Griffiths scored a hat trick but I say he's still not good enough for the 'tic. same as stokes scored a hat trick last week. both are not good enough to wear the green and white.

2.) 01 Mar 2014
@edward71 I agree mate. Griffiths will soon be found out in europe. Panic buy

3.) 02 Mar 2014
Think you're both wrong, when you think about the forwards that have wore the green and white in the past, griffiths is better than an awful lot of them, as for europe, that's all in the mind, I think griffiths will be a sensation in europe, we can disagree but we'll just have to wait and see how he does.

I'm being won over. Really didn't want him, thought he was just a wee ned who didn't deserve to wear the hoops. But he puts in a shift, more team orientated than some and sharp in front of goal. Certainly as good as Hooper looked and nobody complained about him in Europe. Here's hoping he'll be our latest star!

5.) 02 Mar 2014
If they are so good then why are neither regular starters for their respective national sides?

6.) 02 Mar 2014
Give the boy a chance, he has scored 4 goals in 2 games, he has had his problems off the field but haven't we all? why is everyone saying hopper this hopper that, we took hopper and turned him into the player he was and now look where he is? In a team that will prob finish just above the drop and can't even get a run in the team! I think everyone is thinking he was some sort of wonder kid yes he was ok on form but calm down .

{Ed007's Note - His stats are he has played in 5 games and scored 4 goals.}

7.) 02 Mar 2014
Y no pukki yesterday? Is he injured?

8.) 02 Mar 2014
Everyone goes on about super hooper, how many goals did he score for celtic in Europe,

{Ed007's Note - 7 in 19 matches.}

9.) 02 Mar 2014
@bobo2009 hooper was already well on the way before celtic. Stats show he was a better player than Andy Carroll, in the championship (a more competitive league than SP) so can't see how you can suggest celtic did all the work turning him into player he is today.

Problem he has at Norwich, is they have a tactically unaware manager (like us) who plays 1 up front. Hooper plays better as part of a duo, so he is not playing best at moment.

Nobody is saying he was a wonderkid, that's what you class likes of messi, neymar, etc. What he did do, was put ball in the back of net consistently- the sole job of a striker.

We have been lacking that all season and I think your post is a bit disrespectful to a servant who goals proved crucial many a time.

Ijust cause griffiths scored hat trick, does not mean he is the solution to problems. If he was that good, wolves would not have struggled to get rid of him. What has he actually done?

Hooper and Griffiths aren't even similar in my opinion, - Hooper was more cold in front of goal, and would pass the ball into the net, he was much more aware. All I'll say at the moment about Griffiths is he works hard/has a great left peg, but I don't fancy him so much as a player. I am not judging the kid for his off field stuff - God it's part of growing up, and he actually seems quite humble and even misunderstood. It is purely that I feel we have far too many players who are alright/not enough, if any who are brilliant(Forster potentially) I was watching sportscene last night for the first time in maybe 2/3 years - I watched the whole show, it was like a pub league, I was sitting with a brass neck. Some of the players don't even look fit/technically they are awful/they can't pass the ball. Something needs done yesterday. This guy Wotte, who was sacked after a few months at Southampton years ago, I know he is working with the youth, but we need real visionaries, not the dinosaurs we had for years, and we need money from the government to do something drastic. Our academies are producing £200,000 players opposed to £20 million players. I don't know who thought of Wotte, what we need is a Van Gaal type to change the whole structure. Celtic also need to do more-Lawwell is saying everything we have is the best in the world, well we don't have the best youth structure/best coaches/best manager/best players, so he needs to forget the platitudes and sort it out. He said we are in the best financial position in our history, well let's get the best youth coaches in the world to begin with, and change the whole mentality.
