good to see ajer getting a start in this game, hope he has a cracker.

2.) 31 Dec 2017 10:53:00
Thought the big guy was excellent. When we get a replacement for Lustig, and gordon, another CB the defence might be less suicidal.

I can dream.

Is Sinclair injured?

{Ed007's Note - Didn't he pick up a knock against Aberdeen? My Mrs also said the other day that she had seen that Sinclair's Mrs was having some problems (she's not long announced she's pregnant) and had been admitted to hospital in Glasgow so maybe he's been given some compassionate leave for a couple of days to spend with his family.}

2.) 26 Dec 2017 11:58:07
Looks like the jersey is ajers to lose now ed eh?

{Ed007's Note - It's looking that way, Kev.}

3.) 26 Dec 2017 12:09:51
Ajer's earned it. could have some player on our hands there.

4.) 26 Dec 2017 14:43:45
The Ajer lad seems good. When he first came there were a lot of calls for him to get a run in the side but BR sent him on loan to get Scottish football experience. What a smart move that was because the lad has come back to us a much stronger and capable player. Long may his development continue and again, well done to BR for his clever thinking and planning at an important stage of Ajer's progress. HH.

5.) 29 Dec 2017 00:20:23
I think once again B R has played a blinder, when all the experts amongst the support were urging Ager to be picked or else go out on loan B R played a blinder, held him back a little, maybe grew a little bit of resentment in Ager's mind .
This may have put the extra wee bite in his game and Ager and Celtic is benefiting.

If we can hold onto Ntcham he will be a massive player for us . Possible captain and definitely the right sort of player to replace Brown . I assume thou he's one from the to develop and sell on camp .
Anyone else noticing a bit of play acting creeping into KTs game . Seems to be going to ground a lot, not what's needed, definitely not from one tipped to be a future captain.

2.) 24 Dec 2017 18:28:45
Don't agree with your assessment on KT on the play acting if anything he is being and has been getting targeted by other teams for some of the rough stuff and a lot of it goes unpunished you would think that one of Scotlands biggest prospects would get more protection but not in Scotland as he plays for the wrong team in some peoples eyes.

3.) 24 Dec 2017 20:36:43
Its a mans game . ask Danny Mc Grain .

4.) 24 Dec 2017 22:24:34
aye and he takes his lumps like a man with barely any complaint doesn't need eejits like you claiming utter nonsense that he is play acting stay aff the glue.

5.) 24 Dec 2017 22:23:12
I know what you mean mate. At times he acts like a wee boy on the pitch. The sheep were physical yesterday, he needs to learn how to deal with physicality a bit better. helluva good player though! 👍.

6.) 25 Dec 2017 09:35:03
Watch him you clown, grow a set, the pin up boy is fond of a wee roll . Doesn't make him a bad player, just 1 that shouldn't
be a captain of a team . Non glue sniffing opinion . You should hear my opinion when on glue .

7.) 25 Dec 2017 14:46:26
Well TTTS i don't know what sort of nonsense you would come up with on the glue IF you are in fact not on it but I will bow to your supreme wisdom that Kieran Tierney is a play actor not deserving of the captaincy if you can provide me with some links to video evidence of it till then geez peace and have a Merry Christmas.

Hazard made the bench over DDV that's an interesting one.

2.) 20 Dec 2017 19:10:19
I would have liked to have seen DDV in goal and hazard on the Bench, Interesting Dembele not starting, is he away in Jan or are we saving him for Aberdeen.

3.) 20 Dec 2017 19:16:26
Ajer starting with Johnston and Hazar in the squad that is fantastic. Really want to see Johnston get some game time so i can't stop posting about it.

4.) 21 Dec 2017 10:28:18
Morning EDs I heard a rumour that hibs McGinn is being looked at to come in this window have use heard anything on this I know he has been talked about but not yet for me?

{Ed007's Note - Sounds like you've been reading Tw@tter, Richy. Celtic are interested in McGinn but there's been no fee agreed or any serious talks held yet.}

5.) 21 Dec 2017 12:27:16
Cheers EDs here's another BBC report Morgan deal close but how close is he?

{Ed007's Note - He's stuck on the motorway about 4.3 miles from Celtic Park.}

Haha very funny.

19 Dec 2017 09:37:24

Marvin Compper is due in Glasgow today to finalise his move to Celtic after he held talks with RB Leipzig yesterday over his future.

Ed007

1.) 19 Dec 2017 11:06:18
Think this is an OK signing but not exciting.
We really need cover for left back and CB this provides that.
I still think we will be bringing in at least 1 more defender though.

2.) 19 Dec 2017 11:51:42
So we are signing a 32 year old who has not been playing and possibly a young CB from Dundee. Don't see either as being any better to what we have. Starting to look like penny pinching again getting players for £800,000 and on pre contracts rather than pushing the boat out for real class, i thought this would be an area we would try to get real quality but it looks like squad players and back to quantity rather than quality. Hope i am proved wrong but i ain't impressed.

3.) 19 Dec 2017 12:30:42
Stan I know a couple of St Pauli fans, and they really rate Compper, they say he has lost his way a bit ( ring any bells Sinclair? ) Been told he is a good solid pro and will organise our defence and add some experience. He may even be used like Toure was to guide the young players like Ajer.
Let's give the guy a chance.

{Ed007's Note - 'Add some experience' lmfao Not that old chestnut, Timbo, Lustig is more experienced than him! Can Compper speak English?}

4.) 19 Dec 2017 12:48:57
I don't know anything about him Tim other than what I have read on here and elsewhere and it was grim reading so i am shocked about what our scouts have seen in him, infact when have they watched him if he hasn't been playing that is another concern we buying him based on footage from a year ago. I know Caulker has not played much football either but at 25, an English cap and potential to get back to his best he would be a better choice for me.

5.) 19 Dec 2017 13:04:35
Ed, you mention Lustig. I'm surprised he has not been used at CB more often. I suppose Ralstons injury had a lot to do with it but going by Ajers performance mid week he looks like he is more than capable of slotting in at RB also.

{Ed007's Note - Ajer did look comfortable at RB but it was against Accies. Lustig's spoke for years about moving to CB to prolong his career but I think he would struggle at any higher level than SPFL. If it was me going to play Lustig at CB I would do it with him as the central player in a back 3 where you don't need much pace.}

6.) 19 Dec 2017 13:33:58
ED007 why all the negativity over Compper, surely we should trust Brendan's and the scouts judgement, also I agree young Ajer needs more game time, but he came as a defensive misfielder why not play him there behind Brown. Lustig, sadly to me looks like his best days are behind him with his lack of pace.
Also ED007 I remember in the summer you championing Caulker for us, is all his troubles behind him, because we do not want or need another troublemaker in the dressing room, ala Commons or Stokes.

{Ed007's Note - How the Hell can you compare Caulker's problems to Commons and the trouble he caused? I doubt Caulker's alcoholism, gambling addiction or depression will rub off on any young players.
I just don't see any point in the Compper signing, it's up there with Gamboa and Hayes deals and goes against everything we've been told our player recruitment policy is for the last few years. And it pushes Ajer further down the list for game time. Play Ajer in behind Brown? Surely we should trust Brendan's and coaches judgement that he's a CB? ;)

7.) 19 Dec 2017 13:50:04
This guy is only about a year older the Izzy and no one would have moaned about him still being Tierneys back up.
We've all moaned about having to biton at CB and having no cover for Tierney but when it's being addressed people are still moaning.
The window hasn't even opened yet and people talking like it's just about to close and that's our only signing.

8.) 19 Dec 2017 14:35:35
So is this guy being bought as back up? How is that going to solve our defensive issues. If we are going to go get 2 CBs they need to be better than what we have if not we are just going to be stockpile fringe players. Bit strange after BR saying it will be quality over quantity. Expecting Eric to leave so that leaves us with Boyata, Simunovic, Ajer, Compper, and if rumours about Caulker and Hendry are true that is 6 CBs to keep happy. Doesn't add up unless we are selling and putting Ajer out on loan.

{Ed007's Note - Has Boyata signed a new deal yet? If not he's going into the last year of his deal in the summer.}

9.) 19 Dec 2017 16:10:53
If some of the rumours are true regarding the new centre back, Rogers must surely rate him quite highly. Private jets and private tours around the ground and dinner with Rogers seems like he is going the extra bit to impress him. If true, it seems strange especially if he’s just a squad player / back up?

10.) 19 Dec 2017 14:57:42
It would not bother me if he was sold Ed. I thought he did well to fight his way back into the team last season and scored some very good goals, i was also impressed with his attitude being out street running at 4am in the morning but there has been far too many mistakes this season and the worse has been the failure to even play a 5 yard pass to feet. Have you noticed teams are now going direct towards our CBs rather than using the flanks. That tells its own story.

11.) 19 Dec 2017 17:08:14
Thank fcuk for that a bit of good news for a change, cheers ed😆.

12.) 19 Dec 2017 17:24:33
Can we all at least give the boy a chance, I'm not saying he will have the same effect but can anyone remember the way people reacted when we signed a wee 33yr old Slovakian from a fighting relegation in the German league.

{Ed007's Note - What's signing Lubo got to do with it, don't you remember Freddie Ljungberg? He was the same age as Compper is when we signed him and that's got nothing to do with it either. The Lubo comparison is up there with the 'he'll give us experience' rubbish. We don't need experience we need quality.}

13.) 19 Dec 2017 19:37:06
A could do a better job than jozo at the minute we've got to give commper a chance and then we can judge at 32 there's no sell on but for less than a mill and if he does ok for a few seasons it might be decent business although ad love caulker as well.

I don't know why my reply didn't come up there. Anyway, I think the idiot should keep his mouth shut and keep his nose out of things that has nothing to do with him.
How would he have liked it if Jose Mourinho had came out and said he wanted the Man Utd job during his disastrous spell there? I knew he had no class but this is a new low even for him.
He basically said the club would need to give him substantial money to spend so for once I applaud Peter Lawwell for his frugal approach - anything that keeps that clown Moyes away from CFC has to be a good thing.

William Troost-Ekong's contract with FC Groningen runs until 30-06-217 and he is currently on loan to FC Dordrecht until this summer. He only left Spurs for FC Groningen in the summer of 2013 signing a 4-year-deal. He played 2 games for them before joining FC Dordrecht on loan in January 2014 until the end of the 2013/14 season then last summer he was sent back to FC Dordrecht on loan for the entire 2014/15 season.
That's why the name of the source website is filtered out, Tony, they just make up stories to attract hits without checking their facts, hit-whoring. If they can't get his contract details right what chance do you think their rumours are true?
