Hearing we have enquired about James morrison.

Kevinod88

{Ed007's Note - A fine musician and wonderful poet who was tragically taken from us far too young. #Damned27Club

Ha Ed007, a doors man as well as a Celtic man🍀.

{Ed007's Note - Love 'em mate. I hadn't listened to them for a while but I was syncing my Spotify on my PS4 a couple of weeks back and my Doors list was on there.
I met John Densmore back in the 90s at a book signing for his autobiography, Riders on the Storm, I've still got the signed copy somewhere upstairs. We had a chat about the Val Kilmer film - but the (swear) must have lost my phone number.}

2.) 31 Aug 2016 00:02:14
Jeezo ed you had me sticking the earphones into my phone there to listen to Roadhouse Blues. (The live version) .

{Ed007's Note - Never mind the headphones!}

3.) 31 Aug 2016 00:40:03
Some old colleague tried to tell me 'back door man' was about chicken. I dunno.

{Ed007's Note - Probably his wife told him that. The song wasn't a Doors song, it was a cover of a Howlin' Wolf song from about 10 years previous to The Doors album coming out.}

4.) 31 Aug 2016 01:03:40
You can't beat a bit of The Rolling Stones, The Who, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Black Sabbath ed.

{Ed007's Note - I'm not a great Stones fan (more a Beatles fan) but I can listen to their greatest hits or compilations and a particular favourite is She's a Rainbow and Get Off My Cloud was an old drinking singalong song with mates back in the day.
I can't stand The Who!! Hate them in fact, far too much red, white and blue involved, and I'd love to ask Pete Townshend whatever happened to THAT book he was researching?
Led Zeppelin are good but Black Sabbath's a bit too much for me, Pink Floyd and The Velvet Underground are more up my street.}

5.) 31 Aug 2016 02:33:25
I'm a massive music fan ed The Stones are my favourite band you should listen to albums they done from 69-74 when Mick Taylor played guitar with them like Exile On Main Street, Sticky Fingers and Goats Head Soup he gave them a bluesier sound, i've seen (some a few times) The Stones, The Who, Neil Young, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Paul McCartney, Acdc, Motorhead, Deep Purple, Alice Cooper, Whitesnake, David Bowie, Page and Plant, Iron Maiden, The Eagles, Saxon, Quo, Gary Moore, Rory Gallagher, Joe Cocker, Joe Strummer, Rod Stewart (he was shite) Tina Turner (aye she played it) Chuck Berry, OCS, and a few more i can't remember lol.

{Ed007's Note - You deserve a boot in the haw maws for going to a Rod Stewart concert! Not only can he not sing but he's a pure dick into the bargain.}

6.) 31 Aug 2016 03:06:21
@ Ed007 regarding the 2nd stones number you mentioned liking in this post. Don't know if you will remember Aberdeen FC released their cover of the song entitled Hey McLeod get offa Ma Ewe. LOL.

{Ed007's Note - (facepalm)

7.) 31 Aug 2016 07:34:54
Yes, Pete where is this book? He seemed to have done plenty of research and yet not even a first draft anywhere to be seen.

8.) 31 Aug 2016 08:11:42
Great music taste, I am a massive Beatles fan but I absolutely love Pink Floyd. Can't believe they never got a mention.

{Ed007's Note - There's no accounting for taste buddy.}

9.) 31 Aug 2016 07:50:20
Ahhh the infamous book ed, maybe he's still researching he seems to pay a lot of attention to detail.

{Ed007's Note - Or maybe he's just another filthy wrong 'un...

10.) 31 Aug 2016 09:55:10
It was at Celtic Park in 91 so that swayed me going lol i loved The Faces stuff and hoped it would be all Faces stuff he played but it was mostly all his pop shite he played i just went up on the day and bought a ticket outside, i love the Floyd too but didn't get a chance to see them my mate saw them years ago in Rotterdam and he went to see Roger Waters in Manchester. I also seen Paul Rodgers, The Saw Doctors, The Pogues and not forgetting the mighty Wolfe Tones about twenty times i'll probably remember some more, i love the Velvets too ed one of my favourite tracks is Sweet Jane.

{Ed007's Note - I seen U2 a couple of times at Celtic Park (and once at Murrayfield) but that was before Bono got lost up The Establishment's - and his own - arse, I wouldn't open the curtains to watch them now. I seen Floyd at Earls Court in '94 and at Live 8 and I had VIP passes for both Oasis gigs at Knebworth in '96. I also worked on their main security team when they played Murrayfield in 2000. The Velvet Underground and Lou Reed solo have appeared at the Edinburgh Playhouse a few times over the years and I've seen them both a couple of times.
I've lost count of the amount of Wolfe Tones concerts I've been to, Motherwell Civic, The Plaza at Eglinton Toll and of course The Barras.}

11.) 31 Aug 2016 10:03:56
Lets just say hypotheticaly he is writing THAT book! Who the hell would want to read it, silly question actually.

{Ed007's Note - Wasn't it meant to be some kind of autobiography?}

12.) 31 Aug 2016 10:43:17
That old chestnut.

{Ed007's Note - Exactly.}

Ed can you confirm if there is anything in these samaras rumours? They don't seem to be going away! Personally I'd like to have him back and might give everyone a lift

Kevinod88

{Ed007's Note - I just can't see it.}

1.) Please to god! Don't bring back Sammy that's going backwards he wasn't that Good that's y he has Bn let go. He was an enigma brill for a few minutes here and there. The type of player that could look like a world beater 1st half then 1 bad touch in 1st minute of the 2nd half and his touch disappears and looks like he is trying to hard and his game falls away till he drifts into anonymity. For all of the bad press for Delia has had at least he's trying to change this squad of players hopefully for the better but signing Sammy would be a mistake, panic button play. celtic fans need to realise times might seem hard but chill and the will improve!

2.) Sami was the only resson we did so well in CL scoring in almost every game, u would need to be a person not to have him back, sure he doesn't turn up a lot of the time in the spl but in the big CL nights away from home we need a player that can sit up top hold things up and get us running at the back line . Who in the celtic team can do that with good effect better than Sami? Bioreactor? Dnt make me laugh! (Stokes, pukki, bioreactor, griffins, forest all bring a lot less to the table than the big Greek .

3.) Sammy has served his time. Time for someone else to be that European talisman. We don't have them yet but hopefully as my post was saying chill and time should yield new heroes. Sammy never done it in spl and as you stated he only turned up in Europe i'd say periodically he was anonymous last year at Ajax empty jersey. if we get Sammy we are not showing ambition end of!

4.) 10 Aug 2014 17:14:04
We shall see but I can see the next 12 months far enough! Samaras on his day is world class and for the wGes he was on we won't find any better that we know will do the business!

5.) Tbh the first game against legia was a perfect fit for big sammi. Type of player to take them on to run down time but no we continued to push up the park with no options

Ed a lot of chat on twitter world about lindegaard. Do you know if we are looking at a keeper with Forster away or is Gordon number1? Surely we still need another keeper with

Kevinod88

{Ed007's Note - The whole thing sounds a bit strange to me, Danish media are only reporting what some BS English based website reported. Van Gaal did tell Lindegaard he was free to find another club and the player has had offers in England and abroad, so why is it only a loan deal being done?
If Gordon is our No.1 why would Lindegaard agree to come up and sit on our bench when he can play every week for another team and if Lindegaard is to be our No.1 why sign Gordon in the first place? The only feasible way I can see it is if Lindegaard is our No.1, Gordon on the bench and Zaluska is leaving.}

1.) If Lindegaard is to come n I would expect him to compete with Gordon for the no.1 spot ( i'm sure he would fancy his chances ) I this would be good for Gordon as, from Saturdays performance, Zaluska is not good enough
