenements everywhere, all now long gone.
As people moved away and shops and tenements were pulled down the poor Stanley Bar could not survive.
But I have all my memories of a great neighborhood, filled with Tims in "enemy land" hail hail.

28 Aug 2020 16:35:01
Eddy Howe anyone?

1.) 28 Aug 2020 17:38:37
Not for me Tim. At Bournemouth he made lots of mistakes but got away with a lot of it because they were a small club in a big league. Up here the scrutiny is immense and I doubt he would last very long.
If Lennon were to leave then I think we need someone who can stand up to the pressure of having to win every match, it's no easy task.

2.) 28 Aug 2020 19:01:58
Totally left field. Would Tommy Wright not stabilize the team by getting rid of egos? His teams play decent football and he did well with St J. If NL goes would he not be seen as a caretaker option?

3.) 28 Aug 2020 19:16:03
The previous manager was as good as we could get and unfortunately taking all the negative factors of the job (Lawell over your shoulder, alleged player unrest, very little cash, location and standard of league and out of the CL early three years running) ;
we would struggle to get a big name that appeases the whole support.
I could even see us going backwards again for MON or WGS if we had to fill the position temporarily? Roy Keane's name would crop up a lot.

Yes with the hard game on Thursday and the physical effort team put, allied to orrible plastic surface, I would freshen it up a bit. McGregor looked tired on Thursday give him a rest and play Nitcham who was only on for last few minutes. Also Hamed put in a shift bring Bauer back and put Taylor at left back, he should be used to playing on plastic pitches. Up front, I would take no chances with French Eddy and play Bayo.

A big thank you for all the prayers and good wishes for my sister, horrible thing about all this is when she needs her family the most we are not allowed to visit her, Scottish Government has just re imposed a TWO WEEK ban on ALL visitors.
Those who do not wear masks and crowd out pubs, THIS is the consequence you are HURTING people in hospital.
End of rant I will be taking another break, hope you all stay healthy during this horrible C.V. God bless.

Is the Europa worth all the extra hassle playing Thursday/ Sunday, tired players and little cash.
Pedro will sell at least one player Ajer/ Nitcham maybe both to compensate, put all our efforts this season into domestic football only.

Correct ED007 we should have enough in tank to see off the Kilmarnocks of this world.
Yes the hot weather never helped, Killie do not water pitch against us so pitch very sticky and slows our passing game. Killie know this and use their pitch as a tactic against us, which Lennon should be able to overcome.
Also every time we go to Rugby Park Lennon makes big issue of their plastic pitch, which gives some of our players an excuse.
Having said all that it is only game 2 of a long season and our stronger squad will prevail come end of season. hail hail.
