Hi ED, With the Compper signing primarily for CB but being a cover option for LB and the emergence of Mickey Johnston where do you think that leaves Miller? Would he be deemed as one that would benefit from a loan out in this window? If so would you think part of that deal would mean he has to play LB or his preferred position of LW? Think he could impress on loan in the SPL in his natural position and persuade BR to ditch this attempt to convert in into a LB.

{Ed007's Note - I've not heard anything about Miller going out on loan but it would be a good idea imo and especially if Rodgers is going to persist with changing him to a LB. And yes, teams can be specific about positions they want players to play in whilst out on loan.}

Appreciate your post ed but Larsson was a hero to our club. You can keep the 11-15 million we may have got at the time to keep him with us a year longer. You can't buy some of the memories the King gave us. The guy was a once in a generation player some fans have been lucky to see the likes of Johnstone, Dalglish, McStay and Larsson but these players don't come around to often so when we get them let's just enjoy the chance we have with players with that quality at our club.

Shame that really. Would've liked him to get a run in SPL on loan in attack and give Brendan food for thought as he was once considered the best player in the world at his age. Strange one to try convert him to LB. Can't remember if he's ever been out on loan or not but would be good for him to show what he can do week in week out first before converting him to an unnatural position.

{Ed007's Note - I said at the time I thought it was a bizarre decision too mate. He made some strange decisions like that at Liverpool as well where it was called being 'Brendaned'.}
