Not sure where these stories and amounts quoted come from but surely anything around the 2.5M-5M mark, based on how CCV has performed so far this season, would represent good value.
Especially when you consider Ajeti coat 5M!

I really hope the club fully backs our manager after seeing the vast improvement he has instigated these past few months.
Ideally we would like to secure CCV and Jota permanently, while adding much needed quality in key middle-t0-front areas and the rumours are we are heavily scouting in Japan to secure this.
The budget may have to be stretched over the next two 'windows' to bring in everyone Ange would like. However, at the same time we have around half a dozen who could be sold to raise some funds?

It's getting very tedious waiting, wondering and even worrying who will be our next manager. Definitely not the much needed lift and excitement the support deserves after such a calamitous season. Whoever it is and there have been quite a few linked - and available (incidentally I was hoping for Benitez) ; what is the hold-up?
I think Favre would be welcomed by many fans, but Howe seems to be the prime candidate in most of the speculation?

Auf1888, I'm not too sure how much pressure Favre would have been under at his previous clubs relative to Celtic. Apart from Favre's short spell at Dortmund, I don't see much between either of them in that sense.

Brendan has been strangely subdued the longer the window has gone on and was shaping up to not be anywhere near the expectations that he spoke about almost since summer window closed and up to after January had opened . I don’t think I heard the same strong language about getting strong decent players in from BR in last 2 wks. I wonder having looked at was available, did Board Recruitment team and BR accept that there was no value in the market they were seeking to buy and decided to leave it to summer . It might make sense, but I certainly don’t agree with it as buying half a dozen ist team players in June to August isn’t going to give us any chance in Europe, once again . We need continuity and consistency to compete against better teams.
