Great stuff Could you ever see RD returning Ed? Was told by someone in the know that Rodgers really rates him and thought a lot of the work he done set good foundations for him and that the sports science stuff was first class.

{Ed007's Note - Rodgers has been full of praise for the foundations RD put down behind the scenes and he was surprised the sports science department was as advanced as it was. Even though I'd love us to hire him in some capacity I just can't see it. It would need to be replacing someone like McCart as Head of Youth Development and I can't see him going anywhere soon.}

Hi ED I really hope the PR signing come through but if it doesn't do u think they will try anybody else?

{Ed007's Note - Not specifically for the RW position, Rich, no. If the Roberts deal doesn't come off I think we'll look at other attacking players who can cover playing as a striker if needed, that's what Rodgers has said he's looking for rather than a 3rd choice striker.}

By the sound of big Kennedy we shouldn't get our hopes up of anythin happening soon with paddy! ED I really hope we don't hang about til the last days of the window and get left with hee haw! Surely we're looking at other attacking options rite now mate? I'm like everyone else and would love to get paddy back in, but what an anticlimax it would be if we missed out on him and didn't get anyone else! Still plenty of time in the window left of course but it wouldn't be the first time we've arsed about with these things!

{Ed007's Note - I'm pretty confident that something will get done with Roberts.}

10.) 10 Aug 2017

Well he's not Marcello Bielsa or 62 years old but i'd say he's very worthy of coaching our youngsters.

Some people are negative . I am sure B R took into consideration S M coaching credentials when deciding he was man for job . I trust B R decision making .

I remember you sneered at me for suggesting C P pitch needed a couple of more weeks to bed down . Appears it is now well nigh perfect, but sure u would only complain about it.

Wels I don't always agree with you but your spot on there.
Ronny laid a lot of the foundations for what Rogers has built in my eyes.

Well said Welshboy RD did not have the stature (Or experience maybe? ) to fully implement his ideas, but I firmly believe the steps he took has assisted Rodgers in his task. On top of which he won two title to keep us on track for the 10 in a row and almost won a treble in his first season. He was not everyone's cup of tea but his place in history is there for me.
I would like to see some form of link up with Ronnie, I thought he was intelligent and forward thinking.

Did Kris commons every play under BR?

Nice to see some sensible posters acknowledging the work and foundations laid by RD. Rodger's will have found it a heck of a lot easier taking over from RD. Said when RD was here, that the more I warmed to what he was doing, the more I seen him as a key figure in the background and perhaps not a manager (the fact he wasn't really given the chance to be a proper manager is something else) but more to do with youth development. I hope we've kept his number.

Am the only one out of ma mates that says anything good about deals, am grateful for the job he done. A hope he comes back one day. Maybe as manager if he has some more success but ad love him to be in the backroom staff the now.
