According to news reports Craig Gordon is set to make his comeback from injury against Dundee tomorrow night as Scott Bain can't play against his parent club , that must surely signal the end of the road for Dorus De Vries .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 03 Apr 2018 21:26:03
Hopefully.

2.) 04 Apr 2018 19:31:19
Boyata starting again tonight with Ajer this time on the bench. Thought after he was taken off in the last game that was it for him. Can't believe he is staring again.

16 Mar 2018 18:30:54
Brendan Rodgers saying that Scott Bain could be in line for a permanent move to Celtic after his impressive debut at £brokes .

1.) 17 Mar 2018 12:46:26
Its up to the lad to grasp this chance, what a life changing opertunity he has. let's hope for him and us it works out well. 🤗.

2.) 17 Mar 2018 23:55:09
Lets hope the manager gives him the chance to build on the rangers game and not bring Doris back into the team I like Bain I think he could be good for us long term.

3.) 18 Mar 2018 08:35:14
I'd like to see him signed. But only as a solid back up. We need a top keeper signed in the summer.

31 Jan 2018 20:28:32
Any update on Jack Hendry Ed?

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - He was or still is having his medical.}

1.) 31 Jan 2018 20:47:11
How much are we paying Ed. I hope it's not the £1.5m that Dundee quoted.

{Ed007's Note - I don't know know, sorry mate.}

2.) 31 Jan 2018 20:49:28
More good news. Are you a happy chappy Ed? I sure am.

{Ed007's Note - I'm delighted getting Musonda in and that we held onto Simunovic and Dembele.}

3.) 31 Jan 2018 21:11:25
Bain deal done but Dundee delaying Hendry deal. Hopefully push both through soon.

4.) 31 Jan 2018 21:25:05
Any reason why stalling on Hendry deal?

{Ed007's Note - It must be car trouble.}

5.) 31 Jan 2018 21:35:13
Has Scott Bain signed?

{Ed007's Note - He's at Celtic Park right now.}

6.) 31 Jan 2018 21:41:12
BBC are reporting there must be an issue with the deal.

{Ed007's Note - I seen that.}

7.) 31 Jan 2018 22:04:25
Listening to BBC radio they said it's Dundee side possible change of heart?

8.) 31 Jan 2018 22:07:36
As usual time is climbing all over us and we are dragging our feet, if we want him we should get the deals done .

9.) 31 Jan 2018 22:14:10
As of 10 mins ago Hendry is on way to Celtic park apparently daily record reporting.

29 May 2016 10:32:37
Yesterday's victory over Sheffield Wednesday giving Hull City promotion to the English Premiership will sure kill off any hopes of Celtic signing Robert Snodgrass .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 29 May 2016 12:55:33
He's a good player but the last thing we need is another left footed attackin mid/ winger! Need a right footer for the left side who can cut in and bang in a few goals like Roberts has done from the right. In my opinion that is the number 1 position that we need to strengthen.

2.) 30 May 2016 08:48:58
Snodgrass is a far better player that anyone we have currently on the left so let's punt them all then try to sign him.

25 May 2016 17:22:20
Brendan Rodgers has name Chris Davies who was at Reading, Swansea and Liverpool with him as his No2 at Celtic .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 25 May 2016 19:48:36
Heard that was case few days ago and that Kennedy might be getting kept on to.

Brendan could have stuck Rod Stewart on for the last 20 it was that easy today, we turn up we win 😃.

27 Mar 2018 21:11:08
The more I see of Aberdeen's Scott McKenna the more I like him, he's been excellent I both Scotland games, he liked well with Jack Hendry at the back tonight and is one Brendan should be keeping an eye on, certainly defends better than Boyata and Jozo .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 27 Mar 2018 21:30:03
good tim name too.

2.) 28 Mar 2018 07:36:28
WE SHOULD MAKE A REAL EFFORT TO GET MCGINN AND MCKENNA IN THE SUMMER ALONG WITH A LEFT BACK AS COVER FOR TIERNEY TRY TO KEEP EVERYBODY ELSE EXCEPT ROGIC (INJURY PRONE AND DOES NOT PLAY ENOUGH GAMES) CHRISTIE IS MORE CONSISTENT LET HAYES GO TOO WITH SOME OF THE OTHERS ON LOAN
MY SQUAD FOR NEXT YEAR WOULD BE
GORDON / BAIN
LUSNIG/ RALSTON
HENDREY/ AJER
BOYATA/ SIMINOIC
MCKENNA/ COMPPER
TIERNEY/ ANOTHER
BROWN/ MCGINN
NTCHAM/ ARMSTRONG
MACGREGOR/ CHRISTIE
FORREST/ ROBERTS
SINCLAIR/ MORGAN
DEMBELE/ GRIFFITHS
EDWOURD/ AITCHISON.

3.) 28 Mar 2018 08:26:51
6 CB's? Surely two of them can leave!

4.) 28 Mar 2018 09:42:17
Yes six is too much but give the youngsters a year or two to gain experience. All young players lose form for a time Boyata and Compper would help them also i would like to see if Siminovic can cure his injury problems as he could be a great player for us give him one more year.

5.) 28 Mar 2018 10:46:51
rogic is the best player we've got.

6.) 28 Mar 2018 17:51:49
Let Jozo and Boyata go, take what we can get for them
, both injury prone and neither is good enough, invest in Scott Bain, the young French boy Jean Kevin Duverne from Lens who can play right back and centre back, young McKenna and a left back to cover KT, we can sell Gamboa and Erik as well, sign John McGinn and try and get Paddy and Odsonne signed .

7.) 29 Mar 2018 10:51:40
That would certainly make me one happy Bhoy Drewzy!

14 Feb 2018 17:03:29
Hi Ed, after his man of the match debut for Dundee last night was there a reason we didn't sign Steven Caulker?

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - He wanted to stay down south near his support network.}

1.) 14 Feb 2018 17:42:43
Ed, staying down south clearly became less important to him if he ended up at Dundee. Are you aware of why we lost interest in him or was there another reason why he's not at Paradise? HH.

{Ed007's Note - When Celtic were talking to Caulker he didn't want to move to Scotland so that he remained close to his support unit. When Dundee were in talks with Caulker he felt that he was ready to move away.}

2.) 14 Feb 2018 18:55:08
Best signing of the january window by any scottish club i. m. o, struggle to see logic in signing hendry for 1.5m and dundee get yer man for nowt🤔 himself with commper/ ajer would have been nice.

3.) 14 Feb 2018 21:11:04
Thanks Ed, your reply makes sense. I know it doesn't really matter now but out of curiosity isn't it strange that his agent didn't alert us about his availability rather than him sign for Dundee? HH.

{Ed007's Note - We had brought in Compper and Hendry and only Sviatchenko had left so there was no point. I wouldn't be surprised if Rodgers has had a hand in Caulker's move to Dundee though. Perhaps Caulker contacted Rodgers, their relationship is way beyond needing agents speaking, and when Rodgers couldn't fit him into his squad he offered Dundee the chance to speak to Caulker during the Hendry negotiations - remember there was a late hitch in the Hendry move, could that have been to do with Dundee having no replacement for Hendry and Rodgers put them and Caulker together? Caulker has said he only spoke to Neil McCann on the phone before deciding to come up and sign, he was training with Luton then 2/3 days later he rolls up here and signs for Dundee, it's a bit weird isn't it?}

4.) 14 Feb 2018 22:14:28
Didn't realise Caulker had Scottish family connections and can or could have played for Scotland, think Ngog was a good signing for RC, in the window as well.

24 Jan 2018 21:57:02
That's Aberdeen done as far as the league is concerned, McInnes can't win a big game, that's 9 points they've gifted them, don't see Sevco letting 2nd place slip now much as it pains me to say it .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 24 Jan 2018 22:09:52
ha ha ha the daft cunny funts are celebrating as their "title challenge" is gathering pace.
I did not have the heart to tell them they did Celtic a FAVOUR by keeping our 11 point lead.

2.) 24 Jan 2018 22:15:59
Agree its Sevco for 2nd. No matter what we say they have gone out and strengthened in the window. Maybe not Celtic class players but better than they had. Martin is a good addition and Cummings as no 2 striker is not a bad move. The boy from QPR is not a bad player either. They won't close the gap this season but the next couple of Celtic Rangers games will be interesting. After the way we performed against Thistle we may not have a 10 point lead at the end of the season.

3.) 24 Jan 2018 22:22:48
As long as we don’t let first place slip they can finish where they like. Aberdeen are a woeful team tbf.

4.) 24 Jan 2018 22:23:56
I must have been watching a different game l can't believe Aberdeen never scored and Sevco scored against the run of play?

5.) 24 Jan 2018 22:39:13
Jamiebhoy didn't think the game was on tv. Were Rangers any good?

6.) 24 Jan 2018 22:56:22
A good friend of mine sent me a link Jmac

For me they scored against the run of play, it was a penalty but Foderingham was there best player with some unreal stops Aberdeen could have had 4 or 5 on a different night how the ball stayed out the net on two occasions baffled me.

7.) 24 Jan 2018 23:31:41
Jamiebhoy, just shows you how two people can look at the same thing and get s completely different take on it, I thought The rangers played well, passed well, found their teammates, were aggressive and incisive, and Morelos missed a couple of sitters, I wasn't so sure about the penalty, think Lewis threw himself down well before and Windass went for the penalty instead of avoiding Lewis, but maybe I need to see it again, I thought Aberdeen were toothless, lacking ideas and looked like they were in a different league from the home team, but, then again I only saw about twenty-five minutes on the live YouTube link.

8.) 24 Jan 2018 23:35:50
Aberdeen are a poor lot, that's 3 defeats in a trot to that mob. When was the last real meaningful game Aberdeen won?

9.) 24 Jan 2018 23:43:25
Nice to see you have upgraded from watching it on the radio aindoh lol match report saying foderingham had fantastic saves and Aberdeen should have had two on another night but accept match report nicer to Rangers than I was 👍🍀🍀.

10.) 25 Jan 2018 00:28:08
Yes, foderinhham did have a couple of good saves, but from what I saw, they were against the run of play, Aberdeen were being totally dominated, the thing o YouTube was commented on by The rangers supporters and players, so i thought it was The rangers TV, when Tavernier scored the penalty, it was like one of those Brazilian guys from years ago, goaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaal, but even though the commentating was biased, there was no getting away from the evidence in front of your eyes, Aberdeen were pitiful, as the team that's sitting second in the league, their performance was awful.

11.) 25 Jan 2018 07:19:32
I watched the second half and Aberdeen were rank rotten. They have no bottle for big games.

12.) 25 Jan 2018 07:21:02
Plus GMS proved exactly why he wasn't a success at parkhead. All the skill in the world but doesn't have the mentality for big games.

13.) 25 Jan 2018 09:02:29
It was inevitable that sevco would improve. I think the signings they have made have improved them. Would any of them get a game for us? That remains to be seen through their performances and how our players react.

I actually welcome them getting better. It focuses, or should, the mind of the board and Brendan in relation to what needs to be done. The other advantage I see is in them believing they are ready to take over, backed up by a fawning press and if we react properly and smash them then the pain inflicted becomes more acute.

You know what they are like, they string three wins together and they think they are Barcelona. Beating them when they are in thus La La Land is one of the sweetest feelings.

We have the resources to move further ahead. We have the manager to achieve that. Rangers getting better will be the catalyst we always seem to need to react.

As I read the match report I had an image if the hack sitting there with his rangers scarf on praying for a revival and focusing totally on how good they were.

Let them get all carried away. The crash in hope when we keep ahead of them, is one of the greatest gifts in life, never mind fitba.

They are praying we don't bring in anybody of real class. Let's do just that and start of the process of a return to misery.

It's in our own hands. I still have no doubts about us doing just that.

The game at CP when we played rubbish and they still couldn't win. The trick is to go to Ibrox the next game and destroy them in their own gaff. If they keep winning now the pain of that day on their faces will be life enhancing. for us.

14.) 25 Jan 2018 10:30:48
No matter what we think about them the stark truth is Aberdeen have went backwards this season and are a real soft touch.
Hibs, Hearts and St Johnstone are lucky to sustain three wins in a row at present, never mind mount a serious challenge for second place although as we have seen they are capable of raising their game against us - when it suits.
The relief since Pedro left has given TRIFC a lift and a consistency they have lacked and although they are light years behind Celtic, they would seem to have Aberdeen's number and it will be amusing to hear the revival reports to detract from the financial crisis.

15.) 25 Jan 2018 10:33:41
I actually believe that Celtic and Aberdeen are a bit rusty after the break, and rangers playing a couple of games have helped them.

16.) 25 Jan 2018 15:23:19
Aberdeen were never in the league anyway mate! They had as much chance of winning as the tribute act! Who cares about 2nd anyway, let the rest worry about that! Let them fight for the scraps off our plate.

17.) 25 Jan 2018 15:25:18
Watched it aberdeen were woeful.

18.) 25 Jan 2018 15:27:56
As long as Rangers and Aberdeen keep 11 points behind us, I will be happy, just about double the age of Rangers .
The traditional penalty wasn't forgot.

22 Jan 2018 18:36:45
What now for Stewart Regan after Michael O'Neill's Sevco style snubbing of the Scotland manager's job?
Maybe he could appoint the U20 coach and declare that he was the man they wanted all along!

Drewzybhoy

1.) 22 Jan 2018 19:04:35
Should go straight out and get Tommy wright.

2.) 22 Jan 2018 20:14:47
Tommy Wright is the man the Huns should have gone for.

3.) 22 Jan 2018 21:13:03
Definitely JFP1888. Prefect for Scotland job.

4.) 22 Jan 2018 22:27:44
I would give Stevie Clark a chance he has done well with a poor killie team and would have been one of my top picks for Celtic before Brendan came.

5.) 22 Jan 2018 22:40:20
I really like Stevie Clark also he would be my choice.

6.) 23 Jan 2018 08:29:06
Would be a pity for our league lose any of the two of them in my eye but both good candidates.
You don't need to be a big name coach who reinvents the game to manage Scotland.
What we need is someone who can really organise a team.
That why Brown done not to bad that was his strength.

Daniel Wass is a good player, experienced Danish international who started off as a right back now starring for Celta Vigo as an attacking midfield player, would be a decent option price depending .

Lustig is still well ahead of Ralston in all aspects apart from age imo, he’s had a couple of poor games but in big games over the years he rarely let's us down .

He is better than Hayes, but not better than Sinclair, Forrest or Paddy imo, Hayes is a squad player when the others are fit, James McClean is a decent player but nothing overly special, i’d rather we spent £7m on Paddy than £5m on McClean .

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - Well if he's better than Hayes he's better that what we've got.}

I know he is a Celtic fan but James McClean isn’t any better than what we have and will not get a minutes peace if he comes up here, would rather spend the money on Paddy tbh .

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - So you don't think McClean's better than Jonny Hayes?}

Brendan picked the same team that beat them well last week, the players didn’t turn up, they did everything as badly tonight as they did brilliantly, they gave the ball away cheaply, defended like a primary school team and don’t get me started on Doris, signing him was probably the worst thing Brendan has done, he was pish at Dunfermline a decade ago and should be nowhere near Celtic, given our financial restraints Brendan has done well to get us to the group stages of the CL 2 years in a row and further into the EL this time but we are not good enough, let’s concentrate on winning back to back trebles, the first time it will ever have been done starting at Pittodrie on Sunday with Scott Bain starting in goal 🍀 HH.
