If Emilio Izaguirre is on that park for the return we will be SLAUGHTERED it shouldn't be down to one man but our left back is hopeless and it reverberates throughout our team especially the rest of our back four Scott Sinclair must be sick of the runs he makes hoping for a return to run on to,

I have been saying for years Izzy is no where near the player he was when he FIRST arrived Johnny Hayes played out his skin on Sunday I honestly have never ever seen a left back who stands still after passing a ball so much as Izaguirre does, don't give me show me your medals, izzy is a passenger Bigtime But Brendan doesn't seem to get it, thanks Chrisbhoy, Tiny Tim, etc. for getting it.

wee Man has lost it his legs are away. Said Hayes should have started same as old firm game at Ibrox when Rodgers played McGregor there instead don’t get it. Rodgers needs to shoulder some of the blame for his tactics and team selection tbh Izzy isn’t greatest when fully fit why play a half fit left back over Hayes mental he also doesn’t know how to deal with a high press need a change of system for Europe if that’s tactics of opposition.

2.) 15 Feb 2019 15:29:24
Aye like it's izzys fault. That's the players the board choose to recruit. We should aim for better instead we have Izzy and Hayes.

Hayes isn't good enough either, neither is hendry etc but is it their fault Celtic sign them?

That's the level we choose to sign which means it's the level we choose to be at.

3.) 15 Feb 2019 15:35:05
Izzy is finished at that level nut last night what on earth was boyata doing way up the park and jozo steps up how the he'll in that split second can Izzy react he was outpaced at the 2nd goal but boyata never exactly burst a hut to stop the cross and broony missed a 50 50 no like him so it wasn't all Izzy fault.

I've been looking through all the banter pages and as usual the opinions about who we think is responsible for our fall from total dominance and I'm no different, we don't have a decent left back and we don't have a decent goalie Sorro is too slow and mistimes tackles big time just read a table updated a week ago that our players average yearly wage is £980,000 last 2 minutes of added on time play last night twice Frimpong couldn't find a player to shy the ball to hence the powerpuff attempt to win the game I wonder if I'm alone in thinking that when we have the ball going forward we pass the ball when no opposing players are near them, to me they just pass the buck and rather than turn with the ball to see who's behind them, pass the ball BACK, as if to say why you giving me the ball, if our manager leaves so be it, wouldn't it be great if the great European teams of yesteryear knew they had a game on there hands playing THE TIC (it's in blood)

A bit harsh on Soro, I think he looks good. Tbh I don't think assessing any of the players is useful at the moment. We need a change of management and coaches to see what our players are really capable of.

Apart from Duffy, he's pish.

2.) 21 Jan 2021 16:29:40
Soro is raw but has big potential in my opinion. The next manager should be building a team around him and Turnbull.

3.) 21 Jan 2021 20:02:14
We don't have a decent RB either and apart from Ajer and Welsh whose still developing the rest are all suspect too.

Gutted in 60 years of watching us playing them I can't ever remember the Dark Forces Not having a shot on Target for some strange reason Christie and Griff
Started giving the ball away in the second half weren't as crisp as in the first half, the result cracked us all up, Near but not near enough watched the game on Sky result was Bad enough but listening to Stan Petrov was lamentable was on about MOM (imo) Ajer was to Blame for Biton being red carded, then on about Duffy should have seen red also, It took James Mc Fadden to mention That Moreorless could have easily seen red 5 minutes into the game for the assault on Frimpong what is it about some of our ex players, you were more than a decent player Stan but you do us no Favours as a Pundit.

1.) 02 Jan 2021 16:46:00
Probably because he's not there to do us favours. Some of our fans love to moan about biased media etc but at the same time want every ex-Celt to be a sycophantic cheerleader.

2.) 02 Jan 2021 20:44:44
Researching as hard as I can, I can't find any ex Celt that fits the
Sycophantic Cheerleader bill especially the Cheerleader bit bordering on a bit of discrimination there Kevbhoy (see still giving you the H) I'm not looking for any favouritism from the ex Celt's media
(Gave that up a long time ago) the vast majority of ex Celt's will just not Critise celtic in Public our Maestro is a great example, Tommy Burns another the list is pretty endless, the supporters on the other hand, we are notorious for it (Self excluded of course) anyway getting back to the point there was only one player on that park today that could've maybe stopped the thug getting his shot away and That was Christofer Ajer he was around maybe 25 to 30 yards diagonally away but it was Nir Biton who stopped big Ajer from getting the chance to get near to the thug and only Nir Biton by pulling him down
Big Biton I quite like and had a good game up until he was caught the wrong side of Moreorless so Kev what I'm trying to say in no way was my MOM to blame and I thought it strange how an Ex Celt that I admired for years would publicly blame him tell me Kev did you not find it strange that after the Duffy foul situation Madden was holding onto the thug like grim death, maybe if he let him go he would finally Finally have to sent him off OK Kevbhoy incidentally (see big Moussa is still with Lyon)

Thought the Tic did really well against a class team who are currently 2 points off the leaders PSG in Ligue1 ok we are out the competition but Lille wanted to win the section badly, I really liked our hunger if we can play like that against the dark forces I'm convinced we'll nail them I know it was only one game however hold the Lennon Guillotine off for now Bhoys
maybe just maybe.

1.) 12 Dec 2020 07:07:08
Why because he won a game, its too little to late for me.

2.) 12 Dec 2020 09:21:00
Good performance on Thursday but wee need to win our games up to and including against that mob on 2nd then we can start talking about overturning this season. the freshness and desire that Turnbull and Doro brought is exactly what we have needed I can't can't see many teams walking through our midfeild like has been a massive cause for concern this season and also now by default we might actually see ajer getting a run of games at right back which could be a big plus.

3.) 12 Dec 2020 09:51:16
Thursday was the first time in a while I’ve actually enjoyed a Celtic game and soro and turnbull where a breath of fresh air! Also thought young henderson showed up well to! But like Marco said, it’s to late! It was a win against good opponents in a meaningless game, nothing else! The damage has been done, and if anything bringing soro and turnbull in and them playing well shows that Lennon hasn’t a clue what he’s doing! The way brown ntcham and Christie have performed this season those 2 lads should have had a chance long ago! So yes it was good to see on Thursday but it doesn’t cloud the fact we have been absolutely woeful this season, been papped out of 3 competitions, and the league is all over bar the singing! Lennon should still go and nothing on Thursday changed my mind on that!

4.) 12 Dec 2020 11:02:06
The team he picks on Sunday will have a big bearing on how the rest of the season turns out.

5.) 13 Dec 2020 11:38:56
Good to see the press return to our play as that's disappeared this season. Hopefully we can keep the same energy and intensity as Thursday too as it has all been so slow and predictable up until now.

Are we already going the wrong way, I don't think the Rangers will bother one Iota about incurring vast debts in the campaign to stop the ten, just think Tim's TEN IN A ROW we without doubt are better equipped financially so why are we letting some more than decent players go? Jozo, Johhny Hayes, and possibly Ajer they three between them last season had some off games I prefer to remember the many Brilliant games they had, name me another centreback other than Ajer who supports our front runners the way he goes forward why are we selling any players, Me (laugh if you want) I would burst the bank to scupper the Man U or whoevers deal For just one measly measly Season maybe we for say 30 £million to bring The HUNSKELPER Back yes the one and only Moussa Demble oh oh that would maybe put us in debt say the doubters but Think about Tim's TEN IN A ROW We will only get one chance at this in our lifetime 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆Stay Safe.

1.) 02 Jun 2020 17:21:25
Even if all the ludicrous finances could be worked out, why would Dembele even dream of coming back to Scotland?

2.) 02 Jun 2020 18:43:16
Think u’ll find dembele will go for double 30 million! And even if it was 30 million even 20 million. if you think we should or would spend that sort of money al have a few pints of what your drinking! Couple of solid decent additions and we’ll be fine for the 10!

3.) 02 Jun 2020 18:45:41
We're not starting all this panicking about transfers again? every season we get the same s***. Then when season starts we must be 20 pts ahead after 10 games or all hell breaks loose and the panty wetting starts😫.

4.) 02 Jun 2020 21:04:54
I really wouldn't worry about next season. No way will anyone connected with Celtic drop the ball when it comes to new signings. We must have faith that they will not make the mistakes the other side made when they found themselves in the same position. In Neil Lennon we have a manager who will keep the players on their toes and remind them how much it means to the Celtic family. HH 10IAR.

5.) 03 Jun 2020 13:03:53
I always liked Hayes, particularly when he came on as a second half substitute. He seemed to instill more energy to the whole team . Jozo was a reliable centre defender squad player. He always tried his best and never complained .
However, if it means we are able to use some of our talented youngsters more, then I am all happy that they have been moved on . Going back as far as MON Celtic Managers have been reluctant to give youth a chance ahead of experience .
N Lennon has probably been better than most, but he could possibly still do more .

6.) 03 Jun 2020 16:21:17
Jmcg. exactly what game was Jonny Hayes excellent in? A goal at the midden, yeah, but never Celtic class.

7.) 04 Jun 2020 14:21:13
OK Carmyle Bhoy
Brilliant in Johnny's case maybe the wrong adjective but for me the best option at left back and I remember his crossing of the ball could have been better in a few matches he after all was out injured for a while but you see the goal against the Rangers showed you what he had in his locker and he was willing to get up the park with pace which I liked about him, old man Chris I agree with giving the young team a chance but not next season it's too important to be doing any experimenting incedently maybe I was daydreaming about the magnificent Moussa returning but I know this that prospect would Guarantee us the Ten with Eddie and the Griff that's what I'd would call Firepower cover any two from three and I suppose big Frazer between the sticks why would Moussa come back anyway you ask I'll tell you why Kevbhoy (still giving you the H) because MOUSSA DEMBELE LOVE US I know our outlays, but NOW is the time to think Big let's not kid ourselves this Title is by far not going to be easy in Lenny we Trust.

Brian Clough was once asked what his secret was after winning two European cups on the trot in the early eighties this was his reply:

"It's quite simple son when our opponents have the Ball we Defend and when we have the ball we attack".

now I'm nearly seventy and I do get the many formations a Manager can adopt during a match but although the game is a lot more faster these days the basics are very much the same was at the game on Sunday I honestly think our team just need a few tweaks ie our taking of throw in's how many times do we give the ball away plenty, our full backs chipping a ball to our forwards into space for them to run on to, leaving our striker almost on the half way line when our opponents have a Corner, don't have any of our Strikers take a Corner, And get our players to be prepared to carry that ball forward, at pace of course, and this one is for the all Hoops fans the 4x3 trophy campaign is still very much alive Lenny will deliver HH.

Hi buzz a while since I've posted, On the subject of throw in's
It cracks me up the amount of times refs let our opponents go for a walk along the shy lines, as you say it starts at4yrds and ends up at eight I'd like for a change if we could try and put a player about a foot away from the line to sort out the long throw in's still on shy's how many times do we give the baw away at throw in's how hard is it to throw the ball a couple of metres get the ball back and boot it up the park, hhktf jmcg.

Buzz your right Frim and laxalt I can see flaws in Laxalt but the reason I say Laxalt over Taylor is because he will try when closed down to take a man on and I put him ahead on pace down side he tends to give needless fouls away but for me laxalt it is, I was really impressed with our team today thought wee Frim done really well, and Eddie's goal was class i think Eddie And Griff will have too much class for the Dark side, we do them on Saturday I think the Ten is very much on.

Buzz I normally nod my head in agreement when reading your posts but a down side to the darkside being deprived of a trophy if it's ten games or one we have to be good enough to win them all, the wee are the people mob, have been given a SEVERE boot in the haw maws tonight and I for one can fail to see why every jungle from two to ninety two is not ESTATICALLY, GLORIOUSLY, EUPHORICALLY DELIGHTED merry Christmas Buzz jmg.

A draw Kevbhoy a draw the Sevconians might scrape a draw but if we play the way we did against Lille, the champions will skelp them, do you think St Mirren players would've settled for a draw tonight no chance at ibrox we will get right intae the pompous pretenders still no silverware for the great Slippy G nae draw kev draws are not for CHAMPIONS.
