Seen on Twitter apparently we're trying to sign Bojan by the end of the window and apparently Stoke wanted KT and money but Celtic told them no. Can't see it myself, but wouldn't be a bad signing

Kieran95

1.) 23 Jan 2017 10:44:26
The bojan rumour has popped up so many times now.

Personally I don't rate him that highly and wouldn't pay him the kind of wages he's on.
Certainly wouldn't trade KT for him but nice try.

Seeing a lot of rubbish on Twitter tonight that because Ryan Giggs isn't on the bench tonight he's on his way to become the next Celtic manager lol.

Kieran95

1.) 02 Feb 2016 21:16:45
Seen that as well don't know what to think of it maybe a good pull for players to come if it's true.

2.) 02 Feb 2016 22:16:47
Jesus f@ck that would be even worse than the Michael Oniell rumour 😖🔫.

3.) 03 Feb 2016 07:52:13
Ryan gigs was not at the manutd game because of a family illness.

4.) 03 Feb 2016 17:21:34
He was probably just away visiting his brother's missus.

05 Jan 2016 20:10:00
Seen on Twitter that apparently 17 year old Norwegian midfielder Kristoffer Ajer is training with us.

Kieran95

1.) 06 Jan 2016 03:29:28
I know it doesn't mean anything but this boy is on all the list's for wonderkids in FM16, I signed him and he turns into a superb player.

I guess there will be NO chance we sign him then.

2.) 06 Jan 2016 08:45:56
We might do the usual and sign him, then he'll play in the development squad for years, then will go on loan to Kilmarnock, Dunfermline then Stirling Albion before returning to his home land to try and save his career.

3.) 06 Jan 2016 16:53:11
Jonbhoy71 are u saying we won't sign him because he turns into a "superb player" on a computer game? I'm sure if he's talented enough he will be added to the squad just like big Nir and Rogic were after trials!

4.) 06 Jan 2016 18:59:11
Some people are so negative that I cannot understand how they use "we" when referring to Celtic.

5.) 06 Jan 2016 21:08:16
I typed it as a laugh!

I also said we won't sign him as we never as far as I can remember sign a player we take on trial.

I also type "we" when referring to Celtic as after supporting them for 45 years I feel like we are part of a family

Some people need to chill.

6.) 07 Jan 2016 00:34:57
Funny I thought trying to use humour on here even in an overt way was frowned on .
I apologise for getting you wrong, us long term supporters need to stick together 😀😀.

Seen rumours flying about Twitter that Desmond is in a board meeting today discussing Deila's future. Anyone know if there is truth in it?

Kieran95

1.) 20 Dec 2015 17:45:29
I hope so. i really do. Time for a shake up.

2.) 20 Dec 2015 17:57:19
Jose is available but we will need to act quick hehe.

3.) 20 Dec 2015 19:42:45
Yesterday was the last straw for me! We have not progressed even by 1% this year! I really like Ronny, he's a clever guy, has good ideas, but it's not working! The players are rotten - if we sold 15 in Jan, and bought 8 of a better quality I'd be delighted but it's not practical. As I've said before Lawwell and Park act more like football agents than anything else, and for every good decision they are making 3 appalling ones! The squad is full of mediocrity, it's too big and fortunes is getting wasted on wages. Lawwell supposedly said at the AGM that the wage bill is the same as O'Neill's time if that's true then it's a complete disgrace! Those players could handle the big games and earned their wages. I know they weren't a good age, and we wrote off the transfer fees, but we are talking solely about the salaries. If Lawwell is spending the same amount on this lot of imposters then he's not fit for purpose, period. I think he's nothing more than a egomaniac/megalomaniac. He, along with the rest of the board don't have enough about them to hire a big personality, they just want a puppet! They are cowards, and I don't trust one! Family and friends I speak to are disgusted and aren't going back! He should go and speak to Cesare Prandelli, or Bielsa and offer them what it takes! We need an experienced manager who can handle Europe/big games and teach these no-mark players a bit of respect!

4.) 20 Dec 2015 19:52:46
I also think Lucien Favre would be a great appointment. We've probably got more chance of Lucian Freud right enough! We need someone of high standing, - we are a laughing stock in Europe now, an after thought, so we need someone who will change our perception as much as anything! That board better realise that the fans won't take anymore of this - we are being conned, plain and simple!

15 Sep 2015 12:55:12
Hi ed, do you have a list of who was picked for the Europa league squad?

Kieran95

{Ed007's Note - Didn't I put it up? Sorry mate, here it's here:

GK: Craig Gordon, Logan Bailly, Leonardo Fasan, Ross Doohan

DEF: Tyler Blackett, Emilio Izaguirre, Efe Ambrose, Jozo Simunovic, Dedryck Boyata, Charlie Mulgrew, Saidy Janko, Mikael Lustig, Fiacre Kelleher.

MID: Nir Bitton, Scott Brown, Stuart Armstrong, Kris Commons, Gary Mackay-Steven, Tom Rogic, Scott Allan, Stefan Johansen, Luke Donnelly, Callum McGregor, James Forrest, Joseph Thomson, Mark Hill, Regan Hendry, Kieran Tierney, Aidan Nesbitt

ATT: Nadir Çiftçi, Leigh Griffiths, Anthony Stokes, Derk Boerrigter, Calvin Miller.

1.) 15 Sep 2015 14:05:34
That attack on paper isn't even EL standard imo. And people can't see RD's hands are tied.

{Ed007's Note - When you see the squad laid out like that you can see the obvious weakness.}

2.) 15 Sep 2015 16:08:12
Thanks ed! Can't see that squad striking fear in to any team unlike our past squads. Severely lacking experienced players, although it is good to see a few youngsters get the nod but can't see them getting near the starting 11

3.) 15 Sep 2015 16:36:56
We have to give them the nod do we not kieran lol? You're both right though it does look pretty poor.

4.) 15 Sep 2015 19:02:08
ED that's got to be one of the weakest attack in our history! No harm to wee griffiths who I like! But I never thought I would see the day when we would be praying he stays injury and ban free! When u actually see it down in black and white it really hits home how far we've fell! Poor poor stuff!

5.) 16 Sep 2015 11:18:45
That squad, on current form, couldn't scare Aberdeen.

Let that sink in and realise how far we have plummeted.

6.) 17 Sep 2015 16:08:12
Magicpole , the game has moved on , it's not about scaring any other team now . It's about getting the upper hand , like beating your main domestic opononents four times out of five .
I know in the eighties Celtic didn't scare Aberdeen , but that was then the game has changed .

Although we've always seemed to have managers sign to 12month rolling contracts, surely it's worth signing Rodgers on a long term deal just for worst case scenario another club comes calling and he doesn't walk away for nothing at the end of a season.

Kieran95

1.) 09 Feb 2017 21:43:11
You obviously don't know how a 12 month rolling contract works.

2.) 09 Feb 2017 22:37:49
@kieran95 - too late! I have it on good authority that Brenda is away to Arsenal at the end of the season when Wenger goes to PSG. Davie Moyes will then become manager after getting sacked by Sunderland when they are relegated.

3.) 10 Feb 2017 10:40:13
Naw he's no, he's the next england manager haha mind that shite?

4.) 10 Feb 2017 11:07:14
@Union Jack fishing season doesn't start till March. obsessed with us or what lol.

5.) 10 Feb 2017 12:34:37
i had a response up but i think there was too many haha's in it for the page to take lol.

6.) 10 Feb 2017 21:42:24
@marco88 - and yet a day after I posted the above, BR has come out stating he might only be here another 6 months! I should become a Begging Bowl Blogger and start charging for my info.
P. S. are you a Hun in disguise using the old ' obsessed ' line? You do know that's our go to battle cry? 😉.

7.) 11 Feb 2017 09:23:56
Haha uj, you know he didn't mean it like that. He's here for as long as he's welcome and you know it. Who you going to get in now? Dynamo? At least he can disappear with no mixups.

30 Dec 2016 10:07:14
Seen that Joe Ledley is out of contract in the summer, surely worth trying to get him back! Would love to see him back in the hoops.

Kieran95

1.) 30 Dec 2016 10:35:02
Great player in his time with the hoops but surely we should be looking at young up and coming talent .
In Brendan we trust.

2.) 30 Dec 2016 13:55:38
Absolutely not

we are looking to develop and progress.

22 Jul 2016 15:57:32
Seen that Brian McClair has left his role at the SFA surely worth giving a role within the club.

Kieran95

1.) 22 Jul 2016 16:29:16
Give him whatever John Parks job is!

2.) 22 Jul 2016 18:58:28
He might have to write two sentences reports on players and that might be too much paper work.

3.) 22 Jul 2016 21:09:47
What was his role at the sfa?

4.) 22 Jul 2016 22:02:24
"Performance Director" Wylie, whatever the funk that is with the SFA. I think he came in under WGS? Basically to oversee and monitor player development, but at an International level, your hands are tied imo. Before that he was in charge of youth development at Man U. Like every big EPL side though, it's a waste of a wage really. Despite their resources, how many great young players did Man U bring through recently? Sides like those throw money at a problem. Just look at the full circle they're likely to do with Pogba. Anyhow, it was tongue in cheek really. I'd give Park a run for his money though, whatever he does.

5.) 22 Jul 2016 23:28:25
I'm with you on that one Jim. It takes me a few times watching a player, they way they move, pass etc to see what they are about. I can't for the life if me understand some of the signings in recent years and how it can be so wrong. JP did advise on a few good buys but the howlers have been there for all to see. It could be his budget of >2m punts.

6.) 23 Jul 2016 01:19:51
I agree. It's the way we spend the money.

7.) 23 Jul 2016 01:20:59
But like you highlight, for every one good signing there's more than a few bad ones.

8.) 23 Jul 2016 16:31:23
rglen8 let us into the secret, who do you scout for and who have turned out to be your best recommendations .

18 Oct 2015 19:18:52
Scepovic has scored 2 goals in the space of 5 minutes tonight for Getafe, surely with a bit of game time in a less difficult league he would be banging them in.

Kieran95

1.) 18 Oct 2015 19:41:26
I think the problem with Scepovic and us was that he never wanted to be here. His heart wasn't in it. Shame really as he could have ticked many boxes for us but what can you do if a player lacks motivation and wants away?

2.) 18 Oct 2015 19:46:50
I think he is a good player not sure why we did not give him a better chance than what we did unless his attitude was not right his heart might be in the Spanish league?

3.) 18 Oct 2015 20:19:08
He's out on loan so there's a chance he could be one of the few that go out on loan and return a better player. For me it must have been an attitude issue has he appeared to have the attributes 2 at least match what we have at the moment. That said we should have done our homework and understood the type personality we were bringing to the club. I'd still love to see him scoring for the hoops.

4.) 19 Oct 2015 00:04:13
Scottish defences especially the mass defences our strikers face sometime can prove v difficult to break down . In more superior league on the continent strikers can often get more room and may find it easier to score . When Sceptovic didn't score many in his early games with us, non football things like climate seem to affect him .

5.) 19 Oct 2015 10:05:08
He's shown he can score at a decent level and I like his movement and the way he brings others into play and creating space. When RD talked of a few not able to take things on board it seemed to me like SS was one of them. Perhaps he's not able to press the way RD wants. He didn't seem to want to be here so for me it will be more likely if he has a good season in Spain we will try and turn a profit on him or at least recoup whay we've spent.

6.) 19 Oct 2015 15:01:06
For me he never looked like he wanted to be here. You've got to earn your place in team and when he did play looked very very average. I'm guessing he never showed much appetite in training etc as he just went further back in the queue. These guys should realise they are lucky to have the opportunity to wear the famous hoops but Scepovic chose us as a last resort. The deal should never have happened.

7.) 19 Oct 2015 15:44:59
It is rumoured Sceptovic didn't turn up for training everyday, when he did turn up he was sometimes late . This wouldn't necessary encourage Deila to pick him .

06 Aug 2015 19:42:25
During a Q&A on Twitter the other day someone asked Joey Barton if he would come and play for Celtic? He replied "would love to one day. Maybe when the Old Firm is back it would appeal more. Always wanted to attend/play in one". Just wondering if anyone would have him? I think he would be a good signing IMO just can't see him fitting in to our midfield atm

Kieran95

1.) 06 Aug 2015 19:47:39
U must be joking mate joey Barton for celtic the guy is shit and he is also a thug

2.) 06 Aug 2015 19:53:11
He's a decent player but he's trouble n Ronnie won't take the chance. What would his wages be anyway? Out our reach financially I would think.

3.) 06 Aug 2015 20:25:11
Kieran,you must be joking mate.

4.) 06 Aug 2015 20:38:47
Wouldn't touch that wee half wit with a barge pole! One he's a total scumbag and two he's utter pish! Never rated him,and he's a baw bag to top it off! No chance!

5.) 06 Aug 2015 20:49:14
Stephbhoy why would we wanna pay for season tickets and stuff like that to pay tits like that he has no place at our great team no danger he's not welcome wonder what the eds think about this one be interesting to see there opinion!!

6.) 06 Aug 2015 22:24:31
no thanks but more alarmingly…he says maybe yes but not until rangers are back because he fancies playing in THAT match ….

so barton would say YES but with caveats …. he wouldn't even get a sniff of the bench based on existing talent at the club

7.) 06 Aug 2015 22:33:16
Joey Barton should never be allowed anywhere near Celtic park.He is a sevco player if ever you saw one

8.) 06 Aug 2015 22:47:28
Would never have him! Nothing but trouble! Broony w kick his sacks
