I see Tony Watt got player of the month!

Can anybody see him back at Celtic Park in a couple years?

I think he could really turn his career around if he gets his head down there. He was without a club for a while and maybe that’s exactly what he needed to realise he was ruining his career.

Not a chance. He's never going to get a big team again. Just another David goodwillie.

{Ed007's Note - That's a bit much!}

I can see him back at Parkhead in a St Johnstone shirt and maybe a few other away teams but not in a Celtic shirt.

Lol Kev, He’s always had a bad attitude and was never the best trainer even from a young age. Can have all the ability in the world but if the attitude is wrong then there’s not much a manager or coach can do.

Big waste of talent ed. Seriously. Both of them could have done so much in the game and blew it.

{Ed007's Note - Watt can still turn it around though, maybe not to a playing for Celtic level again and I think he would have been better off joining Kilmarnock under Stevie Clarke or even Hibs under NL to get him back on track but he's doing well so far at St Johnstone if he can just keep focused.
I watch Watt streaming on Twitch and he seems a lot more settled and relaxed than he has in years, he trains in the morning then it's straight home to get streaming and playing video games and when he talks about playing football you can hear in his voice that he's passionate about it again AND more importantly enjoying training/playing for the first time in years.
So it's 🤞 for the lad from me and if LG can turn it around and become a top striker there's nothing stopping Watt from doing the same. Ronny Deila went a long way to making LG the player he is now after getting inside his head and hopefully someone can do the same with Watt before it does become too late.}

I just can't see him getting any higher than he is now ed.
But I do hope your right as he's one of our own.
But I do think there are differences between him and the griff as well.
Yes griff was close to blowing it at celtic but even then he had a steady stream of goals and that's why ronny really worked on him.

{Ed007's Note - He's only 24 and had got plenty of time to knuckle down, technically Watt's a better all round player than LG was at that age imo.}

I was going to say I think Griffiths is a prime example of players turning their career around, i wasn’t pleased when we signed him but I’d love to see him retire in the hoops now.

Watt is only 24, if he works hard over the next few years I can see him joining us in his prime. I really wish he got the chance to work with Deila tbh.

Even if he doesn’t come back, best of luck to him he seems like a good lad.

{Ed007's Note - 👍

Leigh Griffiths has scored goals since he was 16. The reason he struggled was because of Deila.

Deila tried to play him on the right wing then when he got bad results Griffiths went up top and scored 40 goals.

Griffiths pulled it back for Deila not the other way about.

Don’t agree Tesla regarding RD, he wasn’t everyone’s cup of tea but not everything he did was poor.

When we get 10 iar Ronnie can rightly have his momement in history and I wish him all the best.

As for Tony Watt for me he has scored one of the most memorable goals I have ever seen and I wish him all the best.
I hope he turns it around and re signs for us hitting his peak years, then turns over Barcelona once again.

Island Celt. I have nothing against Deila. I was just pointing out Griffiths was a goalscorer with a similar scoring record all through his career.

I wouldn't credit Deila for that. I do think Deila used him wrong initially but learned his lesson.

Just like he also tried to play Armstrong as a winger. His style though helped Rodgers come in to tweak things and not overhaul a team.
