Anyone considered that signing Johnny Hayes could be the same idea as signing doris? Surely would light a fire under forest! As with Gordon. I believe forest would never surpass Roberts but give him something to beat and it could fulfil his potential which I think he never has reached.

De Vries was signed as Gordon's replacement but was garbage i doubt it was to scare Gordon into playing better.
