Ajer was fantastic for Norway, against Australia yesterday. It didn't look mike his debut and was bossing the defence and was dangerous when he carried the ball forward.
Looked like he played there for years.

He is a big talent and I am grateful to Deila for bringing him to celtic.

I can see this kid going to the very top as he has the ability and the correct attitude.

A right back and centre half in the summer and with KT and Ajer and pissibly Hendry, we might avoid getting horsed in Europe. A new keeper too would be great, we can dream. Surely now Brendan realises he has no choice but to bring in players who step right in. Ajer looking more and more Ike the real deal. Another two and domestic domination assured with real hope in Europe.

Well said RAW Deila deserves enormous credit for bringing him to CP. I hope we tie him down soon because it is now a matter of who plays beside him.

Two many. Posters jump in, without thinking carefully, Ajer is a perfect example of buying a young lad and spending a couple of years modelling and developing him into the player the manager wants .
Scot Sinclair is a wonderful example of the Manager buying a player who hits the ground running and became player of the season in his first year .
We have bought numerous youngsters and numerous experience players who for whatever reason have failed to become at Celtic the player the manager hoped he would come . There is no set way of buying success but if a club wants a good fully developed player for any position with a decent chance of doing a decent job in Europe the price will start at around £10 m and we don't and won't have many £10 m to hand- out, no matter how confident we are of buying a star for Europe .
We will have to start with players in various stages of development and do our best to bring them on like Ajer . We will need good players coming through every year, so don't worry if they arn't all ready for next season.

Please feel free to correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't there talk of Cristophe Ajer Captaining Norway at the very early age of 16 when RD brought him to Parkhead .?

Not often do I agree with Chris but he is spot on this occasion I would be happy with the team ww need a gGK but Bain reminds me already of a thinner Artur Boruc he clearly has strong hands and very comfortable with the catch so give him a chance but I would be delighted at blowing our budget on Danny Ward

Then I would wait till Christmas and sign John McGinn, James MacLean and Cedric Kipre all on Bosman"s (Y)

The Sno Man. He was captain for his side Start a few times at the age of 17, and has been captain for his norwegia youth setup sides. He has only played one game for Norway's first team, and looked more a captain than any player.

I said when you signed him that he could become Norways captain for years to come and i think he will.

To be captain at Celtic at the age of 19 is not reasonable, but if he stays with you for a long time, he could be your captain eventually.

I don't doubt Ajer has all the credentials to make a great captain one day. However, as long as Tierney is there I don't see him doing it at Celtic, as Tierney looks like the natural successor to Brown.
