I think our BR is stopping the deal for MD the board will be chapping at the bit for the money which in some way are backing BR even more what do use think EDs.

Marseille met with Celtic and were willing to offer a player in part exchange in addition to cash, but nothing could be done due to Celtic and they turned elsewhere and met with Juventus in Monaco yesterday (also to no avail). Schalke stepped back and will hang on to a player who was due to move and that leaves Lyon who have had an offer rejected, and may return with one more whilst the concerned parties are in Monaco today, but they will want an answer by a fixed time they will determine as they have an alternate player in mind. Fofana has spoken with Lyon and confirmed that the player wants to move.}

So in your opinion ED002 will this go down or will he stay?

{Ed002's Note - They would have had a take it or leave it offer from Lyon this morning and unless they have agreed the move or do so shortly then he will have to stay as Lyon have an option on another player that they will invoke later today. I can't say what will happen but the player very clearly wants the move and I think he should be allowed it.}

Ed002 obviously I don’t know what promises were made to Dembele, don’t you think the player would understand how difficult it is to replace him so late on?

Obviously the club should have been more prepared and I would rather sell him than keep an unhappy player but I can’t imagine we have anyone lined up.

Kev has a point. If he wants to go then let him i agree with that. But we set the price, not him and certainly nit Lyon. If we are saying he's nit for sale then its not fair i suppose. Still don't condone using social media tho, he's let himself down there.

Ed002. The media reported that Germain wanted no part of any exchange deal.

Its not really fair to say the Marseille deal was done because of Celtic then. It was done because 1. Marseille didn't offer full cash and 2. The exchange player they offered wasn't keen.

{Ed002's Note - No, Marseille were willing to pay cash if that is what Celtic wanted. It failed because of Celtic which led to the discussions in Monaco yesterday.}

Ed2, I think most of us would disagree with the idea that MD wouldn't need replacing. In fact even BR has been quoted as saying he needs 3 main strikers, not to play in every game but to choose from. HH.

Got to say I think he would need replacing. We have 2 other capable strikers but can you imagine both of them staying fit for a season!
