Hi Ed have you heard anything regarding Paddy returning on a 5 year deal? Heard it off a couple of people today!

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard that.}

1.) 03 Aug 2018 13:02:38
🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻.

2.) 03 Aug 2018 14:17:24
Just seen we have a deal in place to sign arzani perm if the loan works out hope this is true.

3.) 04 Aug 2018 13:16:21
Marco is anything true? :) they say the truth is out there though. Probably.

I hope we can buy him though if he works out, otherwise City benefit from us developing him. That’s the preferred option. Here’s hoping.

26 Jul 2018 13:11:59
Newcastle have signed Celtic target Fabian Schar .

Drewzybhoy

1.) 26 Jul 2018 14:08:53
Who said he was a Celtic target?

2.) 26 Jul 2018 16:29:47
Was reported in all the papers a few weeks ago that Celtic were looking at him.

3.) 26 Jul 2018 16:40:50
So were Danny Ings and Jack Marriott.

4.) 26 Jul 2018 16:53:43
Paper cannot refuse ink, Confucius, he say.

5.) 26 Jul 2018 19:27:24
About time someone brought Confucius into it, Aindoh. Ntcham is destined to become our unwobbling pivot.

6.) 26 Jul 2018 21:56:54
Teflon67 please tell me you didn't say it was in the paper 😂😂
When are Celtic fans going to learn not to trust a word the press say.

7.) 27 Jul 2018 16:04:05
Bit rich having a go at anyone kev83, when u just said you'd heard a rumour about signing someone from a delivery driver and a guy u play 5s with 🙈😂.

12 Jul 2018 06:06:59
Steven Caulker sent home from Dundee's training camp . surely he's not trying work his ticket out of Dundee So he can sign for us 😉, or have his issues returned?

Drewzybhoy

1.) 12 Jul 2018 12:57:06
Wouldn't be like wee rat mccann to fall out with one of his players eh?

22 Jun 2018 20:17:07
According to reports Celtic have agreed a £7m deal with Southampton for Stuart Armstrong and he is keen to go, he's been a good player for us over the last 3 years but if he wants to go then we should take the money and replace him with somebody better who wants to be here, all the best Stuart hope it works out for you 👍🏼.

Drewzybhoy

03 Jun 2018 15:07:02
Ed, any legs to the rumour of Celtic interest in Stoke City centre back Ryan Shawcross?

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything, Drew.}

1.) 04 Jun 2018 07:42:25
sevco target it seems. well according to the pages of the bewildered.

2.) 04 Jun 2018 16:15:14
I think he’d be well out of Sevco’s budget range, transfer fee and wage wise .

If Leicester City don't want Ahmed Musa I wouldn't mind Brendan firing in a cheeky wee bid, on today's form the lad looks a player .

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - He'll more than likely be joining Galatasaray on loan.}

1.) 22 Jun 2018 19:24:09
He definitely looked a player today but how often do you see a player rip up an international tourement then flop at a big club.

31 May 2018 19:01:31
Read this earlier .
See if Dick Dastardly had spent more time actually racing than trying to bam up the others he'd have won more races than Lewis Hamilton!
Take heed Dodgy Dave 😉🔫.

Drewzybhoy

1.) 31 May 2018 20:03:10
He is like a piss poor magician at a kids party, using distraction and misdirection to keep attention away from his own shortcomings and is only fooling the gullible and the short sighted.

2.) 31 May 2018 20:23:16
When does the uefa licence have to be in for.

3.) 31 May 2018 21:05:18
I hope the Celtic Board continue to put this glib and shameless liar in his place. We should make a complete fool of them throughout the summer.

4.) 31 May 2018 21:14:01
Licence applications/ recommendations to UEFA from associations are due today, I believe.

5.) 31 May 2018 21:43:40
He’s a classless spiv.

6.) 31 May 2018 22:18:01
the way I see it, Dodgy Dave is pushing this agenda so that he can walk away saying the SFA is totally corrupt and he cannot, in all conscience, remain.
He then walks away.

7.) 31 May 2018 23:45:44
Tiny Tim you can be sure the entire issue is about him deflecting his lies about transfer funds to SG. Rangers lost £7mill last year. They will lose even more this year unless they get Alves and co to walk away for free which won't happen. So £7mill a year is around £135k a week so how do Rangers save that money? That can't be done. I don't know why there is any discussion about Rangers closing the gap. It is impossible. If King does eventually raise £6mill from a new share issue it will be used to keep the lights on not to buy new players. I think SG will walk at end of the season.

8.) 01 Jun 2018 00:08:23
Ah, The whacky races, suppose most of the ones on here wouldn't have seen the original series.

9.) 01 Jun 2018 07:37:21
Great days Aindoh, can throw in Dogtanian and the three Muskahounds, Dungeons and Dragons, Thundercats, Mask, and Centurians.

10.) 01 Jun 2018 08:22:16
A blast from the 80's past that lot Stan, ha ha. Mask, totally forgot about that.

11.) 01 Jun 2018 09:00:46
You forgot He-Man, Battle of the Planets, Cities of Gold, Ulysses 31 and Batfink.

12.) 01 Jun 2018 09:20:03
Batfink 😂 Hugo a go go is Dave King.

13.) 01 Jun 2018 09:24:25
feck me, I'm thinking Supercar, Fireball XL5, Joe 90, 4 Feather Falls and Space Patrol.

14.) 02 Jun 2018 00:07:13
Pole position
Terrorhawks.

15.) 02 Jun 2018 11:39:17
hes just trying to deflect from the fact that sevco don't have a pot to piss in.

20 May 2018 19:40:33
I'm guessing all those "Grannies " that could have managed Celtic to the double treble would have been a handier, cheaper option for The Rangers (2012) 😂.

Drewzybhoy

1.) 20 May 2018 20:58:04
Despite all their years of cheating it's something that the old Rangers never achieved.
When Sevco were in the lower leagues their fans were constantly telling us that our success didn't count because they weren't in the league and we had no competition.
Considering that we didn't win a treble before Sevco came into the top league, and that in the two years that they have we've won two of them, will they now admit that their prescence in the league has made things easier for us due to their total lack of quality? .

2.) 20 May 2018 22:27:30
They are pickling in their own bile and long, long may it continue.
The bitterness and envy projected by Dodds and McLeish yesterday is a reflection of how the tribute act and their gullable, delusional followers are suffering at the hands of - not only the BR revolution but - the progress of all the other honest, well run clubs in the SPL BTW, I hope Celtic players realize what a bitter old relic is now in charge of the national side and treat him and the corrupt, fat-cat establishment with the 'respect' they give Celtic.

3.) 20 May 2018 23:55:36
that sports scene mob were praying Gerrard does well there lol.

4.) 21 May 2018 12:48:00
The whole sportscene team wanting a Motherwell win.

Every good move we made and Dodds instinctively focusing on how it was defended.

The situation is never going to change. Their pain and irritation are palpable. I used to get angry at this. Now I actually love it. It shows clearly deep trauma. I want them to have hope. Without hope the pain we are going to inflict isn’t as deep and scarring.

The default position of gulf in resources always makes me laugh. If one of those bastards could show me one clip, one sentence where they brought that up when Rangers had all of Hectors money it would have more weight.

They can’t because it never happened.

They think we live in Deludedville too.

Keep up the pain Celtic. In fact, raise it a notch.

20 May 2018 12:48:37
Ed have you heard anything about Ki coming back to Celtic?

Drewzybhoy

{Ed007's Note - Yep but it'll be the same place you did.}

1.) 20 May 2018 13:00:13
Good player but will he get a game or improve our team?, i’m Not so sure .

2.) 20 May 2018 13:18:18
I’m not one in favor of return players, it rarely works out and spoils the memories of what they originally were.

3.) 20 May 2018 13:41:11
He'd be an ideal replacement should Armstrong leave and would really suit out style. Can't see it though. He left in pursuit of the EPL and I fancy Fulham to get there.

4.) 20 May 2018 13:57:15
I think Mcginn is a better replacement for Armstrong and at his age fits better with our signing policy.

5.) 20 May 2018 14:29:07
I'd have McGinn as a replacement for Armstrong Andy.

{Ed007's Note - That would be my shout too, JT.}

6.) 20 May 2018 15:13:32
I thought this was the Johansen thread sorry 😖. I wouldn't take Ki to be honest.

7.) 20 May 2018 15:04:00
I don't think he's going to take us to the next level next season Ed (talking Europe particularly, here) . But as a squad player with the view to him improving and establishing himself in time, absolutely.

{Ed007's Note - He's more than capable on the domestic front and under Rodgers we know he'll improve, how far would be up to McGinn himself imo.}

8.) 20 May 2018 15:47:15
I definitely wouldn’t take Johansen back, was never a fan of his, one of the most careless passers of a ball I have ever seen .

9.) 20 May 2018 17:51:50
While I think Armstrong is a brilliant addition to the team with his forward runs, always though Ki was the opposite, was glad to see the back of him, thought he slowed play down, and was bad for the whole team.

10.) 20 May 2018 20:11:54
If we ate going for McGinn we need to do it this window. We have a few px deals available that may work for Hibs so the deal should be doable. Armstrong definitely away and Brown won't last forever but what about Kouassi? What do we do with him. He was bought as an understudy to Brown. Is he going to be sold Rd or do we bypass McGinn.

11.) 21 May 2018 11:01:01
I think Kouassi will remain understudy to Brown at CDM Johnny. I don't see McGinn playing that anchor role. He'll be the box to box/ creative passer that Armstrong is.

{Ed007's Note - That's how I see it as well, JT. McGinn is more like Armstrong and Ntcham playing the box to box role whereas Kouassi will do what Brown does and sit in protecting the defence.
For Europe next season I would play a 4-3-2-1 with Brown and Kouassi both playing CDM in the 3 allowing Ntcham to get up and down the park while giving us extra protection at the back.}

12.) 21 May 2018 12:39:51
That's a good shout to be fair Ed. Kouassi looked great against Zenit in there and we'll need all the protection we can get in the CL groups should we get there.

{Ed007's Note - We'd look something like this:
------------------?????--------------
--???????-----Ajer---??????----Tierney---
---------Brown---Kouassi-----Ntcham---
----------Rogic/??---McGregor/???----
-------------Dembele/Edouard/??-----

I've put the ?? in the CAM positions because I do think that line is somewhere we need strengthened, the lack of creativity - and more importantly our goals tally for this season is a cause for concern. Sinclair if he can get back to form would need to come into contention and if LG could calm down with his shoot on sight policy could do a good job in there imo with his speed and trickery.
We all know we're never going to win the CL and we've been very unlucky with the draw the past 2 seasons but I don't think we're that far away from being at the level of teams just below the 'big elite' clubs.}

13.) 21 May 2018 13:20:03
Three positions ticked there for me that we need to sign straight away mate. Would really like an attacking wide man better than Forrest to offer width at times though. 4 quality players should not be too much to ask this season and I think it well get us to that level you talk about.

I like LG as a cult hero and he's exciting at domestic level but for me we need to look beyond him, if we aren't already with Edouard. LG will never be selfless and there are just better focal points which as underdogs we need. People see tying scarfs round goalposts over the footballer sometimes me thinks.

Rogic will get the shout next season at CAM. Good ones don't come two a penny. If he breaks down though then that's it for me. I gave the decision the give him a bumper contract the benefit of the doubt because there's a player in there. Probably heart over head. That said we could still do with somebody to come on after an hour when he's blowing out his arse.

Anyway I'm waffling. On the whole I like that shape for Europe yeah.

{Ed007's Note - Next season is a massive season for Rogic, he needs to step-up and show that he was worth getting his bumper new contract. He doesn't score enough goals or create enough assists for me. It's his main job to create chances and show the skills to break down stubborn defences and as this season has shown we, as a team, never done that enough but he has to shoulder a lot of the blame for that imo. It's all well and good scoring at Ibrox and in important cup games but he needs to start being more effective in more games, 0-0 against teams like Motherwell, Kilmarnock and Dundee simply is nowhere near good enough.
If Rogic spends a lot of the season next year injured that'll be it for me and he should be punted next year.
We conceded the same amount of league goals this season (25) as last but we scored 33 (106 last year and 73 this year) less than we managed last season. You see for yourself on the live chat, JT how many times we talk about needing to find a way to break down stifling defences well that's guys like Rogic and Forrest's job and in my opinion neither of them have done that enough and/or consistently - did Sinclair's fantastic season last season mask the problem?}

14.) 21 May 2018 19:06:56
Neither Rogic or Forrest have done it consistently Ed no. Hopefully Rogic can add that but Forrest I'd quite simply like to see replaced. Fair point about Sinclair masking it. He's another that hasn't quite hit the standards he set last season but the difference in team goals isn't just down to him either mind. Ach you've almost got me after another CAM now. We might be in the market for a squad CAM now though with Musonda heading back.

{Ed007's Note - I'd have McGregor starting as our No.10 but I don't see Rodgers doing that now Rogic has signed the extension.}

Jack Hendry is a good footballer with the ball at his feet, he gets caught on the wrong side far too often and doesn’t have the speed or awareness to get back when the striker gets in front of him .

I thought he looked a good player last season, done well for Scotland but showed up badly against Burnley the other night and vastly over priced by Aberdeen so i’d be surprised if we sign him .

We took a similar chance in signing Craig Gordon in 2014 and 4 years later he is still first choice for club and country, let Brendan assess the boy before we write him off, he could turn out to be a top signing .

Harold was a hero when we stopped 10 in a row, he was a great goal scorer for Rosenberg because they played to his strengths, our style didn’t always suit him, but his place in Celtic folklore is secure .
