What I'd like for Xmas.
A young, physical rapid RB
A dominating CH to replace boyata
A new left winger
A physical target man to hold the ball up.

Caught in two minds with the left winger situation. I think I'd like to see us get a striker in the mould of Dembele and see Edouard back in that wee gap between channels and lines on the leftvasking different questions. But then we have a situation where we have Sinclair as one of our highest earners pushed out the side.

2.) 06 Dec 2018 11:31:37
Defgo need a striker that can hold the ball up and bring others into play.

3.) 06 Dec 2018 15:14:04
A Danny McGrain, Billy McNeill, Bobby Lennox and big John Hartson will do Kmax.

4.) 06 Dec 2018 20:04:16
And a Lubo ged.

5.) 06 Dec 2018 22:39:17
Lubo was better than outstanding.

6.) 06 Dec 2018 23:13:26
I’d settle for getting rid of some of the deadwood this window, of which we have a lot. Including A few of our recent baffling signings, Izzy and Mulumbo.

7.) 07 Dec 2018 17:40:35
always liked the phrase celtic don`t buy stars they make them so in the january sales would like some exciting young potential preferably scottish.

Any news on the following rumours?
-benkovic staying for season (a must)
- boyata till end of season / new contract
- RB to replace lustig
- Lustic new contract as back up
- paddy Roberts return
- back up striker signing

These are the main squad issues we need to solve IMO, although paddy is a luxury item.

Striker wise calvert lewin or solanke till end of the year would my preferred, with. View to permanent similar to Eddie.

Love big Eddy, but his hold-up play needs a lot of work and starting to forget what wee Griff looks like - so we really need another quality striker. As for Roberts - he had his chance and preferred to go elsewhere and to be honest, I don't think BR wanted him, or he wouldn't have brought in Morgan and kept Mikey Johnston?
Right-back and centre-back situation needs long term solution and we definitely need to shift at least half a dozen or so from the squad who are picking up wages for virtually nothing.

2.) 15 Nov 2018 11:52:59
Someone in my work mentioned that someone from Celtic was recently reported in Spanish papers talking with Gudetti but I'm assuming this has to be mince considering how terrible his attitude was while on loan!?

3.) 15 Nov 2018 12:06:56
Surely no Tompo, next we"ll be talking to Jerome Aladiere, Carlton Cole and Mo Bangura 😂.

4.) 15 Nov 2018 12:11:02
I see Paddy Roberts has replaced Robbie Keane for the next 10 years as our new name to pop up every transfer window 😩.

So are there any possible replacements?

Vincent jansen has no squad number at spurs

Solanke is one of 5 strikers

Shane long may not have score many for Southampton but you'll get a more than capable 3rd striker n he'd be decent away from home n he's a diehard n we need more like him.

Either way the squad isn't strong enough up front for 4 completions.

Kmax

1.) 31 Aug 2018 22:54:51
Jansen has a broken foot.

2.) 31 Aug 2018 23:38:58
Poor wim.

Times up.

I thought mulumbu done well in games I seen him, away to red bull in particular (I think) he was our only midfielder who won a tackle n passed it well.

Probably the right option v them in January as well tbh. Allan seemed like a Rodgers type player, guess its hard when 2 out of 3 spots in mf are taken wi Broon n calmac so only 1 spot up for grabs for the other 4 CMs.

It isn't ideal but if the rumors are true on this lads potential ability I'd rather have than have not.

Get in bayo and Rodgers has 2 players for every forward position n that should turn those rubbish away draws to wins.

Im coming round to BRs thinking, young hungry players for the run in.

Kev83 nothing is a cert but I think an example of kev Bhoys point is benkovic, we had a chance at him last year for 6 or 7 Mill, baulked at the fee n now look, we'd bite the hand of Leicester for him.

I suppose we have with ntcham and eddy but If you have faith in the process release the funds.

Good player n can see the thinking in it but i have to say that since lennon left our signing policy has never felt stable to me.

I'd be interested to see the number of loanees we've had from Ronnie to now and what it was before in the same period.

I hope the lad does well for us n helps us clinch the league but then he'd be another gap to fill in the summer when we then go through this process all over again.

Our club seems to run in 6 month cycles.

Wish the Burke loan was 18 months, more difficult with 6 months but he has quality, bit of pedigree, pace to burn and a help / competition for sinky and James is ideal. If you think how important wingers are in Rodgers formation this is actually a superb area to strengthen as we look weak when jamesy or sinky don't perform or help out a lone striker, really happy with this. Leaves opportunity for arzani to come in next year, can see the thinking.

Right, castagne, bayo and announce Victor. Break wage structure n pay the spondoolies! Let broony go, clear out Allan / Hayes / squad players n let's have it!

Watched it n although it's obviously weighted towards a celtic only audience the points about stating the team you support and what 'group' affiliations you have were excellent proposals.

There is an obvious reason why there is resistance to something seen as standard across the border.

I actually think the review panel for incidents are 3 ex-referees not the compliance officer which would explain the terrible inconsistencies. If cut from the same cloth how can that be independent review?

Paul Larkin done a good job but an investigation piece by a national broadcaster would give it more credibility.

Some of the negativity is over the top, granted. You'd think we were the chasing pack at the moment but it really us in our hands. But I feel there are quite a few fans are more concerned with the decline in standards over the recent past that's allowed the gap to close, ignoring that is naive.

Full strength celtic can go on a run but we've yet to see it this year. Tough games for that mob after January, one slip up we could be 6 ahead.

Don't agree with the 'no challenge' but. In that same period we've been champions league and Europe after Xmas which is an outstanding achievement.

However I do agree we haven't replaced quality with the same quality and this gradual decline however small is the real reason for a close run league imo, not the emerging challenge.

I've not checked but moussa or sinclair aside, our best 11 since BT arrived has mostly been players purchased under Ronnie or Neil. Needs a bit of a tune up and improvements.

Part of the issue for me is that our signing policy is to get in young players and develop them to then sell them on, problem is they don't develop any further at celtic, the money we pay is too good so we can't then sell them if they don't make it so we end up with a huge squad if players.

I suspect the 2 strikers weah and bayo will again fall into this category. So in some ways it's counter productive.

If we can run with 50+mill wage then surely trimming this squad down and combine the wage of 4 squad no marks to get solid signings is possible.

We have 3 players in current squad who can play left back yet played calmac thereast game. So really that's £10k a week for Hayes and izzy that brendan doesn't rate good enough as even cover.

There inie the problem for me, selling first team player and spending the money on squad padding.

£13mill would've got benko and he'd have come but we'd rather spend that type of cash on 3 or 4 young players in the hope we might get a can dyke. We are now seeing the downside of that policy.

Outwith our current policy but Stephen fletcher offers exactly what I think we need, won't be popular but does anyone have a better option? Aus with a lot of the guys for Scotland too.

Don't want a loan that won't play in place of current strikers, no big money signing to halt progress of eddy, so an experienced striker who we can use away in Europe and against more physical team domestically would be ideal. Plus he's a celtic fan n why wouldn't he come to win trophies with us.
