Just chatting to my little bhoy and he asked me who I thought player of the year was. I think I've just made a case for virtually everyone!
Who would everyone say?

{Ed007's Note - Broony. Captaining us to a (hopefully) treble and an undefeated season, not to mention the way he has played and dominated the entire game up here considering people were saying he was finished last year.
He's been with us 10 years now and I know there's people that won't like it, even in our own support, but Brown has the chance to make himself a Celtic legend in the coming years, in fact if he becomes just the third captain in our history to lift a Treble I'd have him up there nudging McStay's perch in my own wee Hall of Fame.}

I would give player of the year to BR I know he is not a player before any one steps in but what a difference he has made its nothing more than miraculous and to be honest the full team deserves player of the year for me.

I TOTALLY have to agree with ed. I was asked yesterday by a currant bun in work who my POTY would be, and when I said Brown he looked shocked! 'No Sinclair or Dembele'. naw mate. I actually WATCH fitba'!

{Ed007's Note - It just seems that Brown's been the main cog of our on field successes and he's developed into a top class midfield general. The way he looks after himself there's no reason why he can't play on for years and get even better under Rodgers' tutelage.
Broony's here for 10 in a row!}

I wouldn't disagree at all, but as I said Brown, I also thought how it could be Sinclair, Armstrong, Dembele, Teirney. God, what a season the team have had!

{Ed007's Note - We've had contenders all through the team but for me their leader deserves the plaudits.}

Moty awards will take care of BR 😉.
I can see eds point about brown his passing and leadership has went up a level this season. His interviews have been class as well. It's usually the goal getters that have the crown so SS has to be up there- what a signing. Never gave it much thought but broony should pick up at least 1 player or players player.

I think Sinclair just edges it. 25 goals in 22 different games is some record. He turns up every week. No surprise that Dembele had his dip in form when Sinclair was injured. He brings the best out of other players.

I should have said. last season I though Broony was dun! Thought we had good service from him and when BR said he was integral to the team I thought he was putting on a face. I would have taken £3m for him at the start of the season. THANK GOD I KNOW FLOOK ALL! LOL HH!

{Ed007's Note - :-D

A lot of broonys success this year probably stems back to when BR met him during the summer for a chat at his house. BR would of been instilling another level of confidence and self belief. also I think broony seems smarter on the field in terms of position and picking passes might be down to the extra work he's doing on the coaching side of the game.
Long may it continue!

I agree ed, love broonie, I always stuck up for him, but where is the genius who used to slag him and blamed him for everything wrong in the team.

{Ed007's Note - To be fair there have been a few posters gave Brown pelters every season on here.}

No one gets near mcstay for me ed.
Him and my dad are the 2 reason I fell in love with celtic.
But broony has been a great celtic player and a fantastic captain.
He's had his ups and downsee but has always came back stronger with his head high and chest out.
He's my player of the year.
He's our beating heart.

I can't believe he is the same player. He was always decent but he is up another few levels now. Great season for Brown as for so many others as well.
