Got a gut wrenching it will be Chris Houghton.

Wouldn't set the heather a light but not the worse choice.

2.) 18 May 2019 18:36:14
Should be Clarke if going cheap.

3.) 18 May 2019 18:40:32
Tesla, Clarke is the new Scotland boss.

4.) 18 May 2019 19:08:26
Definitely don't think it's going to be Lenny myself as I've said all along, I think he probably knows it's not going to be him either.

5.) 18 May 2019 19:21:09
A good move for Scotland if so. In saying that i would say it's a poor move for Clarke.

As much as he's the best fit for the role, I don't think we have enough quality at the moment overall regardless of who is in charge.

Somewhere like Celtic at least would give the chance to build something.

He would play a simpler tactic which imo we need. Benfica just scored over 100 league goals.

Playing the so called dead 442 tactic often or 451. Also reaching Europa semis.

Like to see us go two up top. Think Eddie would thrive with a partner as would Griffith's if he can sort himself out.

Of the available managers around I'd love to Laurent Blanc get the job, would be absolutely amazing for the club if we could pull something like that off.

7.) 18 May 2019 19:54:02
Philip Cocu would be the one who would excite me most but he hasn’t even been linked I’ve just saw his name mentioned in this site.

8.) 18 May 2019 20:05:37
With Clarke missing his family so much the Scotland job is perfect for him.

9.) 18 May 2019 20:32:35
Ice Man yes Cocu would certainly be excellent guy to get but I couldn't see him leave the job he is in to come to Celtic.

{Ed007's Note - Cocu's been out a job since last year mate, his time at Fenerbahce didn't go too well.}

10.) 18 May 2019 20:35:02
LB was an ok manager, but Wats he done for the past 3 yrs, y has no other team appointed him?

Ice man I also think cocu would b a gd appointment, his team's play gd football n he brings young players through,

11.) 18 May 2019 20:36:59
Sorry my bad just remembered he is also out of a job at the moment, while I do think he would also be good manager to have I think I prefer the idea of Laurent Blanc and all he can bring to the table.

12.) 18 May 2019 23:32:05
Blanc is a good manager and as he was PSG manager sometimes the job he done at Bordeaux is forgotten.

However he's been out of work since 2016 and I'd imagine had much bigger offers than Celtic.

So he's maybe just enjoying his payoff from PSG.

13.) 19 May 2019 09:31:29
Ice man I mentioned cocu a few weeks back. He ticks every box for me.

14.) 19 May 2019 18:03:17
Couch would excite me. Would definitely attract younger players looking to make a name in Europe and play the style of football we’re looking for.

At the end of the day the sustainable success of a team is down to how well the club is managed to which the club is managed extremely well. Happy with the swift appointment to get someone capable in to manage the team and the likelihood is the manager will even be in the dugout for the next game. Can't knock the club for the way they've handled this debacle.

Anybody know what's the latest with wee griff? Surely Lennon is the man to have a word in his ear and get him firing on all cylinders again.

On the bright side it's a massive opportunity for a new manager, young squad with more players coming through. Great reputation at the club for developing younger loan players. Plenty of rebuilding to be done in the summer to put their own stamp on the team. Still positive as it's exciting to see what the next man can do.

Always look on the bright side of life - daroo; daroo daroo daroo.

2.) 26 Feb 2019 18:52:43
And, hopefully, Griffiths will start every game and score 40 goals a season again.

26 Feb 2019 15:52:22
Sore one to take hoping the board already have a replacement lined up as it was almost certain Brendan would be away in the summer in any event.

Do you think it was assurances around playing time that convinced Brown to stay? I think he’s been long enough in the game to know next season it’s unlikely he’ll be a first choice pick. Maybe his ambitions are to move into a coaching role and Rodgers was prepared to facilitate that as per kolo. Which does reiterate your point Ed however I don’t see Rodgers being the mitigating factor in Brown’s decision. Who knows what discussions would have been based around.

Bitton back in the side, big Eddy hitting form again and believe Ntcham will come on to a game not forgetting wee griff must be nearing a return. Plenty left in the tank and more to come.

Have to agree. KT has proven experience beyond his years. Steady ship until the league is secured.
