Rumour going about on Saturday was that commons will sign a 2year deal by Friday

Paulster1987

1.) 26 Jan 2015 06:20:08
I hope so

2.) 26 Jan 2015 07:29:35
celtic are not giving him 2 years. It's a 1 year deal and as far I have heard it's a take it or leave it offer

3.) Come on Celtic give him his 2 years - he deseves it. Think about all the money squandered on donkies over the years, let him have his 2 years so he can start concentrating on banging them in again.

ShottsBhoy

4.) The way his partner was going on in the sunday papers, they are here for another 2 yrs

5.) Let's hope so by far the most creative player in the team and I'll bet he's not on as good a wage as some of the others in the team.

6.) He has been Rank rotten all season. And he was rotten against Ross county

7.) 27 Jan 2015 11:32:28
And he still scored the winner preventing 2 points dropped. Everyone was rank against Ross County. Just as well Commons didn't try to walk the ball into the net or it would've been 0-0.

8.) 28 Jan 2015 00:15:14
Not exactly been a rush of clubs trying to sign him? NL has been the only one trawling and now he accepts Commons is here for the duration of the season.

Reports in France suggest we've agreed a fee in the region of £2m with AS Nancy for 21 year old midfielder, Jeff Louis.

Paulster1987

1.) That's aw we need right now another fkin midfielder when we are only going to play 3! is this at the expense of McGregor? we need a CH and even more so a CF that is not a work "in progress"

2.) Agreed mate but we also need forward thinking players who can keep possession and see a pass and this lad is one of them

3.) Would rather put the money to lad Armstrong if we bringing another midfielder in.

4.) I watched a good bit of the Nancy game against Dijon on Friday night and this boy was a standout. always wanting the ball, running at people, creating chances yhe type of player we need imo

5.) Nice to read that Kinghenrix

Saw rumour that stokes is first out the door

Paulster1987

1.) Oh please be true

2.) Good, he does my head in with his attitude. He's got talent, but his all round attitude/demeanour is appalling! And when I say he's got talent, I mean some talent, I don't mind a bit of arrogance, especially if you can back it up with top performances in huge games, but this guy is a complete chancer. His record in Europe takes a bit of beating, I don't think he's scored against the other mob either. Look at Hooper he had something like 10 goals in 13 games against them. Hopefully stokes takes a few with him, because there are a good few who are no-where near as good as they think they are. We have no real leaders in this squad either, no leaders of men, that would take players by the throat and say get a grip of yourself, and show a bit of respect. This team badly needs an Aitken/McGrain type, - guys like Brown/Mulgrew etc, although they are senior players, they spend too much time fannying about/playing pranks for me. This just gives guys like stokes/Griffiths/Watt etc to behave like spoiled children. I am so underwhelmed with the current team it's driving me to distraction!

3.) If I was boss it's what I would do. Whatever affinity he has with the club, it should not stand in the way of progression, or blur peoples perceptions of the player.

4.) I have and still actively think that stokes needs replaced for a cl level push. but when he has been paired with a footballer up front he has ticked over domestically. scored some really classy goals that would of made noise in the epl. I don't hold him solely as a celtic man, or on a pedestal because of that or any way that would influence that type of judgement. I don't think many do now. he isn't that versatile(and never showed up enough as a leader of the line maybe) and that may be his short fall in Ronnys plans. I always want new signings to push out any regulars if needed to improve the team. is Ant the cf we all want honestly?
im not sure what his current contract is or his rep with rd but a more direct passing style of play might help?. trying to be diplomatic lads(not easy at all)
. it can be looked at as me being whinging git but for us to even disscuss AS departure as a stumbling block then we won't move forward.

5.) Point to add
if he goes who will bang them in?
its not a backing in the slightest but a shotgun barn door request

6.) Aimed * :)

Javier Aquino in on Loan source is here

Paulster1987

1.) We been told where to go by Chelsea or Atsu then? I'd prefer Atsu much more. Both players though, I can only hope there would be something in place for first choice to make any move permanent. Otherwise it is totally uninspiring.

@celticfc: RD on new signings: “Things are moving. We have a week left and hope to sign a couple of players but at the moment nothing is ready." (MH)

@celticfc: RD: “Looking to get players out on loan. We have a lot of young players who need experience. Important, as you can see with Callum." (MH)

"important as you can see with Callum" RD stating that the step up from the development squad is huge.
Only exceptional players can expect to do this, hence the farming out of the more promising players.
Once again the idea of the second string playing in the lower league seems a good one but with the SFA hell bent on destroying what they are supposed to be protecting and promoting don't hold your breath.
