Ed, How do you feel about future contracts if/ when we win 8 in a row. Do you think having the carrot of going for 9 or players being history makers going for 10 will play a huge part in getting players to extend contracts or even us being able to attract new players in. It will surely be a huge incentive for any player to be a part of it. Guys that signed last season on 3 year deals will be coming to the end of their contracts and if we are successful in getting 8 in a row it's a massive bargaining tool for us really why would anyone want to leave. Puts us in a very good position so winning the title next season and the season after is hugely important and we should be doing everything we can this summer to ensure we have the right squad in place for the next couple of years atleast.

{Ed007's Note - Guys like KT and hopefully Armstrong will want to stay around for 10 - I know KT has told people that - and players like Brown and Lustig will hope to still be playing for us I'd imagine depending on the condition of their bodies.}

I'm probably in a minority of one here, but I don't really like all this talk of ten in a row.
Obviously I hope that we do it, but I think that we should just enjoy this period in our history, however many titles we rack up.
Looking 4 years down the line you can't tell what will happen, hopefully things will be as they are now, but you never know in football.
The press in Scotland would love us to fall short of 10 in a row, they would paint it that the last 10 years has been a failure, I don't think that's the case.
I'm only interested in what we do in the coming season, if we repeat what we do in the season just gone I'll be very happy.
I will get excited about 10 in a row in 3 years time, if we are in a position to go for it, until then I just want to keep enjoying the football we are playing.

Not me Gerry loving the 10 in a row talk.

whats making it more enjoyable, is watching sevco wasting money they haven`t got trying to stop us.

Big Mexican wave coming soon. bye bye Sevco.

Gerry I think 10 in a row is exactly what we should be aiming for as a club and as fans. We are on 6 and we need to build from a position of strength. The Board need to show us they have a plan and a way to take us forward on and off the pitch. Having a target like 10 is exactly what we need we should make it our obsession. The Manager we have, the players we have and the overall state of the club should ensure 10 is not a dream but a reality. As i said last week we need to invest and make sure the gap doesn't just stay as big as it currently is but becomes wider each season. We have a huge opportunity to create history and that's exactly what we should do.

Ed, cheers for reply I'm expecting either KT or SA to be the captain when 10 is lifted. Hope when Broonie calls time on his playing career there is a coaching position for him at Celtic Park.

{Ed007's Note - I think Brown will be hoping he's still captain lol

Gerryc I don't worry about the MSSM trying to prevent us winning ten in a row . They have done their best trying to stop us winning one, and then two in a row, they may have played a major role in stopping RD bringing us through to six ( aided by fans and then our own players ) but all the media achieved was getting us Brendan and making us multiple times stronger.

Stan, I think if you concentrate on each individual season the future ones take care of themselves.
We have just enjoyed an unbeaten season, before Christmas nobody really spoke of doing it, we just concentrated on each match, but if we had lost a match along the way, it would still have been a great season.
I want every title we win to be special, I'm pretty sure that won't have any bearing on how many titles we end up with.

Agree that we definitely have to take each game and season as it comes but its also hugely important that we have long term targets so that we don't take our eye of the ball. We can't stand still and i'm optimistic it will be a good summer for the club. New players coming in, players we don't need leaving and continued work or plans for the stadium and surrounding area. Sevco won't see us for dust when we are singing here we go eleven in a row.

Got to chuckle at the worshippers, too busy seeing the emperor's new clothes in the first instance, not to notice what was happening in reality, not content with that, they are now trying to rewrite history, blaming everyone else but the I mean how bad would it have to have got with Ronnie, before you would admit he is a lovely guy but he is not a manager, it was people like you oldbhoy.

Ten in a row is the goal that keeps me going . I would be heart broken if we lose it .
To me we have done the ground-work, we have the squad available and great youth coming through . We have a top manager who understands the club and fans.

Aindoh there was a lot of unrest at the club in Ronnies last year. don't be too hard on Chris he is a real Celtic fan. Like you i disagreed with bis RD view but cut him in 2 and he would bleed green. God bless him. A few things have come out about how RD worked with the squad but more to come im sure. When you get BR in and see the difference its frightening. Well done to DD for getting him in. My biggest fear is losing Brendan. If we keep him we will do 10. Hope for a good CL run this year. don't think Gers will qualify either. So happy.

I make no apology for backing and supporting any Manager or player who tries his best for Celtic . We are all in awe with Brendan for his treble and rightly so, but remember
" hapless"Ronnie was one total diabolical decision from attaining the treble in his first season . Ronnie failed because he was too nice a man and too inexperienced to handle the hostile media . Some of fans sided with the MSSM and then the dissent spread to dressing room and it was all over for Ronnie his goose was cooked .

Aindoh of course you are a rather late conversion to Ronnie, u wanted Moyes .
After you watche the first Barcelona match on the radio, you wrote pages ridiculing Brendan and his tactics.
