Not a rumour, but what about taking Munir El Haddadi on loan from Barcelona? 18 yr old Spanish-Moroccan, currently plays at Mini Estadi for the B team.

Can remember he bagged a few goals in our Group (none against us though) of the UEFA Youth League last season, just looked up how he finished the tournament and it turns out he was involved in most of their goals all the way to winning it: 11 goals + 5 assists in 10 games / 704 mins. Not bad going, considering there is only 10 games from the Group Stage to the Final!

He's also scored 4 goals in 11 games for Barca B + 3 in 3 for Spain's U19s?

Only problem is Arsenal, Bayern n PSG were monitoring him at the start of the year, but we can almost guarantee him first team football. They can't!

Dont think we should be taking players on loan. We are celtic we should be developing and bringing through our own young players not helping other clubs develope theirs.

I don't buy in to your "we are Celtic" theory.

I can understand where you're coming from, but if the opportunity arises to bring in someone better than our current players in that area then I don't see why we wouldn't strengthen? Even if it is only for half a season, or the full season.

Some of the premium brand clubs in Europe (with the exception of Barca) have taken advantage of loan deals in recent years.

R. Madrid: Faubert from West Ham, Adebayor from Man City, Essien from Chelsea

FC Bayern: Donovan from LA Galaxy, Usami from Gamba Osaka; Chelsea: Quaresma from Porto

Benfica: Reyes, Salvio + Silvio from Atletico, Suazo from Inter, Keirrison from Barca, Eduardo from Genoa, etc.

I think you get the point?!

@3. Ridiculous statement. Loan signings are a good thing for any club. They provide immediate cover for positions needing cover, allow club to get a good look at players they are interested in before signing them preventing paying a fortune and potentially wasting money (samaras and miku). They allow a club who are not performing well, sign a player midway through season (january) to give them a lift (bellamy and keane).

Its not about developing other teams players, its getting the best possible player on best terms possible to provide tactical options
