It was reported this morning (Wednesday) that Peter Lawwell was thinking of spending £20m, yes TWENTY MILLION POUNDS, on strengthening Celtic, but he retreated to his darkened bedroom and waited until the panic attack stopped.

04 Aug 2019 13:05:27
Do not know the source of this story, but apparently Lennon has said Tierney faces another 4-6 weeks on the sidelines. Anybody else heard this.

1.) 04 Aug 2019 13:50:24
Everyone haha.

2.) 04 Aug 2019 14:01:00
Aye Tim.

3.) 04 Aug 2019 16:04:30
Posted a few ago about this injury, I had it about 15 years ago, I said he won`t play to new year and I`ll stick to that, very slow recovery .

27 Jul 2019 17:41:25
On the Izziguirre rumours

Rumour I heard was lennon's "contingincy plan" was IF Tierney was still our player and Lennon wanted to give him extra time to recover, hence the 6 month offer.

Make of it what you will.

1.) 27 Jul 2019 19:28:46
Would Boli not be his cover? them Hayes and Miller.
I think we will bring in Izzy When KT leaves which would be a total joke.

2.) 27 Jul 2019 20:32:02
It’s now being reported that no such offer was made to Izzy and it was all nonsense.

3.) 27 Jul 2019 20:32:04
It’s already been rubbishd. We have not offered Izzy a contract.

4.) 27 Jul 2019 21:35:20
Beat you to it by 2 seconds Kev 😂.

5.) 27 Jul 2019 22:02:37
People need to stop wetting them selves over every story in the press. It happens every year surely everyone has learnt this by now.

{Ed007's Note - Learnt by now...... 😂😂😂😂😂

6.) 27 Jul 2019 22:32:24
Learnt by now? It gets worse with every trophy we win.

28 Jun 2019 11:38:24
Fingers crossed as it seems Julien is about to sign today. Pictures of him at Edinburgh airport AFTER medical in London. So hope I am not tempting fate, but it appears medical must have gone good otherwise he would not be in Scotland.

1.) 28 Jun 2019 13:03:11
Celtic announced it so believe eve. Ignore the rest HH.

27 Jun 2019 18:28:20
Looks like another target not joining us.
Raheem Harper about to sign new contract at West Brom.
I just do not understand why our club always takes longer than any other club in these situations. We had the boy up as a guest and given tour of Celtic Park, surely THAT was the time to sign him on a pre contract, another potential young star lost to us because of Lawwell.

1.) 27 Jun 2019 18:43:47
I would say that even people who give good reliable information or gossip don’t know the half of what’s going on. To us mere supporters the information we get fed is ultimately useless until the pen leaves the paper on the contract. Trying to find reason within information littered within misinformation and gossip is a mugs game. Until there is total transparency - which there never will be - we will just get fed the dross and think about what could have been when in reality it was probably never on the cards in the first place.

2.) 27 Jun 2019 18:48:00
Tim u really need to get a grip mate, you been listening to your ex bear pals too much lol.

3.) 27 Jun 2019 19:01:13
Longer than any other club? Surely, if he's that gd, west brom would've been tryin to sign him to a longer deal since the start of the season. Which is a lot longer than our reported interest. Or by other clubs are you referring to sevco? Who simply "buy" any old dross.

4.) 27 Jun 2019 19:02:30
Tim what if that boy didn't want to sign a pre contract?
Was lawwell to beat him with a phone book till he signed?
No have no idea what was said during the talks or tour. Get a grip.

5.) 27 Jun 2019 19:08:53
Tim your patter is like a broken record
Lawells fault for this
Lawells fault for that
Same old shi£e every post mate
All we have to go on is gossip regarding targets, deals etc.

Everyone wants a good signing and it does seem like Celtic are always the tortoise rather than the hare when it comes to signings, but I for one am happy with pistol
Pete at the helm (for the most part) I’ll.

6.) 27 Jun 2019 19:31:21
Tim, too much of the faithful through and through brigade on here mate, Lennon's great, lawwell's great, signing policy great, etc, etc, truth is, celtic have been working this way for far too long and it's a complete joke, forget Turnbull, the club are correct on this one but imo this window will turn out a disaster, why do I think that? Simple really, cause that's how it usually goes. Time will tell of course and I pray I'm wrong, don't think I will be though.

7.) 27 Jun 2019 20:04:06
Feck going for a pint with you Tim. Is there anything at all about the way Celtic are run that you actually like?
I'm guessing you'd rather we'd signed Turnbull regardless of the medical result so it meant we'd signed someone?

Jazz, 'Celtic have been working this way for far too long and it a joke'. Seriously?
We're the best run football club in Scotland heading ever closer to ten in a row yet 'The way Celtic have been working for far to long is a joke' WTF?
I'm guessing you weren't around in the 80s?
9m for Edouard, 2m Bayo still to come into the team, almost 2m Shved still to come into the squad. just saying!

8.) 27 Jun 2019 20:33:23
Jazz what a steaming pile of dug crap.
Every window is a disaster eh?
Like one we brought in Dembele and Sinclair who go on to rattle in goals left right and centre?
Or like the one lennons 1st window where we got ledley Hooper stokes forster mulgrew kayal and izzy
Or his last when we got Griffiths and Johansson
Or Ronnys last when we got Sviatchenko, Ajer and Roberts.

Pure stinking windows them eh?

9.) 27 Jun 2019 20:38:31
Well said pod1, short memory's,

10.) 27 Jun 2019 21:04:08
Should have said late 80s/ 90s col but as usual notice as soon as the finger hits send lol.

11.) 27 Jun 2019 21:19:00
What about last couple of windows though? We have lost better players than we have signed. Our best piece of business was signing a guy we already had on loan while losing Dembele who was miles better. Comper In Boyata and Armstrong out and the usual project signings and short term loan deals.
18 months ago that mob never had a single player who could get into our squad let alone our team.
As it stands there’s little between GKs we have a better LB they have a better RB. Again CB wise with Boyata and Benkovic gone there’s not much in it. Middle to front we are still better but Rogic and Sinclair have went backwards whereas Davis and Arfield have made them not as far behind. Up top that wee person Alfredo scored more than French Eddy and he isn’t even their penalty taker. Hopefully Griffiths gets back to his best and their back up Defoe isn’t too bad.
Yeah we are better but nowhere near where we were 3 windows ago, we need quality 1st team players a RB, a CB and a fresh player in CM get Ntcham Tae **** he only plays when he can be arsed not loyal enough always trying to get a move.
Let’s all praise the board coz they didn’t sign an injured player, aye right they paraded him with the top after telling him they won’t be held to ransom and that deal was dead and that fud Kennedy saying we won’t lose any sleep over it before it was back on.
Leaked documents and manager being offered job in shower, a director of football on 2 month deal? seriously we have came this far better get a bit of professionalism back and pronto . incoming 😱.

12.) 27 Jun 2019 21:41:48
GGGG, thank the lord you can see it for what it is, some on here are blinkered to say the least, how on earth we are not miles ahead of that mob is a disgrace, but Kev83 says it alright so it must be.

13.) 27 Jun 2019 21:55:41
Yes we should be well ahead of them, but we are still and if we get a couple of seasoned guys in we still will be. Thinking back I still have sleepless nights thinking about what we used to sign, i give you Carl Muggleton to start, and raise you a Frank Monroe.

14.) 27 Jun 2019 22:15:17
Another load of nonsense.

1 Alfredo did score goals yes but when it came to the big games big french ed blow him out the water.

2. Sinclair has outscored every one of there midfielders even in a bad season

3 their right back is one of the worse defenders I’ve ever seen. Practically ever goal they lose come through him.

4. Their new centre back has just been signed from Oldham and the 2 there are shocking

5. At no time did the board parade turnbull.

6. Nick Hammond isn’t a director f football. He’s heading up recruitment

7. Member of staff steals paperwork and somehow you think that’s the boards fault?
Have we had a couple bad windows? But to say it’s always like that is a load of pissh
We are miles ahead of that mob.

15.) 27 Jun 2019 22:27:50
You'd think our board were full of dodgy characters who killed our club off using ebts or are bleeding our club dry. Some folk don't appreciate the success our club has had I'm recent history and a large part of that is down to the board.

16.) 27 Jun 2019 22:43:00
1 French Eddy scored once in 4 old firms, Morelos 0 in 2 and a quarter. He scored in Europa qualifiers and group stage, away to Sheep and Kilmarnock and was suspended in their only trip to Hampden.

2 Outscoring their midfield hardly means he’s not a worse player, their striker and RB both outscored him.

3 Their RB has had most assists in the league for 2 consecutive seasons and had more than both our full backs and Sinclair put together. I agreed he’s Pish defensively but in a league where most teams sit in it’s a good asset to have when a full back creates goals.

4 Iv no idea of boy from Oldhams ability but Ajer is ok except V them and our best 2 have left. Katic looked half decent when they went 6 or 7 games without conceding at end of season when he played.

5 Turnbull has been pictured with a Celtic top on despite never signing and Lennon commented on it on Celtic TV.
They did publicly discuss transfer negotiations though during the actual negotiations and allowed our assistant to discuss deal when we assumed he chose Norwich but deal hadn’t been concluded.

6 Fair enough it’s a different role Hammond has, still doesn’t change the fact it’s an embarrassing short term 1. When have you ever heard of a club hiring a head of recruitment on such a short temporary basis.

7 How you don’t think an important document should be left in a position where anyone who shouldn’t see it can is not the fault of the people involved is actually laughable and shows how blinded you are by the board in general. Get it filed safely under lock and key or destroyed properly if not required don’t stick it in a black bin bag! Again how frequently do you hear of this happening at any other club?

17.) 27 Jun 2019 22:52:44
Got to laugh at that, a better right back, Tavernier might be a lot of things but he is useless as a right back.

18.) 27 Jun 2019 23:06:02
To all posters above, i think the problem is we all know we need a 2 LB's if Tierney is going, a RB, a Centre Back and 1 forward.
We all want transfers coming in, the money is there, are we waiting for Tierney to go before we sign anyone. If i were Tierney i wouldn't sign for Arsenal, they are a club whose owner is spending their cash in the USA and they will win nothing in the foreseeable future.

19.) 27 Jun 2019 23:19:25
Tim how do you know it was Lawwell's fault?

20.) 27 Jun 2019 23:23:19
Tim, on this site you are constantly slagging Lawwell and the board, yet on the rangers posts site, you are laughing at them and bragging about us to them.

21.) 27 Jun 2019 23:24:36
I guess I am one of the faithful through and through brigade and I won't make any apologies for that. I will support anyone who maanages the club, runs the club or plays for the club unless it is blatently clear they are incapable. Lawell is a business man and a very capable businessman and thank God he is at the helm and not Dodgy Dave.

Some people I suppose would do anything to geet to ten in a row and do well in Europe even iff that means overspending and finding ourselves in administration. In my life I have had many dependencies or addictions if you like but somehow I was fortunate enough to escape the one of gambling. If people want to gamble with their own money, fine, but please don't gamble with the clubs money and future.

22.) 27 Jun 2019 23:40:37
PJF23. Well said mate, that is EXACTLY what happens. But this is a rumours page, we'd all be bored out our minds if people weren't posting or sharing their vague/ misinformed rumours.

Each to their own.

But I totally 100% get what you are saying in regards to transfers.

23.) 28 Jun 2019 08:27:20
To think we re miles ahead of them is delusional. In the league they beat us twice out of 4games and were 9points behind, miles ahead? Aye right. Oh we played rubbish I’ll hear and still won league, did that mob not play rubbish too with all their draws. Now we are going to play a different way with new manager and players while their squad is pretty settled with better backup players being added than they had before, their youth setup has be dramatically changed from top to bottom and their youths won everything bar the Glasgow cup last season.

We ve lost 2first team players and potentially another 2, that’s 4starters out from the 11. So far they’ve not lost one first team starter. And how we getting on with signings lately?

Miles ahead 😂😂🤦🏻‍♂️.

24.) 28 Jun 2019 16:02:42
GGGG interesting stats regarding their goal scoring players, please remind me exactly what they have won recently.

Can anyone explain to this Tim why the Compliance Officer is not looking at that tackle on young Frimpong, it was dangerous and could have caused serious injury, and with the referee, as usual, not taking any action, surely this is when the CO should get involved.
By the way, I blame our Board as well, how many bad tackles over the season have these shower of feffin refs looked the other way when bad lunges are perpetrated on Celtic players, over at Sevco they would release multiple statements about the injustice of it all, but Lawwell and our board stay silent.

1.) 24 Jan 2020 16:38:49
Keep saying similar Tim; the blind-eyes that are turned every single game and only Broony seems to actually react (and leave himself open to repercussion) . Very little from NL and heehaw from our CE.
On the other hand there is 'Hue and Cry' from the manky mob if a referee denies them one decision or upsets them in any way.
The biased media and certain pundits should also be challenged on any treatment and opinions that are purely personal, yet very detrimental to our club, players and support.

2.) 24 Jan 2020 16:59:12
We are becoming a nation of fairies
Your defender has to make that challenge the ball was there to be won. I thought it was a fair challenge and ad be happy if it was 1 of our own making it! It’s getting embarrassing moaning about players making gestures, fans singing songs, no heading footballs.

3.) 24 Jan 2020 17:50:53
I've said it before it was a solid tackle. We'd be cheering if Brown done it.

4.) 24 Jan 2020 19:05:14
I will explain it tim.
It wasnt even a foul.

5.) 24 Jan 2020 19:31:15
See if that was by one of our bhoys I’d be applauding the tackle blinkers off please bhoys.

6.) 24 Jan 2020 19:48:24
I heard on the news that going to football is bad for giving heart attacks, your blood pressure gets raised with all the excitement, well the doctor said maybe they should try playing nice soothing music, she thinks it's worth a try, . I had a wee chuckle when she said that, because she was serious.

7.) 24 Jan 2020 20:38:11
That will be the rebs out the window then aindoh.

8.) 24 Jan 2020 20:41:45
Big Simo on Miller, was far worse that what young Frimpong received, it was a fair enough challenge for me.

9.) 24 Jan 2020 21:57:29
I don't know, I always found Boolavogue quite soothing.

22 Jan 2020 17:26:00
I see that Soro has passed his medical. A wee question when he signs his Celtic contract will it be
(I'll get my cloak)

1.) 22 Jan 2020 17:57:37
You're acting funny, try to spend my money

You out there playing your high class games

Oh Soro, Soro

(You all might be too young it was a classic)

2.) 22 Jan 2020 18:44:32
A young David Bowie, my all time favourite singer, ooops, did I show my age there.

22 Jan 2020 12:13:38
So with the "random" "impartial" fixture computer scheduling Celtic to play FIVE away games out of next 6 games the team will have to dig deep, starting tonight at Kilmarnock where we always find it tough and Lennon gives our players an excuse by contstantly going on about the plastic pitch. Win tonight and it not only will give team and fans a boost but knock Sevco back as they expect Killie to take points off us tonight.

1.) 22 Jan 2020 13:17:21
I’d take 1-0 right now Tim.

2.) 22 Jan 2020 13:56:15
Hard no to mention it Tim as it's a farce playing on it. we're paying players good money and because of a surface we can't play them. they should be banned as they devalue our league.

3.) 22 Jan 2020 14:09:07
Some will say the fixtures even themselves out - even though the stupid 'split' interferes with the symmetry.
However, it's always the timing and/ or location or opponent that always makes me have my doubts about 'random computers' when it comes to Celtic and don't get me started on Cup draws ha ha.

19 Jan 2020 14:54:12
So let's see how close this "paranoid" Tim comes to the actual draw for Celtic and Sevco (in other words how easy can SFA make it for them AND eliminate some big teams at same time)

Aberdeen v Celtic
Sevco v BSC Glasgow (or next lowest ranked team)
Hearts v Hibs
Kilmarnock v Motherwell

Cynical? Me? You bet!

1.) 19 Jan 2020 15:52:10
We've just played the second worst team in the Championship Tim. That doesn't really tie in with your SFA master plan.

2.) 19 Jan 2020 16:22:52
At present if the top 6 in the league stays the same, Celtic come the split will have already have played all 5 teams away from home twice and the other lot will have only played all teams once away. My question is which 2 clubs will the Sfa pick for Celtic to visit for a 3rd time this season? . I say the Sfa will pick the teams and they will say it’s the trusted computer who picks the teams.

3.) 19 Jan 2020 16:51:46
You've been a bit unkind to Dundee utd.

15 Jan 2020 14:45:59
ED007 I saw a post earlier about Celtic strips, this is not related to that post, I know the way us auld yins remember things lol, but do you know what happened to poster called "Jungle Bhoy" I think, who worked either in the Celtic shop or at least had a job with club. He was the go to guy when new tops etc were coming out.
I used to enjoy his posts and others like Mrs E who was very knowledgable
Cheers for any info.

{Ed007's Note - I think JB fell out of love with Celtic after he left his job or at least reigned it back a bit mate and Mrs E is more into her politics as far as I know.}

1.) 15 Jan 2020 19:36:07
I mind Mrs E had a huge barny with someone on here a few years back, cannot mind who it was, might of been Old man Chris he used to fall oot with everyone 😂😂.

2.) 15 Jan 2020 20:50:45
Weird a was talking to another guy saying when a first started coming in here a thought Mrs E was Ed’s wife 😂.

{Ed007's Note - 😮 She should have been so lucky lol.}

3.) 15 Jan 2020 22:03:27

Yes with the hard game on Thursday and the physical effort team put, allied to orrible plastic surface, I would freshen it up a bit. McGregor looked tired on Thursday give him a rest and play Nitcham who was only on for last few minutes. Also Hamed put in a shift bring Bauer back and put Taylor at left back, he should be used to playing on plastic pitches. Up front, I would take no chances with French Eddy and play Bayo.

ED007 have you tried the PDSA (people's dispensary for sick animals) which is a registered charity and I am certain do not charge big fees, if any, just a donation.
There are two PDSA in East End of Glasgow, so not that far from Hamilton
PDSA animal hospital, Muirfield drive, Glasgow 0141 763 0800
PDSA Shamrock St, Glasgow, G4 9JZ, 0141 332 6944

Hope this helps, they should at very least be able to give you more information on any vets in your own Hamilton area.
Hope Yoda is not to ill.

{Ed007's Note - Thanks, Tim. He's not pooed since Friday morning and he was at the vet's yesterday (£85 the robbing 🤬, one wanted £148 just to see him!) who said he has a blockage and they gave him a laxative but said if that doesn't work it'll cost £450 to give him an enema. I should have stuck in at school and became a vet, the money they make 😮

ED007 what is your honest opinion, will Pedro again play silly b. ggers and mess around with low ball offers or will he give Lennon some support. It looks like Bristol City have jumped ahead of us with the player Sporar (Bristol City for fek sake) and now again paper talk of loans of players that cannot get a game down south.
Please tell us at least ONE quality signing will be made.
"worried Tim, Glasgow"

{Ed007's Note - Lawwell will do what he always does and that's try to get the best deal he can for Celtic, lowball offers will not always down to Lawwell as Hammond will have a say in what players are worth.
It looks like after we held talks regarding Sporar someone decided not to pursue the deal (maybe just for now) so nobody's jumped ahead of us with that, if we had wanted him I think he would have been here by now unless the club/players demands are unrealistic or Celtic feel they'll get better value for money elsewhere. I don't imagine anyone at Celtic being impressed with the way everything was being made public from their end either.
I'm as sure that there will be signings as much as I am that they will not be the required quality by some supporters.
January is always a difficult time to do deals as clubs don't want to lose their best players so you're working in a limited marketplace.}

Guys you are all missing my main point. Under Fergus he stood shoulder to shoulder with us Celtic fans and called out the SFA time and time again. Lawwell and Desmond NEVER do.
Pedro knows he needs the SFA to get him a UEFA job when he leaves us and Desmond is just happy trousering dividends from us fans.

@A glasgow green funny enough I was talking to my mate who works in a Hills shop they have an el coo bet him NOT to score AND get sent off 14/ 1
But as I told my ex bears Morelos MUST break his duck against us sometime, but I believe even if he does achieve this miracle our forwards including French Eddy and Christie and Forrest will outscore him lol.
