Was talking to a mate today: he has corporate tickets etc etc :
He told me that he had heard from a “ very good source “ that Callum McGregor “ is off in January.
He anyone else heard this?

Did he not just sign a new 5 yr deal.

@ Jonbhoy1 : He did mate but that would only increase the amount we would get IF we sold him.

He won't be sold in January. Seems strange that your 'mate' knows he leaving but doesn't mention a club.

its BR that wants him.

Can't see it. Calmac will want 1st team football with euros coming up and midfield is strongest area for Scotland. Not guaranteed to start in the Leicester team.

Callum McGregor will be the next Celtic captain and be a lifetime Celt in my opinion.

{Ed007's Note - Just like KT was going to be.}

My money's on Christie if Cal Mac heads off but the way he's playing it could easily be both of them.

If Celtic board sanction the sale of McGregor in January. It proves it's bank balance over football.
Not that I need convinced, just the board apologists. he's on a 5yr deal, we have money in bank. No excuses.

EVERY player has his price not just for Celtic and depending on who comes in for the player might unsettle him for a move even though he might not have thought of it before. And I have said before IF he gets unsettled with the offer and the offer is a good deal for the club then we can't stop it or it will be harder to bring in quality players if they think they won't get a move that they want sadly in most cases loyalty to the one club is scarce more so if you are really good.

Peter Bhoy there's a great chance Rodgers will get the Arsenal job and I don’t see him taking Calmac or Ajer to Arsenal which is good news for us .

{Ed007's Note - Marcelino has already been asked if he would be open to working with the current Arsenal squad. The thing is they have no money to spend over the next couple of windows after dipping into their savings to bankroll Emery.}

Cal mac will only be sold if he doesn't want to be here.
Just the same as KT.
For me any player that doesn't want to be here should be shipped out anyway.

Rodgers would be stupid to go arsenal. McGregor will most likely leave at some point and Leicester is an obvious possibility. You don't need 'insider info' to know that. But I would be surprised if it's in January unless it's silly money or he kicks up a fuss. Which I doubt. Summer is a real possibility though.

DRA1967 I honestly don’t know why you bother supporting Celtic nothing in any of your posts are positive 9/ 9 trophies going for nine titles in a row just won the Europa cup group a final next week why can’t you just enjoy what we are achieving just now instead of cheap shots at Lawwell and the board and anything Celtic .

I'd be amazed if Rodgers went to Arsenal so soon after being a rat at Celtic. He has Leicester playing very well and it's clear he's enjoying where he is. Mind you, he said he was happy here until he changed his mind lol.
The Gunners job won't appeal to too many decent quality managers at the minute and certainly not a manager with ambition which is what Rodgers says took him to Leicester in the first place. I think he'd do his credibility a lot of harm if he walked out on Leicester so soon even if he did make Arsenal into a top team again. HH.
