He was very good from what I remember. That's a huge time to be out for though. Could go either two ways really - shrewd signing, OR odd, uninspiring signing. Obviously the coaching/ fitness staff will run the rule over him so let's just see what they think of that knee.

Free transfer, injury prone - not the kind of RB we need but no surprise with this.

He is not injury prone. He had one massive injury if I mind right.

We were linked with this boy i'm sure, a few years back.

Yes, he could come back from a bad injury like Henrik, who was just as brilliant, or he could come back like Ian Durrant, who was never the same player after his, is a gamble, I don't know anything about the lad, but if he is a good player, surely is worth a short term contract, with some sort of option to elongate it, to find out, if his football ability and confidence is top notch, I mean he could pass the medical with flying colours but touch might be gone, I broke my knee years ago, it took me a long time to get my confidence back to walk and run, never mind play football.

Its not really a gamble is he is free.

Never seen him play in my life, never heard of him, not inspiring.

Oh, sorry didn't realise, he was going to stick around for free, turn upto training for free, play a few games for free, ok, that's sound enough.

We took a similar chance in signing Craig Gordon in 2014 and 4 years later he is still first choice for club and country, let Brendan assess the boy before we write him off, he could turn out to be a top signing .
