Celtic will need to be at our best on Wednesday to secure a victory. Kilmarnock have only conceded 6 goals in 10 league games at home this season. Half the goals Killie conceded were against clubs who also play on plastic pitches (Hamilton and Livingston) Motherwell have also scored there and the other lot scored 2 at rugby park on the opening game of the season. Kilmarnock have kept 6 clean sheets out of those 10 home league matches.

With two games a week for the foreseeable future, the pressure is well and truly on to get back to our best and most importantly, put away more chances and kill opponents off, while we are on top.
I appreciate we have a number of injuries, but we still have the strongest squad in the country and there are still a few players that are overdue to hit top form. Killie will be tough, but every domestic game has to be approached as a must-win.

Just a bit TW 👍. It's the domestic fixture over the next wee run that sticks out as a potential banana skin for me. The pitch is certainly a factor. As has been said they are all must win games now. With league duty restarting I hope our bhoys are chomping at the bit.

Rayman, Who’s shoes would you rather be in?
You make that sound as if that’s an easy question because we could find ourselves a point behind and we only have 8 home games left and Sevco have 11 home games still to play. I firmly believe we are in trouble after losing that 6 pointer on the 29th. We need to get in at least 2 experienced players, who can walk into our starting eleven because at the moment it’s 50/ 50.

Paythefacepainter, that was a well written and accurate article.
Up until recently I was in Lawwell’s corner because I always thought he had a 10 year plan which was going well until the summer transfer window. My understanding was he was doing enough to win the first 8 titles and keeping money in the bank for when it was needed the most.
The time for Lawwell to step up a gear and release serious funds is this season because everybody can see the gap has closed considerably. I also thought getting beat on the 29th would make us more determined to get experienced professionals in place because a title race is definitely on.
It is very frustrating being a Celtic supporter in these transfer windows and Lawwell needs to earn his big wage and bonuses and make sure he delivers the title because it is in his hands and if he fails, he will never be forgiven.

I was listening to SSB and Alex Rae jumped down the throat of a Celtic fan for questioning the boards lack of support. If Celtic sign Soro we will have spent £20 million on players this season but Celtic have still made a profit of £5 million due to the KT transfer. Sevco on the other hand have spent at least £12 million on transfers this season. I still think the board should release proper finances to give Celtic a much better chance of winning another title. Do you think the board are giving the manager proper backing taking into consideration what’s at stake?

{Ed007's Note - There's been far too much money spent on players that simply aren't good enough or offer very little - some offering nothing - through being permanently injured while the squad still needs trimmed down. We can't keep adding to the costs until we ship the likes of Gordon, Kouassi, Hendry, Simunovic and Bayo out, whatever happened to the 2 American fullbacks we signed as well not to mention Shved the wonderkid and where the Hell is Benyu these days?
It's the same old story for me, it's not the amount we're spending it's how we are spending it, £5 million on Bolingoli and Elhamed is starting to look like a waste of money for a start.}

The Clyde game is sandwiched between 2 midweek league fixtures. That means no Friday or Monday night games for pay per view Tv. The Hamilton v Sevco game will take place on the Saturday because Hamilton play Aberdeen in the league the following Tuesday. Celtic will probably play Clyde on the Sunday because we play our league game against Hearts on the Wednesday night. The Clyde game will be our 4th away game in 10 or 11 days and our 6th away game out of 7 since the winter break.
