Steven Caulker?

When he signed for Dundee, the rumour was it was to get 6 months fitness under his belt and join up with us pre-season.

I know Dundee knocked back an offer last year and that was as apparently the deal to join us was done before he joined Dundee.

Anyone heard anymore info on this and what's they general thoughts on him?

If he can get rid of his baggage he would be a solid CB. To pair with jozo or young ajer.

Anyone think that Griff will be for the off?

Since that season under RD when he hit 40, for one reason or another ( personal issues, Injury ) he has never reached those heights since.

Don't get me wrong, I love Griff as much as the next man but I feel Brendan is losing faith in him and I won't be surprised to see him going at the end of the year.

1.) 08 Jan 2019 21:44:29
Having seen the way British HR operate (and I have a theory that they've done a number on society generally which I'll spare you from) I fear that Griff's best option, even in a best case scenario, might be pastures new. I hope I'm wrong, and BR inspired confidence when he spoke on the issue directly, I suspect that he will be seen as a liability and effectively discriminated against because of whatever may be going on with him.

For the record, I think Griff is a a (nearly) world class striker in the role he has carved out for himself, and would hope that we wouldn't be so small minded as to cut our losses. I wish I had more confidence that this time-out was genuinely for the player's good. It certainly has been sold to us--and to the management and other player--as such.

But this is a rant. He'll be back, and stronger.

2.) 08 Jan 2019 21:54:05
Have that feeling also. Hopefully he makes a few appearances before then.

3.) 09 Jan 2019 08:14:02
What's your theory cav? If u don't want to put it on here, put it on the conspiracy page. Good page for the most part.

With Southampton signing Angus Gunn from Man City for £13 Million, would anyone take Fraser Forster back?

Still only 30 so years left in him, and I was a big fan of his time at Celtic.

Obviously made a few mistakes at Southampton (which keeper doesn't make mistakes, just look at ours) which led to him losing his place and his place in the England squad.

Good keepers are hard to find, id take him back for up to £5 million IF we could get him.

Craigarm

1.) 10 Jul 2018 14:00:04
Gordon is like Xavi with the ball at his feet compared to Forster. No way Rodgers would want him.

2.) 10 Jul 2018 14:09:10
There is a reason Southampton are signing a new number one! Forster has been pure pish!

3.) 10 Jul 2018 14:31:27
I would take him back in a heartbeat. One of the best shot stoppers we've had in recent years.

4.) 10 Jul 2018 15:14:17
We don’t need him, unless he can play centre half!

5.) 10 Jul 2018 16:01:05
Ideally we sign somebody younger. If it was a choice between FF and CG I would say FF though. He's looked shot of confidence, ultimately affecting his decision making and focus but that can be repaired if his body is fit. On the subject of Gunn, he would have been on my shortlist. But that price, and indeed that of Edouard, show what it costs us now even to get youngsters in.

Big Fraz can kick with both feet.

Looking for a bit of advise please bhoys.

I’m traveling up from Newcastle on 23rd for the Aberdeen game with my son for his first ever home match.

We will be driving up and back all in the same day so any advice as to best situation with regards parking?

I’ve never driven on match days, so not sure if it’s a definitely no-no? Would I Better parking further away and getting the train?

Cheers.

we usually park just off london road turn up by the shop just after the csc club, getting harder for spaces these days with all the new houses being built but always managed to get one up to now.

2.) 14 Dec 2017 19:36:53
Craigarm: look up the area with Barrowfield st, get in there early 1pm and you pay the kids to "watch" you car £4 and there are plenty cars there so your car will be fine. its a 2 min walk across the road to Celtic park, and about 10 mins from the main Motorway to get you back down the road.

Hope that helps mate, safe journey and im sure you son will have a Great day.
HH.

3.) 14 Dec 2017 19:54:20
You could try parking behind Dalmarnock station, it leaves you with a 10-15 minute walk to the ground.

4.) 14 Dec 2017 19:56:54
If I were you I would park somewhere on/ off the road between Shawfield and Parkhead. This means you don't have far to walk after the match and you are close to the M74 for the return leg of the journey.

5.) 14 Dec 2017 19:57:30
£4 they seen u coming peter lol.

6.) 14 Dec 2017 20:11:55
WB: its the Big flash car I have. mind Bearsden and all that . fur coats and nae nickers as the saying goes.

7.) 14 Dec 2017 20:18:29
Thanks Folks. Aiming to be up for about 12ish so should get a spot close by.

Wee man is looking forward to it, hopefully have a good day all round 👍.

8.) 14 Dec 2017 21:26:10
Do they no let you land your helicopter on the park Peter? 👍🍀.

9.) 15 Dec 2017 00:00:58
Craig I do the Newcastle journey on business and my advice is park in Newcastle and get the train. Last year I think it cost me £32 return which was less than ma diesel would have been. Plus it takes under an hour and a compated to 2 1/ 2 hour drive plus the weather isn't great. Enjoy the game with the wee man Craig. God Bless! ☘️.

{Ed007's Note - Can Welshy not pick them up somewhere? He'll need to ask the Mrs first right enough.....

10.) 15 Dec 2017 07:54:47
WelshyTravel also does parking?

My mother-in-law has her lair in Baltic Street,

that early its easy enough to get parked there or the surrounding streets and then a wee walk up to paradise.

Just when you see a house made of candy, don't be tempted to eat any or you'll end up in the pot. Coincidently what has happen to all the local neds so your car will be safe. So I guess she has her uses.

11.) 15 Dec 2017 08:54:43
how would you know peter? the last time you were at celtic park dixie deans was playing for us lol.

12.) 15 Dec 2017 11:29:21
If you get to Celtic Park about 12 the Kerry dale suite will be open I know ure driving but the wee man and yourself could have something to eat and listen to the singer and enjoy the pre match atmosphere you have to show your tickets to gain entry but I will stress you have to be early hope u both have a great day haul hail.

13.) 15 Dec 2017 17:58:44
Craigarm why not travel up on the supporters bus leaving from The Irish Centre? I go up with them quite a lot. Much easier than driving.

14.) 15 Dec 2017 13:30:30
Your no far off the mark there ed she's no letting me go the sheep game cos staying overnight in hotel in Liverpool she went nuts when I said I was leaving that morninh in the 7 o'clock train 😂.

{Ed007's Note - And you're putting up with that?

15.) 15 Dec 2017 23:09:57
Done her a deal she's driving me to my lift up to Dundee early doors Boxing Day 😏.

{Ed007's Note - It must be near somewhere she can return her Christmas presents or at least spend money.}

16.) 15 Dec 2017 23:46:21
After receiving the letter telling me I couldn't give my season to my grandson when unable to attend I then received an email (being on the home cup ticket scheme) telling me how much it would cost if I upgraded my concession so that someone else could take my place in the event of me being unable to attend!
I give in!

I’d be happy with Kalas, always looked decent when I seen him previously and young enough to improve. As long as it a permanent deal I’d be up for this.

Not a big fan of loan deals for the obvious reasons but there is a player in Ollie Burke somewhere.
If someone can get the best out of him them he wou. d be a cracking addition.
Weah is a great prospect, but he is just that, a prospect.
Not sure if he will cope physically in the league, hope I’m wrong though.

Hendrick is off to Milan apparently. yeah I know.

Craigarm

{Ed007's Note - That might not be too far off the mark as apparently Hendrick fancies playing abroad and his agent has been hawking him around Europe.}

Not as simple as that. Given the speculation regarding Harry McGuire, Leicester will wait until the window is closing before deciding on Benkovic as they won’t want to be left short, which in turn means we are either hanging on to see whether Leicester need him or move to an alternative target and get them in early doors for the CL qualifiers.

I’d take him in a heartbeat. Exactly the type of nonesense CH we need.
Wages would be an issue though, but in a ideal world and all that.

I think the club has learned from the Mosunda fiasco. Personally, I think both both deals will be 6 months with the option of another 12 if all parties are happy. Like you say OAB, it takes people time to settle, this way, all parties are protected.
