Don't know if anyone else listened to talkcrap on the radio today. I was in car and turned it on and it was Jim shining bright.
Point of my post is, they spoke with some guy who writes books and produces documentaries. He has just put one together where he has uncovered a dark side of football in England. It is about sign-on fees etc. for junior players. Examples he gave.

1 kid of 9 has been signed for £24,000 per year.
One kid of thirteen has been signed on a guaranteed 3 year deal for £45,000 A WEEK!

This just highlights the obscene amount of money and how it is abused in England and the lengths they will go to. (It did discuss the involvement of the parents in pushing deals)
