Ed, is there still interest from Celtic in James McCarthy? Seems to have all gone quiet on that one

I honestly hope our interest in McCarthy has faded, don't think he will improve our squad in anyway . Who's place does he take? He has hardly kicked a ball and when he does play for his club or country he's not great. Just my opinion! I know a few on here like him but I just don't see it
