Apparently being linked to a season long loan for Benkovic if Boyata leaves. Yet to make Leicesters squad since signing for £13m on a 5 year deal.

We'll need to do something as I don't fancy putting our defence without boyata into the people game. Even if we get new players in n sell boyata what a baptism of fire for the new guy/ s, club have dithered here giving little to no time to bed in players is a joke.

Not that it wasn't obvious, but it is Abundantly clear their has been no CH signing strategy this year. Basic planning would know contracts and players situation, dates of key games and dates of window to get players in and ready for key fixtures. Everything we are doing now is rushed n reactionary, bad enough it wasn't sorted for CL qualifications, if we go into the first Derby with hendry, ajer n jozo as only CHs options then someone at celtic needs to be taken to task.

Yeah we've been linked with him for a few seasons. But clearly out of our price range. I got some stick in work when we was knocked out of CL as all the guys support Leicester so I was saying you lot can loan us Benkovic seeing as he's not making the squad. Again though it's a loan answer isn't immediately solving the CB issue but he is quality. Come the CL qualifiers next season (potentially) are we going to try qualify being short at the back again.

Agree Kmax and Jozo or Boyata didn't exactly cover themselves in glory last season against them in the 3-2 game.

Watching last night's Sportscene and it's the first time I have seen Sevco Steve's team so far. They reminded me of the Jock Wallace side of the 70's power and pace, kick and rush football and although I thought Motherwell looked to have outplayed them (particularly in the second half) , we will need to be strong and especially quick at the back down either wing to cut out crosses.
Apart from that if you look at the bigger picture, OK we have had defensive problems and our strikers/ attackers are off the boil; but we have dominated possession in almost every game and a better final ball and finishing will make all the difference.
The best TRIFC 2012 team ever assembled have just conceded three and sit a point behind a struggling Celtic - what's all the fuss?

I have no doubt that he is a good player but I don't think it says a lot about our scouting system/ board just now if at this late in the window all we can come up with as a loan signing I am sure there is good / better CBs than what we have out there that we can afford to be our player not just to panic loan to try to appease the supporters YES we had one of the best defence records last year but in Europe we were found out badly I for one am still angry we did not fix that AT THE START OF THE WINDOW we might have still been in the CL qualifiers if we had.
