I couldn't be happier today, after half an hour last night I would have been happy with any sort of a win, but to almost certainly put the tie beyond doubt was just brilliant.
I see that there are some people in the press coming out with the tired old line that it isn't good for Scottish football that we are so strong, how Celtic being weaker is supposed to help things is beyond me.
What Celtic have done is what every other club in the league could do, they live within their means, they have hungry players who want to improve, and they have a manager who is able to actually make these players better.
I don't want to start the old "was he a good Celtic manager or not" debate, but you can see with Neil Lennon at Hibs what can happen when you have a manager who is not content to just bump along the bottom, he hasn't spent vast amounts there.
Instead of trying to belittle our success, the rest of Scottish football should be trying to copy us, they may find it enables them to have more than one club in European competition after June.

The Scottish Media is as old an institution as the lodge and their knuckledragging followers who dress up in silly costumes and white gloves. They are inexplicably linked. Don't expect any huge praise for how we destroyed a team the same media thought we would struggle against. That didn't go too well for the sports 'journalists' who had probably already written there damning report on how we struggled to beat an Kazakhstani side.
The BBC English news covered our win better than the Scottish Biased Broadcasting Company!
Our print media and BBC Scotland are an absolute joke!

The only people in Scotland who grudge our success or see it as a blight on the game are still in mourning for the club that died in 2012 and feel only regret, envy and anger.
There was a time in the 80's when Dundee Utd and Aberdeen were the best in Scotland and formidable in Europe and when I started watching football in the early 60's there were Dunfermline, Kilmarnock and Hibs putting up strong domestic challenges and European football.
None of these clubs had pots of cash or sponsorship, but hard working, skilful coaches and players doing their best.
Nowadays far too many players have poor attitudes and large wallets and should be using Celtic as inspiration.
Recently Aberdeen, St Johnstone, Inverness and a few others have faltered too soon in qualifiers against poor sides, but mysteriously raise their game a handful of times a season when it suits?

was mentioned in commentary that the FA in Kazi postponed the game Astana have this weekend so they can have the ideal prep for the games.

meanwhile in Scotland we have EIGHT games in August. I know its early and we should be fit - but MD and LG were both injured and apparently we can't have 3 top class strikers here.

Wonder if we will get free weekends when the Champions League fixtures are announced, you know to give us a chance to fly the flag, and put more money into Scottish clubs.

We got ragers 270k and they still haven't paid for the lavvies.

Its all wrong - another example of how good we have to be PLUS 10% on top.
