Would absolutely love to see us make a move for Andrea Pirlo. If I am correct I think he is available on a free from Juventus. I know he is 36 but he is still a class act and would add a touch of magic in the same vain as Lubo. Probably on mega wages but this would be offset by the free transfer.

No chance mate! He'll be off to America or middle East! Where he'll make a ton of money and enjoy the weather! Think that beats Dingwall on a freezin cold November night! Haha! Good shout but bud, would a love to have seen him in the hoops!

You are right Wiss67. The article I read mentioned he was going to America. I still think it would be worth sounding him out, even if it meant getting chased. What would we have to loose by asking the question? Imagine seeing Pirlo in the hoops! One of my favourite players of the last decade.

As much as I rate Pirlo and think he still has something to offer, I would not like us to sign him.

For starters I don't think his legs would cope with the high pressing, high intensity style we are hoping to play. Not only that, he would have no sell on clause and would command high wages which are probably beyond our wage structure.

Personally I think we should promote some of the development team this season and maybe sign a backup LB + GK and new striker and CB. In addition it would be nice if we could offload some of the fringe players that are not going to play, even if it is just out on loan to free up wages.

Pirlo is defo a class act he could fit in to any team without any hassles top dollar required for him even at this stage in his career
