Any truth in possible Adidas strip deal, or just rumour?

Bribhoy

1.) 07 Jan 2020 14:52:42
It's a rumour just now as it stands but expect to hear more the next few months when our agreement with new balance is coming to an end.

Footyheadlines who are highly reliable and usually get it spot on said an agreement was in place with us and adidas so here's hoping!

I personally think new balance has been a waste of time and the strips have been horrible, whereas adidas tops are usually stunning and would bring far more income to the club if a deal works out.

Cheers Greenclover.

I know it's probably done to death at the moment but does anyone know who the next manager will be. Anyone in the know? . I only get my info online out here and with ridiculous suggestions like Mourinho I've not got a clue.

Bribhoy, I think it's best to assume that Lennon will be announced as the permanent manager until the club says otherwise. A thousand people will have a thousand opinions but that's all they are. HH.

2.) 10 May 2019 10:43:43
Thanks Bob. Could be worse. 😉.

3.) 10 May 2019 11:10:07
Think it will be Lennon but hope I'm wrong. Problem is I can't think of many realistic candidates. Like ed said, it would be interesting to see who's applied. We can hope.

4.) 10 May 2019 19:14:05
I hope it's not Lenny and the board have got who will be next manager sorted now ready to go in right after the cup final.

5.) 10 May 2019 23:49:06
Bielsa if he doesn't get promoted? 😉 Doesn't spend too much either so will suit how the board work.

6.) 12 May 2019 03:40:02
It’s Lennon I feel bad for the guy doesn’t know what’s happening if he has a job or not, not many guys would have came in as an intern manager he’s bailed us out! Big ask to come and fill Brendan’s shoes, I personally would rather someone else to manage us but at the end of the day who can Celtic attract, we got lucky with Rodgers because he was a Celtic man and out of work. Imagine Jose Mourinho coming to Scotland and standing at pittodrie with a half empty stadium, and at the most a club record of 9million to spend on a player lol.

Does anyone know of paddy roberts injury progress. Thanks in advance.

Bribhoy

1.) 13 Jan 2018 10:38:59
Bribhoy according to Brendan himself, Roberts not expected back playing until end of February, Rogic could be back end of January.

2.) 13 Jan 2018 10:41:20
He is doing light training and looks to be on course for February return.

3.) 13 Jan 2018 11:07:02
Been a real waste of money this loan deal with little return.

Hindsight obviously but surely we have a player in mind for a permanent transfer going forward

I’d love to see us go for Sebastian Giovinco - unsure of what he earns in the MLS but the kind of creative player we need for Europe.

4.) 13 Jan 2018 11:47:37
I’d imagine Paddy is the obvious choice for a permanent signing Kev.

5.) 13 Jan 2018 11:50:42
Gionvinco went to the MLS as the highest paid player at the time. He’s now been overtaken by Kaka and David Villa, but he’s on well over 100k a week.

6.) 13 Jan 2018 12:01:55
Paddy was outstanding last year and can only remember one injury he's been unlucky this year but as far as the loan we could have paid 6mill for him and he'd still be injured.

7.) 13 Jan 2018 13:18:37
Yeah but he’d be our player if he signed.

Hopefully gets back fit and well soon as we could have done with him in late December.

8.) 13 Jan 2018 17:11:48
Would absolutely love it if we used the VVD money towards securing wee Paddy.

9.) 13 Jan 2018 20:36:48
A fit on form Paddy is our best player. Hope we can secure him long term.

10.) 14 Jan 2018 12:15:36
It's been a nightmare season for the wee man considering he had virtually no pre-season preparation and this contributed to his injuries and stop-start second spell.
He has proved what he can do when fit and confident and I would be delighted if we could secure PR on a long term deal.

11.) 15 Jan 2018 03:16:19
Thanks for the above info. Hopefully we can get a bit of spark back after the winter break. All the players firing on all cylinders makes for an exciting second half to the season.

As an expat only get info from the papers and online here. Any truth in sturidge rumours or is it paper talk? Any other solid info on new potential signings would be appreciated!

Bribhoy

1.) 08 Jan 2018 18:12:25
I haven't seen Sturridge mentioned in any paper online and I usually do a google news search on Celtic every day. I'm assuming then, that the Sturridge link has came from one of the tw*tter experts that I do not follow. Sturridge, when fit, was an excellent player, who the manager knows and would really fit our style. However it's a huge gamble given that he hasn't stayed fit for so long. Then there's the matter of him probably being on more than 100k a week, which makes any sort of permanent deal an absolute pipe-dream.

Is that short for Brittany bhoy?
Any cache clubs down there?

3.) 10 Jan 2018 09:50:37
Don't live in Brittany Island Celt. Over in Oz so this is my only real line of information apart from the papers online but that info is sometimes hard to believe :)

Just watched the Tom Rogic tribute on YouTube. Some amazing goals, a lot I had forgotten about. Worth a watch, especially the ones against the horde lol.

Bribhoy

1.) 28 May 2022 13:18:01
A was the same mate i had forgotten about a lot of them! he sure knew where the net was and scored some massive goals for us.

2.) 28 May 2022 15:48:15
Campsie not having a dig at you or big rogic he seems a decent big guy and on his really good days was unplayable. but I think his time and contribution at celtic is a bit of a myth . how many great games did he as a supposed playmaker have, 2/ 3 season and his goals record is 1 in 5.9.he was imo a good squad player who had some outstanding days.

3.) 28 May 2022 17:36:43
DRB a wasn’t his biggest of fans, i felt he wasn’t as fit as he could or should have been i think this season proved that! However there’s no doubting the goals he scored.

4.) 28 May 2022 21:05:29
Not doubting them and the quality of a good few. it's the amount. anyway best wishes to the big guy.

5.) 29 May 2022 00:33:49
DRB I completely agree. Considering the time he was at the club his overall stats are poor. Fitness was a big issue. However like Sammi when he was in the mood he was unplayable. Will still always remember him for that cup winning goal against the Sheep.

19 May 2022 14:49:33
Just throwing it out there, should we sign Ramsay for a season and only let him play against them. Only because he evidently hates them.

Bribhoy

1.) 19 May 2022 16:28:11
Just don't let him take any penalties.

2.) 19 May 2022 16:34:08
I thought he was already secret Agent Ramsey. ?.

3.) 19 May 2022 18:05:04
What penalties glen ? it's a hooped jersey he has on this time remember .

08 May 2022 14:01:32
Does anyone have any info. on Jota or CCV regarding staying next season. Apologies if it's already been covered but haven't seen anything. Both great players but if it was a choice of one it would be CCV for me.

Bribhoy

1.) 08 May 2022 14:37:26
Bribhoy,
The last I seen Celtic were in negotiations with both players and it’s looking like Jota and CCV will be at Celtic Park next season.

2.) 08 May 2022 14:52:22
Watched their body language yesterday all smiles gives me hope! Hh bribhoy.

03 Apr 2022 14:45:55
That was the marker, they're done.

Bribhoy

1.) 03 Apr 2022 14:53:09
Totally agree beat them in 2 weeks and they will be well n truly back in their box and struggling big time.

2.) 03 Apr 2022 15:45:44
That was worth staying up for Bribhoy.
Enjoy dreaming of an 8th World Record Treble.

Did anyone watch the Celtic B team, it turned up on my YouTube feed, 3 good goals by summers.

Bribhoy

1.) 16 Feb 2022 12:20:43
The official cetic website has a dedicated b team page fixtures results game reviews and most goals.

Actually gutted about Rogic. On his day an amazing player and still think he would have something to offer. But obviously some big changes next season.

I hope not, jet lag and lack of energy then thrown into that type of match. Give him a rest. I'm pretty confident we will beat them anyway.

Yep, it might actually be a good decision for reasons unknown but just when you think a bit of stability this happens. Which ultimately means the decision makers have shown poor judgement again. Does anyone have any legitimate info?
