Ed a lot of people, including yourself, have suggested Celtic could or should go for John McGinn in the summer. I've noticed that the social media rumours are gathering pace after BR praising him. Are you aware of any genuine interest from the club to make something happen?

{Ed007's Note - John Park had McGinn scouted and we were keeping an eye on him but I don't know what the new scouting regime will think of him. I'd imagine Lee Congerton will want to see him for himself before deciding if scouting him should continue.}

Cheers. I like the look of him and a boy in work is really good mates with him and says he'll be leaving Hibs in the summer. BR has said he wants to be making an impact in Europe though and he's maybe not at that level.

{Ed007's Note - I said the same thing but he's more than capable of holding his own on the domestic front. I'd also try and get shot of Scott Allan as part of any deal.}

How do you know that jamesbhoy67, because he's from Clydebank? Moving south didn't work well for his older brother, so a few more years up here would be better suited.

my family has been friends with john's family going way back more than 70 years, john went to school with my son so its safe to say i've had a few conversations with him and his family about it, he's had his heart set on playing down south for years, his two brothers weren't as good as john.

i've said to him never mind england get yourself in the hoops, but i said the same thing to my friend kevin gallacher, and playing in england didn't do kevin any harm 53 international caps later.

If Celtic come calling I'm pretty sure there's a good chance he'll end up in the hoops. Realistically who down south is going to target him? The only club mentioned in January was Sunderland and they'll be a championship club in the next few weeks! If he'd prefer to play in the Championship over coming to Celtic I'd be very surprised. Big Celtic supporting family will guide him.

as i said kev i know the boy doesn't think he's good enough to get a game for celtic, i think rodgers will be targeting a higher class of player for the champions league next season.
