Meanwhile across in the Emerald Isle, rumours are gathering pace that Pat Fenlon is in line to become Neil Lennon's no 2. Sweet loving jaysus, can we stoop any lower. Ed please try convince me NL will be gone, please, please!

BadBhoy

1.) What has NL got to do with a rumour lol?

Lets lift the mood a bit lads, favourite Celtic Personality, it can be player or manager. I think we've been blessed with great players and some great managers but for me it can only be Tommy Burns (RIP)

BadBhoy

1.) I think your answer is unrivaled BadBhoy. Tommy Burns, Mr Celtic! Closely followed by Ghod - Henrik Larsson.

2.) Tommy Burns is the man that got to do what we all wish, he lived the dream.
Unfortunately a only got to see the tail end of his career

3.) Hoopy the huddle hound.

4.) Tommy Burns is a great shout but my pick would be Bertie. That man is hilarious as well as a really nice bhoy.

Jungle Bhoy.

5.) Whilst TB was something special, for me there will always and only be one King Billy McNeil.

6.) I will always have a soft spot for lubo
Twist and turns wins by some distance
RIP
ParadiseAndy

7.) Joe McBride would be my pick.

8.) Rod Stewart just for his UN dieing love for the hoops and greeting for all to see after the barca pumping? Brilliant lol big p {Ed007's Note - I really hope you are kidding? He might have conveniently 'forgot' his days wearing Rangers blue but a lot of fans haven't. He's up, (or should that be down?) there with Sean Connery as far as I am concerned.}

9.) Seen many a great player over the decades, but Bertie Auld has a fantastic humour and personality and would walk over hot coals barefoot to play for that jersey.
The best manager we never had.

Jungle Jim

10.) Tommy Burns for me followed by Paul Mcstay. Chris30

11.) 04 Oct 2013 21:40:45
The big man himself for me, Jock Stein.

12.) Andymac I'm glad it is not only me who think's the big man should be number 1 on every Celtic supporter's lip's, without him we would be nowhere, he was treated disgracefully by the then Celtic board after he retired as Celtic manager, I would bet if you asked TB, BA, BMcN, JJ, in fact any Celtic player Big Jock would be the man
Tambhoy

13.) Big Roy Aitken, Jinky and Johnny Doyle for me. JK

14.) Wee craigo fur me hauns doon jist fur sheer daftboyness!

Hi Ed,

Can we do a predictions poll for the score tomorrow night. Also what about a poll, should Stokes play?

I'm going to go with a nil all draw with Stokes playing.

Thanks {Ed007's Note - I've set them up, please take 2 mins to vote:

Should Anthony Stokes start tomorrow night in the San Siro?

www.celticrumours.co.uk/poll19.html

What do you think the score will be tomorrow night v AC Milan?

http://www.celticrumours.co.uk/poll20.html

BadBhoy

1.) Iv voted no and I think it's justified as stokes will go missing up front away from home in Europe. He has played well so far but sammy or balde is the wise choice to win the long ball and hold the ball up to bring players from mf into the game

2.) I think NL has a system with Commons and Samaras with a 4-4-1-1-for away games in Europe and although Stokes has been very good lately he may be on the bench, depending on how things pan out?

JJ

3.) He has never been trusted to lead the line in Europe, I feel he deserves the chance and if he doesn't take it then that's his fault, however I don't see any logic to you putting Balde in ahead of him, we tend not to play the long ball too often, away from home it's all about keeping posession and frustrating the opposition and taking a chance if it comes along and in that regard there is no better finisher at the club at the moment than Stokes. I think he has earned the right to start but I see where you're coming from also

4.) Balde before stokes? We haven't really seen him yet, ., .kbarry

5.) I said samaras or balde, the big man can hold up play and flick on headers not saying its not a gamble but I'm sure stokes will go missing he doesn't have the presence against a good defence by him self unless we can make the system work where enough players are up to support

SOS BHOY

6.) Tbh honest if stokes doesn't get the nod all be disapointed he's earned the right to start after all its dwn to his magnificent bit of play to put wee jamesie in so a hope he starts samaras is no good up himself better out on the wing stokes has earned his place so give him it on the road again joe bhoy

7.) Samaras is no good up himself? Who scored the most goals for us in europe? The big man is our best foward in Europe too many short memories and too many excited by a couple of games by stokes! I'm not saying he won't come on to be brilliant this year but he goes missing for too long in games.

SOS BHOY

8.) I think Stokes deserves it & will start now due to Forrest injury, Sammie on the left, Del Bhoy on the right, Commons just behind Stokes. Prediction from myself- 1-1 Ledley goalscorer. Chris30

9.) Keep samaras up. stokesy chance will come, will make him more determined than ever for spl games. danny.

10.) If Ledley don't play, Mulgrew 1-1. Chris30

11.) Start with stokes and see how the game pans out but Sammy must play on the left as he will run riot against them

12.) Of course Stokes should play. Commons, Boerrigter and Sami too. With Abate and De Sciglio out we should have a right go at their full backs. So relieved Shaarawy ain't playing too as he's the player I feel really could have tortured us, not to mention Kaka. 1-2 the Hoops, gets me 320 quid if it happens.

13.) 5 on commons 2-0 celtic 250-1

14.) Should have shopped about, Commons 2-0 540/1 at Billy Hill. Stuck a cheeky jacksy on it.

Hi Ed,

I saw the rumours on Saturday morning about Shane Long, do you know if there was any concrete contact from our side. He nearly signed for Hull last night. Surely it would be a no brainer for him, Celtic or Hull! He would be a great addition to the team, strong, pacy and a bit of attitude to boot. {Ed007's Note - CFC were never interested in Long during the window that has just closed.}

Time for the gloves to come off from Celtic football club and go to town on the SFA.

Whilst I fully accept that we were over confident and shockingly bad on Sunday I cannot accept that excuse for a referee.

Will it take another Jorge Cadete episode for the board to wake up and act. Corruption in all forms is unacceptable.

My son was watching the game with me on Sunday and although he is only 6 he copied the Miller lunge at me out the back only hours later. I read him the riot act and he says "but the guy on TV did it".

Celtic should drive a stake through the heart of the SFA. I'm not asking for favouritism, just fairness.

Time for resolution 12 to rear it's ugly head again, dad always said to me, "more than one way to skin a cat".

BadBhoy

1.) 14 Mar 2017 16:32:50
Leave the cats alone Badbhoy haha.

2.) 14 Mar 2017 16:51:04
Madden and the rest of them are out of order and his handling of this game should be fully investigated. The SFA won't do so it needs our Club to make the strongest protest as possible. Not sour grapes when we are so far ahead; but to establish fairness in how our game is governed. Right now our officials are mainly poor and many are far too closely associated with the Establishment new Team.

3.) 14 Mar 2017 17:23:24
@badbhoy - have you taken on Timalloys Jackanory mantle? Do you honestly expect us to believe that your Celtic daft boy copied a Rangers player?
I'm all for a better standard of referee. Hopefully if Celtic do make a complaint they will be all about the Sporting Integrity and mention his failure to book Moussa ' Tom Daley ' Dembele.

4.) 14 Mar 2017 18:25:22
Lol my son did the same lunge as miller and said the guy on the telly did it sure he did mate sure he did listen it was a bad one and should've been read but stop with all the rubbish.

5.) 14 Mar 2017 21:51:53
Uj do u have the same opinion on diving with wee gurner and wee mckay likes a dive and who can forget the only full back in football that went down easier than a sat coupon hutton.

6.) 14 Mar 2017 22:41:47
Eh Fergie and UJ, yes he did, just like he throws himself to the ground like Suarez or jumps off the sofa like some of the guys from WWE.

7.) 15 Mar 2017 09:48:47
@mallythetally - unlike most on here I don't see everything through tinted specs!
I don't think Garner is much of a diver - he tends to barge into people before falling over or boots them up the arse.
As for McKay he's very quick and the slightest touch knocks these type of players off balance very easily.

8.) 15 Mar 2017 10:19:49
Union Jack you really need to have a look at yourself. That Miller challenge is a more disgusting favour than dembeles dive. Seen it for years. Dirty players come from angles of the game but that had potential to be a career ending challenge. Coming from a traitor in blue.

9.) 15 Mar 2017 10:51:26
Keep taking the tablets uj youll be fine and get rid of the blue tinted specks.

10.) 15 Mar 2017 17:49:47
Hahahaha my boy did the same lunge as miller and said the guy on the telly did it, do us a favour show him a dvd of Larsson and send him round to Celtic park.

09 Mar 2017 14:27:34
Does anyone know if Celtic have lodged the strongest possible objections to Bobby Madden refereeing Sunday's game. The more I read online about him the more scared I become.

Our winning streak has to come to an end some day, but I pray to God that it's not against "them".

Will Celtic have extra security to ensure the toilets are not wrecked again.

BadBhoy

1.) 09 Mar 2017 15:21:25
hes an ex sevco season ticket holder the same as beaton and mclean.

2.) 09 Mar 2017 15:51:45
The gulf in class and ability should be enough to cancel out any honest mistakes and blind eyes on Sunday as long as our players are on top of their game and stay focussed.

3.) 09 Mar 2017 15:53:08
We are too good for it to come down to a bias ref.

4.) 09 Mar 2017 16:35:49
Guys we all know what Madden is and most of his refereeing "brothers" but this is not the game the honest mistakes will come in, no the league is well wrapped up, all the shenanigans will be kept for the cup semi final, THAT is more important to Sevco for the european place.
Yes there will be a blind eye turned on any meaty tackle on Dembele, Sinclair, Roberts etc but this league game is not the mason's priority.

5.) 09 Mar 2017 15:41:30
@badbhoy - it's not just the referee. I've heard the Grandmasters of the Masonic Lodges in Scotland are running the lines with the MSSM as the 4th official. 😳 You are officially doomed on Sunday.
Prediction - Madden with a tap in from an offside position with the Rangers winner😂.

6.) 09 Mar 2017 16:46:27
i said that the other day tim that the real dodgy decisions will be in one off cup games (whats the betting thomson will ref the semi? ) but i still expect the usual pro-sevco decisions on sunday with brother madden in charge.

7.) 09 Mar 2017 18:50:44
are there no KT or Knights of St Columba refs around?

8.) 09 Mar 2017 19:40:20
Doesn't matter who's the ref on sunday we have superior players, tactics, management and the noise of the hoops faithfull.

Madden might keep the score down but he can't stop us.

9.) 10 Mar 2017 01:31:35
The ref will give us a dodgy pen or a goal from an offside position so that when he gives the rangers an honest mistake in the cup the whataboutery will be in full flow along with it even's itself out over the season look at your goal/ pen/ shoulda been sent off usual crap.

23 Nov 2016 21:38:29
Well that's it for another year, the players not good enough are glaringly obvious, ES, IE, JF, CMcG, turning point was the Dembele miss and their dodgy penalty. Rodgers must work on getting the players to shoot when the opportunity presents itself and stop abdicating responsibility by looking for the pass, keep the faith.

BadBhoy

1.) 23 Nov 2016 22:07:23
Have to disagree, JF I thought he done well in the second half. He may ultimately have a bad run at some point but so far this season he has played his part. We are lucky to have Izzy as a back up, name me a left back better than him that would come to the club and play second fiddle? Eric is still improving his game and Calum is a squad player not a regular pick.

2.) 23 Nov 2016 23:55:16
ES are you serious? Big Erik was outstanding once again. Him, Brown and Dembele our 3 best performers in the group stage.

3.) 24 Nov 2016 01:27:09
Izzy was tremendous in the first half . The penalty knocked his confidence out of him and he wasn't the same in the second half . Suarez was much too clever for Izzy, got his body into Izzy's space and caught Izzy's arms under his own , looked as if Izzy was wrapped all over Suarez.

28 Sep 2016 21:59:36
Is Dumbele the real deal, for me he keeps getting stronger and stronger, definitely give him a new contract with a release clause of £20m.

BadBhoy

1.) 28 Sep 2016 22:20:56
£50million.

2.) 28 Sep 2016 22:26:03
Will be the best thing to happen since LARS no doudt.

3.) 29 Sep 2016 00:01:26
On this form wee Griff will struggle to get in the team as dembele is on fire.
Outstanding game tonight, it had it all n I thought the players were excellent, really proud tonight n credit to brendan, well chuffed for him.

Credit as always to us fans, said it to the missus as we were leaving the stadium, Celtic park rocking on a champions league night with us all right behind the team cannot be beaten.

I'm in the Lisbon lions stand n at times the man shity fans looked in awe at the sight of our famous atmosphere.
Roll with it at the end with both sets of fans singing was a good end to the night, Celtic first Celtic last Celtic overall, n it isn't impossible for us to get 2nd in this group, we shouldn't fear anyone we are the mighty Glasgow Celtic.
Hail hail.

4.) 29 Sep 2016 09:40:45
I agree Bigshaw - I listened to the patronising comments on to about how we had given ourselves a great chance of getting third please. Why is qualifying for the last 16 not even being considered by these people? I think there's a real chance!
And have to say it was a fantastic performance - I was wondering who was out top performer and then realised I had gone through the whole team making a case for them! Brilliant stuff.

5.) 29 Sep 2016 19:50:32
Spot on Andy, every player to a man was excellent, including the subs, heard some say Griff came on looking uninterested well he didn't look that way 2 me when he won a challenge in the air in the left back position.
As for this group I think we have a great chance to get 2nd spot, city r no great shakes, great players, manager etc but we were more than a match for them n I can see us taking 6 points at home, even 4 would be alright n look to get something in Germany then we could be in a last game play off with city for 2nd.
We r the mighty Glasgow Celtic n our special club when fully backed by the fans n players on side nothing's out of reach, even if u hit the roof u should always aim for the stars.
Just shows what's possible when u give the manager full backing, choice on player recruitment n money to get the right quality of player.
Hail hail.

28 Sep 2016 21:05:53
Talk about shooting ourselves in the foot, poor pass from Dembele but Brown knew he was getting a hospital pass and should have been stronger, for the third should have been a better header from Toure but ES should have cleared properly instead of a poor clearance to a City player, no CL points for moral victories.

BadBhoy

1.) 28 Sep 2016 22:02:39
I Know I Mean That Dembele and Toure and Brown and Erik are Absolutely Sh&%£

2.) 28 Sep 2016 22:16:23
I won't be critical of any player tonight. Everyone of them gave their all and gave us another great memory. Great result.

3.) 28 Sep 2016 22:16:37
ps was being sarcastic - if that wasn't picked up on.

4.) 28 Sep 2016 22:44:34
My comment was more in response to OP Digi.

5.) 28 Sep 2016 23:09:53
Where did I say they were shite? I just pointed out the avoidable self inflicted errors that lead to goals two and three.

6.) 28 Sep 2016 23:40:15
Where did I say you said they were shite?

Please go back and read what was actually said. If you want to be critical about certain things then that is your choice. My choice is to praise our team for a great performance, a great result and for giving the fans a great memory.

Welcome to paradise Ronny, hope you are a success and play the type of football we have only dreamed of in recent times.

Be your own man and remember we are Celtic, second best is not good enough.

We want the treble and CL qualification if you please and oh one final thing, Mulgrew is not a midfielder. Away the Bhoys

Crazy crap Ed, unless the decision has already been taken to sell Fraser Foster, then what manager would sign to have the rug pulled from underneath him before he even steps in the door.

I hope the new manager does well but he can only be as successful as the backing he gets from the board.

Not for the first time I am confused and a bit disappointed by the carry on of Celtic PLC

Kevbhoy, he signed a contract and then he didn't want to honour it. Do you honestly think that playing with Norwich increased his chance of winning a cap, it diminished his chances considerably in my opinion, playing with Celtic he would have had CL exposure and his confidence would still have been high. I'm not bitter I just don't want him back. He had everything in paradise and threw it all away.

He was poor in Europe, what we need is a CF with European pedigree not Hooper back to fight it out with Stokes and Griffiths. I think Kris Commons filled the gap left by Hooper competently.

Talk about having a high opinion of yourself! He got his big move to a big club in a big league and guess what he was a big fat flop. So as far as I'm concerned he can beg PL all he wants but I think he'll find his level in the Championship.

I agree but my point is the corner should never have been conceded and realistically any keeper worth his salt would have punched that cross clear. Gordon is unable to command his area.

Thanks Bhoys. Personally I'd try O'Connell before I'd try Ambrose or Boyota but I know the CL qualifiers are not ideal for finding out whether a player can sink or swim.
