celtic only gona sign the revaldo kid from south Africa, our money is gona go towards offering new bumper deals like dembele an grif etc Rodgers is happy with his squad an wanta to test young Miller as second choice left back! Don't build your hopes up for paddy Roberts its not happening as we may go back in January for an actual bid rather than loan! Man city have stood firm they won't loan him to celtic they only sell!

That to me sounds like there is no ambition to move on in Europe wae the squad we have at the moment no way are we getting past 3rd spot this year the will maybe there but the desire from the board not so much.

If I don't see a big player come in after the 60+ million we've brought in over the past season and a bit i will be gutted. Surely Rodgers knows he can strengthen anywhere on the park. That Right Wing spot needs filled pronto. Like ED always says Florist won't be the player he is currently all season. Always drops off, and that's no good in my opinion. They speak of "multiple targets" but they don't do anything about it. Standard Lawell.

Who said that matt lawells said ladt night hoping to get :2 signings over the line: quote.

25 Aug 2017 13:30:34
I'm sorry but where are you getting this from? do you know exactly what's going on in the boardroom or are you just hoping we don't sign any quality signings.

5.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 13:34:34
Nonsense. Plus BR has tested Calvin Miller at left back on numerous occassions already that's hardly or anything we don't know already.

How many sugars does Ian Bankier take in his Tea that's what I really want to know.

7.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 13:40:00
You reckon the 2 signings are Roberts and ****** or is it Roberts and Coetzee? He had said the Coetzee deal was done, so is it 3 players coming in? Darkie on BT sport said something about a 10 million pound striker? I.

8.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 14:07:10
emmm *who* on BT Sports?!?!?!

9.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 14:15:09
Even if we spent 100 million on players we would only finish 3rd, maybe. Splashing money on better players won't help us that much so what's the point. Brendan can bring the best out in what we've got. Why not keep it that way. Ntcham for 4.5million looking a bargain. If we get another couple like that over the next few seasons were laughing.

25 Aug 2017 15:01:13
That's what Hartson was calling him cavalcanti haha. I'm on about progressing the squad now deila. Players take time to gel. Eboue has taken a year for example. Unluckily picked up an injury.

11.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 15:27:47
You can only develop your own to a point it's about getting a balance you can't stand still youve got to keep strengthening who knows we might surprise the big hitters.

12.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 15:43:46
Its not a rumour it's facted, paddy ain't coming home city will sell but we r to far under the valuation, its no lie he wants another crack up here but from the start he has the desire to play in the premier league, as for Miller am talking about the champions league he hasn't been tested against the rangers. Not that its a test! But don't build your hopes up about 2 signings! Ave heard lawells says a lot a things through the years an nothing has happened so believe what use will, use r gona get worked up for no reason, have faith in the team like the manager simple.

Cant beat a bit of early team news. So BR is going to either drop KT, play him in a different position or substitute him so that he can test CM in 6 of our most important games of the season. Sorry but that is nonsense.

14.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 17:04:36
CM is a great player and has a big future ahead of him at Celtic but if he is only going to be tested at CL level this season if KT is unavailable. He is more than capable of playing LB in the SPL at the moment where it is less of a risk his time at CL level will come once he has learnt how to play this new position. Id like to see him given some game time in his more natural attacking position.

15.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 17:31:27
He needs to build himself up a bit. Think that will come with age! Ralston reminds me of Adam Matthews for some reason haha.

16.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 17:47:16
I could believe that tbh.

17.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 17:55:51
never says he'll push kt out the team behave yerself mate, my point is he is the reason why we haven't bought a back uo left back, wouldn't b surprised if kt plays centre back in more games through this season in the league, both ralston will b in same situation see a lot more game time, would love a centre back an winger but I doubt it will happen.

I thought I heard some banter about Hartson on the matchday chitchat, Ken. Didn't catch his remarks myself, but they're obviously offensive. It wasn't that long ago we were all outraged at the vile treatment of Scott Sinclair after all. Let's keep the language inclusive on here, at least.

19.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 18:16:42
Your saying BR is going to test him in CL if that's the case where? he's not going to start at left back ahead of KT or start at left mid ahead of SS. We all know he is currently 2nd choice LB and he will start plenty SPL games against the diddy teams like Kilmarnock, Dundee, Sevco and Partick.

20.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 18:24:32
His name is Ian Darke. That's why he gets called Darkie Cavalcanti. It's a nickname.

21.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 19:28:46
And this wholeheartedly proves, that political correctness has condemned some people to a life of jumping the gun and being left with egg or their face, like kirk broadfoot.

Fair enough Ken, thanks for explaining. As a former 'Starky' I catch your drift.

I still object to 'darkie' however. Its not like the word doesn't have a very specific usage and history in British English. The Oxford English Dictionary defines it as follows: 'darkie. A Black, esp. a Southern U. S. Black (usu. considered patronizing or offensive) ' To use the term, however unwittingly, is to invoke a history of enslavement, segregation, and white supremacism that is anything but over.

But then I never did get why it was 'Packie' Bonner either. Sometimes, a name is just name. The fact that both are very white males makes all the difference to the context, of which I was wholly unaware. But 'Darkie on BT sport said' invites a challenge, surely!

23.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 22:27:39
I'm the context the word has been used there is no issue. Dry your eyes mate.

24.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 22:46:28
'I'm the context' or 'in the context' Dafa?

Probably were talking about a different language anyway.

25.) 25 Aug 2017
25 Aug 2017 23:08:50
As a black Celtic fan I was pissed off to read about the darkie on BT Sports. Okay I didn't watch the show.

{Ed007's Note - Nobody used the term 'the darkie'. Behave yourself and stop looking for something to be offended by. It's been explained and if you've got a problem take it up with BT or even the man himself as he's been known as Darkie in sporting circles and the media for years.}

26.) 26 Aug 2017
26 Aug 2017 08:52:36
Taking offence to this is like taking offence to pat bonner getting called packie.
